Kudelia -POV-
I saw the child called Mikazuki climbing in the mobile suit called Gundam Barbatos according to Mr. Nadi. My heart tightend knowing they had to fight because I was here.
"I should just surrender to them." I said in despair
"Nah, this is a matter of pride for them it doesn't matter if your here or not Gjallerhorn attacked and that means we fight simple as that." He explained then quickly shouted to the suit. "Anyway Mika you ready to deploy?"
"Yeah" replied Mika
"By the way where is Kagura I didn't see her earlier?" I asked curious that I could see her.
"She went somewhere 3 hours ago said something about grabbing some extra firepower. I don't know where though. Despite what these kids think about her as a happy go lucky girl who'd sooner kick you in the balls and tell you man up instead of cry about it, and can't keep a secret to save her life. I know different."
"What happened?" I asked
"I'll tell you after this" said Mr. Nadi
There was a rush of wind as Mika in Barbatos burst forward into the battle smashing a graze away from Orga. The scales of battle shifted Orga was about to command mika till the scream on open coms it was maddening.
"Shit!" Mr. Nadi shouted "Where the hell did Kagura find a gundam frame. Wait is that why."
"What do you mean?" The asked
"About a year ago Kagura asked me to teach her some stuff on engineering and repairs didn't think too much of it at the time. It was around that time she started wandering off every now and then. I guess she was fixing that gundam frame but how did she do it by herself I know she's not that smart." Explained Mr. Nadi
There was a sudden shaking followed by a cataclysmic boom. We both looked towards we had previously seen the new mobile suit. Dust flying through. A shrill mad laugh echoed from the machine. I just stared in fear and awe of the machine.
*sigh* "That girl she trys to hard to remain strong" said Mr Nadi I was about to ask but he just continued to explain as if he knew I would ask. "Her first mission with CGS was a disaster. She went out on a routine mission with some of the younger members among the kids she was the only made it back. She was dirty but not single a scratch on her. She tried to make it seem like nothing was wrong and just smile. However Orga saw through her, for some reason he asked me to of all people to check on her. I found her curled up freaking out in a corner of the hanger right over there." he said pointing "She didn't notice me even when I stood infront of her, or maybe she did but didn't care. She was muttering stuff to herself along the lines of "I couldn't protect them they trusted me and I failed." Then, it got weird" he said with a grim expression as we watched her land the mobile suit.
"What do you mean by weird?" I asked curious to know more about the enigma that was Kagura.
"*Sigh* a few minutes after watching her she said why didn't I die? Why can't I die? I should've died. Why can't I die? This repeated until she started hyperventilating and spiraling I had to call medic staff to sedate her. They asked me to watch over her in the med bay since I was the one who found her like that. When she woke up she looked at me with as if she was about to stab me sighed and said thank you and don't tell Orga or Mika about this. She then told me that they were ambushed by another rival PMC. They were hit by an HE shell. When she came to everyone else was dead. The part that still freaks her out to this day was she was the one closest to the blast yet she was unscathed but dirty. That's the kind of burden she tries to carry alone, the fact that she very well might be unkillable in a litteral sense. I think that's the reason she's reckless and cares so little for her own life is because she's died once already what's doing it again to protect the ones she cares about." Said nadi explaining what he knew about Kagura.
"Why is she well y'know like that?" I asked
"I don't know and honestly neither does Kagura. She always said she rebounded from things like sickness and injury faster than others and that it's only gotten faster as she's gotten older. The best she can say is she was born this way, or as she likes to say built different." Said Nadi "well let's go greet the two hero's of the hour."
Kagura -pov-
"Good job Mika!" I said giving my stubborn little bro a hug.
"Mhm, you okay big sis? You were screaming a lot." Said Mika
I paused, not because of Mika's question though, but because I suddenly heard the laughter again but this time with a voice.
"Ohh you did so well, Keheheheh, I think me and you will be the best of friends. Your hatred and madness truly delicious" it said I knew only I was hearing the voice considering no one else reacted.
"I'm fine Mika just… tired. yeah that's it tired." I said starting to walk towards Orga I still hadn't put my coat and tank top back on, so I was wearing my modified sports bra.
