Chapter 128 - Chapter 128: Return to the Base

Dan suddenly appeared in the large and luxurious hall where his wives and children usually gathered for their daily family time.

He found Rin, along with his twelve other wives, and some of his grown sons and daughters, sitting together and talking while drinking tea.

The atmosphere was calm and warm, with light laughter here and there.

The moment he appeared so suddenly, everyone turned to look at him.

There was clear surprise in their eyes.

Because unlike his usual habit, he normally informed them before coming.

But what was even more strange—what truly caught their attention—

Was the teenage girl standing silently beside him.

A stranger.

Someone they had never seen before.

And she looked… miserable.

Her clothes were torn and heavily stained with blood.

Her hair was messy and dirty.

Her face was pale and exhausted.

Her feet were bare and wounded.

Her eyes were red from crying.

Her body trembled slightly.

Who was she?

And why did Dan bring her here?

Many questions filled their eyes.

Rin looked at the girl carefully for a few moments, her gaze calm but sharp.

She saw her condition clearly.

Then she slowly walked toward Dan, her expression carrying quiet questioning.

Dan spoke in a calm voice:

"Can you take care of her?"

Rin still had many questions in her eyes, but she didn't ask any of them.

She understood that this wasn't the right moment.

She would learn everything later.

Dan then turned toward the girl standing silently beside him and looked at her directly.

"You can go with her," he said.

"She'll help you wash up, clean yourself, and change into clean and comfortable clothes."

But Yuko suddenly looked at him with clear hesitation.

It was as if she didn't want to leave him.

As if she was afraid of being away from him.

Her body grew more tense, and her hand tightened slightly.

Dan let out a deep internal sigh.

He understood.

Because of her psychological shock, she had become attached to him.

But this kind of attachment… was a problem that needed to be handled slowly.

Then he spoke again, this time more firm, clear, and decisive:

"This is a direct order. Go now."

His tone left no room for argument.

It was something that had to be obeyed.

Immediately, the girl lowered her head slightly toward him in a gesture of complete submission and obedience.

"Yes."

She obeyed without hesitation.

Then she walked slowly with Rin toward the door, still clearly reluctant.

Every few steps, she turned back to look at him.

Rin gently held her hand, trying to comfort her and help her relax a little.

Everyone in the hall—his wives, his children, even some of his grandchildren—watched this scene with visible curiosity and confusion.

Questions filled their faces.

Curious looks.

A waiting silence.

Then Dan turned toward them and walked to a large, comfortable chair that was usually reserved for him alone.

He sat down calmly.

Settled in place.

Then he began to explain everything in full detail.

He spoke about the attacked village.

About the orphan girl.

About the brutal massacre.

About his decision to intervene.

About the bloody revenge.

About her attempt to take her own life.

And finally, about his decision to bring her with him.

As they listened, the expressions of everyone present gradually became serious.

Some clear sympathy and compassion appeared on their faces.

They listened in silence to her painful story.

Then finally, after finishing the long explanation, Dan said:

"Alright. That's all I have for now. Take good care of her."

And then—he disappeared completely from his place.

Returning directly to his laboratory to continue his important research.

At the exact same time, in another place…

Inside a newly established military base near the newly discovered mine in the southern lands of the Land of the Blue Dragon…

Inside a large, well-equipped command tent…

Leon, Yuta, and Kai stood around a large table covered with maps and documents.

Yuta spoke in a clear and organized tone, giving his report:

"Big brother Kai, all military preparations have been completed successfully."

He paused for a moment, looking at the map, then continued:

"And regarding the incoming Uchiha attack… based on the current distance between us and them, which we have tracked accurately…"

He looked at his two brothers, then said clearly:

"It will begin tomorrow at dawn, most likely in the early morning hours."

Kai lowered his head slightly and held his chin in a familiar thinking gesture.

Then suddenly, Leon spoke in a clear voice, unable to hide his excitement:

"Finally! They're coming! They've made me wait for too long."

Kai slowly raised his head and looked at his older brother Leon, who was clearly full of anticipation.

He let out a quiet sigh, then spoke in a realistic and advising tone:

"You shouldn't raise your expectations too much, big brother Leon."

He paused, then continued clearly:

"There isn't a single person among them right now—neither in the Uchiha nor the Senju—who can truly make you fight seriously."

Leon replied with a wide, clear smile:

"I already know that."

He paused, then his smile grew wider as he continued:

"But I'm especially interested in two specific individuals among the Uchiha and the Senju."

He stopped for a moment, then added:

"And I'll use this perfect opportunity to sharpen them properly… to push them forward… until they reach a level where they can at least entertain me a little in a real fight."

Kai spoke again in the same realistic tone:

"Even if they actually reach the maximum potential that Father told us about…"

He paused, looked at him directly, then continued:

"They would still be far below your current level."

Leon replied:

"I know that too."

"But at least… they'll stir my heart a little and get my blood moving."

Kai sighed again and didn't continue the discussion.

He knew very well his older brother's nature.

A person who loved fighting.

There was no point in arguing further.

As for Yuta—

He smiled softly, a warm expression on his face as he looked at Leon with clear affection.

He was genuinely happy for him.

Because recently, like everyone else in the family, he had been worried about Leon.

Due to the clear frustration and deep boredom that had been affecting him…

Because there was no one strong enough to match him in a real and enjoyable fight.

So most of his brothers and sisters were truly glad that recently—

He had finally started to regain some of his old energy and usual excitement again.
