Chahat was sitting in front of her dressing table, quietly removing her jewelry and wiping off her makeup. The room was calm, but her thoughts were still tangled in everything that had happened throughout the day.
Just then, Aarav entered the room. He sat down on the bed, his feet resting on the floor, his arms crossed, and his expression unusually serious. His gaze was fixed on Chahat, as if he was trying to understand something deeper about her.
After a moment, Chahat turned around and noticed his intense stare. She frowned slightly and asked,
"What happened, Aarav? Why are you looking at me like that?"
Aarav placed his index finger thoughtfully on his chin and said,
"The way you handled that old woman today… the way you understood her situation and didn't let her feel embarrassed… I really liked that side of you."
Chahat smiled softly and replied,
"That was just my duty. I saw her dignity… even when she had nothing, she still respected Maa's words and came. I felt happy about that."
Aarav smiled in return and said warmly,
"I liked your behavior a lot. You are so humble."
After a brief pause, Chahat glanced toward the clock and asked,
"By the way, don't you have to go to the office today?"
Aarav looked into her eyes and replied calmly,
"No."
Chahat seemed surprised. "Why?"
Aarav leaned slightly forward and said,
"Because I have to go somewhere important… and you're coming with me."
Chahat looked confused. "But where are we going?"
Aarav smirked a little and replied,
"You'll find out when we reach there… it's a secret."
Chahat became thoughtful, trying to guess what he meant. Aarav interrupted her thoughts and said,
"Don't think too much. Just get ready."
Trusting him, Chahat nodded and went to prepare herself.
After some time, Aarav brought the car out and helped Chahat sit inside. As they drove through the streets, Chahat started to feel something familiar about the route. The more they moved forward, the more uneasy she became.
Suddenly, her expression changed. She realized where Aarav was taking her. Her heartbeat started racing, and she said nervously,
"Aarav… please stop the car."
The reason for her fear was clear—Aarav was taking her to her parents' house, the same place she had left with broken relationships and unanswered emotions.
Aarav stopped the car and looked at her gently. Holding her gaze, he said softly,
"Trust me… nothing wrong will happen."
After a moment of hesitation, Chahat nodded. She trusted him.
They stepped out of the car and walked toward the house. As Chahat reached the gate, her heart was pounding loudly. Her throat felt dry, and her hands trembled slightly.
Sensing her fear, Aarav held her hand warmly and gave her a reassuring nod, silently telling her that everything would be okay.
Gathering her courage, Chahat slowly pressed the doorbell.
Every second felt heavy as they waited. Finally, the door opened… and standing there was her mother.
The moment her mother saw her, her expression turned cold with anger. She said sharply,
"Why have you come here?"
Without waiting for an answer, she started to close the door.
But before she could shut it, Aarav placed his hand against the door and stopped it. In a calm and respectful tone, he said,
"Please… just listen to us once."
At that moment, Chahat's father appeared from behind and said firmly,
"Let them come inside."
Aarav gently held Chahat's hand and led her inside. Though her mother was still upset, she reluctantly allowed them to sit.
There was silence in the room, filled with tension and unspoken emotions.
Breaking that silence, Aarav spoke politely,
"I won't take much of your time… I just need a few minutes to talk."
Chahat sat quietly, her heart still heavy, her eyes lowered.
Now the question remained—
Will Aarav be able to convince Chahat's parents and mend their broken relationship?
