"I know there's nothing to be fixed between us, because that love that we once had has been destroyed beyond recognition," Miles said. His tears began to flow down from the corners of his eyes again. "But you should know that if I could turn back time, I'd never make the same mistake that I did. I... I regret everything, Claudia."
Miles turned his head towards Aurora, who was sitting in a wheelchair, and he choked on his own sobs.
"Little Angel, Daddy hopes that you won't hate me. Since I'll be in jail for fifteen years, maybe once I am free, time will heal you enough that you'd finally forgive me."
Then, he looked at Lara.
"Lara, your father has disappointed you. I know that you don't see me as a father, since I never showed my love to you."
Lara stared her father straight in the eyes and replied, "I don't have a Mom or a Dad, because I read in a book that a mom and a dad are supposed to protect me and love me. You and Clarissa never did that."