"Yo, Orga." I said with the best smile I could muster right now.
"So this was what you've been hiding, huh? Looks a lot like the Barbatos." Said Orga giving a look.
"That's because she is I said producing a flash drive from my pocket she's the last made of the Gundam frames apparently there is only 72 of them each one unique and kitted out different all the info I know is on this flash drive give it to old man Nadi. found her in an abandoned hidden lab in the desert. Oh, and you should probably do whatever your planning tonight once the adult come back. dumbass has already run away." I said heading to the barracks after tossing him the flash drive.
"Kagura! You can confide in us just remember that." Orga shouted towards me i just waved in acknowledgment and kept walking
Sometime later in the barracks.
"So what are you and why are you in my head" I said out loud
"My Darling partner you don't need to talk out loud. I'm in your head I can read your thoughts." it said
'Great no privacy anymore' I thought annoyed
"Oh come now it's not so bad it's not like can interfere with your life outside my body." It said now that I think about it the voice sounded Feminine kinda.
'Wait, body are you Paimon?' I though surprised
"Ding ding ding correct too bad no prize, Keheheheh" said Paimon
'Okaaaayyy this was not in the data I found on you' I thought confused
"Of course it wouldn't those fools had no idea what they made. I'm the most advanced AI they have ever created and the only one of the 72 gundam frames to posses the ARS system. As soon as the ARS system was activated my pseudo consciousness was imprinted on your alaya vijana node in your brain." Said Paimon
'So I'm stuck with you now' I thought not happy about it
"Pretty much although I am surprised you can even pilot me most who attempted either had their minds shatter or die horribly, but you didn't. in fact I'm pretty sure I felt your body fighting back and healing the damage I was doing as I was doing it. It's fascinating" said Paimon
"Out of all 72 I'm the only one advanced enough to truly converse with my pilot should I want to. The others while pseudo sentient more respond and converse through intent. Barbatos is a particularly mean one but it seems your little brother might be able to wield that rampaging wolf king. You better hope he doesn't push past Barbatos's limiter. Although while he would win the fight he would lose something in return a deal with devil and all that."
'What do mean by deal with the devil?' I questioned
"Oh, right I forgot although you are smarter than the others your still uneducated. Well it's not too important I'll explain later your tired get some rest." Said Paimon
Paimon went silent and I just shrugged and went to sleep. When I woke up I noticed every one else wasn't there which confused me. I went outside after washing up and getting dressed and noticed something.
"Crap it's noon! I shouted panicking
"Oh calm down, you probably didn't miss anything and you were tired. afterall it was your first time." said Paimon
'Did… you just make an innuendo?' I said flabbergasted
"Yep, oh look theirs Orga and Mika ." Said Paimon clearly trying to change the subject.
However she was correct Orga and Mika were walking towards me.
"Yo, Kagura you overslept and missed the coup." Said Orga in a casual tone
"Ahhhhh man please tell me you atleast shot Hitlerstache in the face for me." I said whining
"I stand corrected you did miss something." Said Paimon
"Quiet you!" I said out loud confusing both Orga and Mika followed by a worried look from Orga.
"No we did not kill Todo." said Orga
"Welp if you want something done right you gotta do it yourself. Afterall that man is a weasel and will betray us at the first opportunity." I said with a tone that said I would not take no for an answer.
"Kagura can you atleast wait? He might be useful later." Said Orga
"No. I still haven't forgiven him for trying to assault me all those years ago. That fucking pedo." I said
There was an awkward silence between us.
"*Sigh* so what are we called now? We can't be CGS any,ore afterall." I asked trying to change the subject. Thankfully Orga agreed to.
"Tekkadan that's our new name. Our new beginning." Said Orga with a smile.
Authors note: wooo chapter 5 is done this one was a little longer than usual. Yeah Paimon can talk and is sentient Kagura is not happy about that. Paimon will probably give a calamity war lore dump at somepoint. She was never deployed, but she had access to the databases during her development so she knows about the other 72 and what the calamity war was and their name sakes. No Kagura is not going to keep Paimon secret or anything to her there is no point and plus she'd rather everyone know shes not talking to herself or voices in her head although technically that is exactly what Paimon is.
