(The room has changed. Charts on the wall. Chess diagrams. Opening trees. Endgame tables. Kenta's desk is covered in books and a laptop.)
Sui: (bringing tea) "Kenta-kun, you've been at this for hours."
Kenta: (not looking up) "State tournament is tomorrow."
Yui: (joining) "We know. We're nervous FOR you."
Kenta: "I'm not nervous."
Sui: (kissing his cheek) "Then drink your tea."
Yui: (kissing his other cheek) "And sleep."
Kenta: (touching his cheeks) "Two more."
Sui: (grinning) "Count them all!"
Yui: (also grinning) "You're at, like, 500 by now!"
Kenta: (almost smiling) "Maybe."
(He drinks his tea. Looks at the board on his screen.)
Kenta: (thinking) "State. Then nationals. Then worlds. One equation at a time."

[Scene: State Tournament - 3 Days Later]
(A large convention center. Dozens of boards. Kenta sits calmly.)
Sui: (in the crowd) "KENTA-KUN! YOU GOT THIS!"
Yui: (also yelling) "OUR CHAMPION!"
Takahashi Kenji: (somehow there) "LEGEND STATUS: ABOUT TO INCREASE!"
Round 1: Win (18 minutes)
Round 2: Win (22 minutes)
Quarterfinals: Win (31 minutes)
Semifinals: Win (45 minutes)
Finals: Kenta vs. the two-time state champion.
Opponent: (smirking) "You're the math kid, right? Chess isn't math."
Kenta: "Everything is math."
(They play. 62 minutes. Kenta wins.)
Sui & Yui: (exploding) "STATE CHAMPION!"
Professor Hayashi: (in the crowd, crying) "THAT'S MY STUDENT!"
(The trophy joins the collection. Six items now.)

(Kenta's routine intensifies. But he never neglects Sui and Yui. Or his studies.)
Sui: (watching him) "Kenta-kun, you're doing chess, school, AND spending time with us. How?"
Kenta: "Time is a resource. I allocate it efficiently."
Yui: (snuggling) "We're a resource?"
Kenta: "The most important one."
Sui & Yui: (melting) "KENTA-KUN!"
(They kiss his cheeks. Both sides. Simultaneously.)
Kenta: (ears red) "Two more."
Sui: (grinning) "You're going to need a new calculator just for kisses!"
Yui: (laughing) "Kiss counter 2.0!"

(The biggest venue yet. Cameras. Reporters. Players from across Japan.)
Sui: (nervous) "Kenta-kun... this is HUGE."
Yui: (also nervous) "The whole country is watching!"
Kenta: "Then I'll give them something to watch."
(He walks to the board. Calm. Focused.)

Round 3: Win
Quarterfinals: Win
Semifinals: Win
Finals: Kenta vs. the reigning national champion – a chess prodigy who's been playing since age 5.
Prodigy: (studying him) "You're the one who treats chess like math?"
Kenta: "It's the only way."
Prodigy: "Let's see if your equations hold."
(They play. Three hours. The longest game of Kenta's life.)
Sui: (whispering) "I can't breathe..."
Yui: (whispering) "Me neither..."
Professor Hayashi: (watching intently) "Come on, Kenta..."
(Kenta sacrifices his queen. The crowd gasps.)
Prodigy: (eyes widening) "You're sacrificing your QUEEN?!"
Kenta: "Calculated."
(The attack unfolds. Piece after piece. The prodigy defends. Sweats. Desperation.)
Kenta: (moving) "Check."
Prodigy: (blocking)
Kenta: "Check."
Prodigy: (blocking)
Kenta: "Checkmate."
(Silence. Then ROAR.)
Sui: (screaming) "NATIONAL CHAMPION!"
Yui: (also screaming) "KENTA-KUN!"
Professor Hayashi: (sobbing) "HE DID IT! HE'S GOING TO THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!"
(The trophy is massive. Gold. Beautiful. Kenta holds it up.)
Reporter: "Kenta Morik! How does it feel to be Japan's representative?!"
Kenta: (looking at Sui and Yui in the crowd) "It feels like I'm not alone."

[Scene: World Championship - 2 Months Later - Singapore]
(Kenta sits in a hotel room. Video call with Sui and Yui.)
Sui: (crying) "We wish we could be there!"
Yui: (also crying) "It's too expensive..."
Kenta: "I'll bring the trophy home. You can touch it then."
Sui: (laughing through tears) "Promise?"
Kenta: "Promise."
Professor Hayashi: (entering) "Kenta, it's time. First round pairings are out."
Kenta: (to the screen) "I have to go."
Sui & Yui: (in unison) "WIN FOR US!"
Kenta: (almost smiling) "Always."

(Players from 50 countries. Grandmasters. Prodigies. Legends.)
Kenta's Path:
Round 1: vs. India – Win
Round 2: vs. USA – Win
Round 3: vs. China – Win
Quarterfinals: vs. Russia – Win
Semifinals: vs. France – Win
Finals: Kenta vs. the reigning World Champion from Russia. A grandmaster. A legend. Undefeated for 5 years.
Russian Champion: (through translator) "You are young. Too young."
Kenta: "Age is a number. Chess is math."
Russian Champion: (laughing) "We will see."
(They play. The longest game of Kenta's life. Four hours. Five. Six.)
Back in Japan: Sui and Yui huddle around a laptop. Livestream. Holding hands. Crying. Praying.
Sui: "Come on, Kenta-kun..."
Yui: "You can do it..."
Professor Hayashi: (in Singapore, watching) (whispering) "This is it, Kenta. This is everything."
(The position is complex. Equal material. But Kenta sees something. A pattern. A flaw.)
Kenta: (thinking) "His king is exposed. If I sacrifice my rook here... then knight to f7... queen to h5..."
(He moves. Sacrifices his rook.)
Russian Champion: (eyes widening) "What?!"
(The crowd gasps. Commentators go wild.)
Commentator: "A ROOK SACRIFICE! IS THIS THE MOMENT?!"
(Kenta's attack unfolds. Perfect. Precise. Mathematical.)
Russian Champion: (sweating) (defending) (failing)
Kenta: (moving) "Check."
Russian Champion: (blocking)
Kenta: "Check."
Russian Champion: (blocking)
Kenta: "Checkmate."
(Silence. The entire arena holds its breath.)
Russian Champion: (staring at the board) (long pause) (extends his hand) "You... you are the champion."
(The arena EXPLODES.)
Commentator: "KENTA MORIK FROM JAPAN IS THE NEW WORLD CHAMPION! AT 16 YEARS OLD! THE YOUNGEST IN HISTORY!"
Back in Japan: Sui and Yui are screaming. Crying. Jumping. Hugging.
Sui: "HE DID IT! HE DID IT!"
Yui: "WORLD CHAMPION! OUR KENTA-KUN!"
Takahashi Kenji: (bursting into their room somehow) "I FELT IT IN MY SOUL!"
Professor Hayashi: (on screen, crying, hugging Kenta) "MY STUDENT! MY STUDENT IS WORLD CHAMPION!"

[Scene: Award Ceremony]
(Kenta stands on the highest podium. Gold medal around his neck. The world championship trophy in his hands. The Japanese flag raised. National anthem playing.)
Kenta: (thinking) "Father... are you watching? I did it. For you. For them."
(He looks at the camera. Knows Sui and Yui are watching.)
Kenta: (mouths silently) "I love you."
Back in Japan: Sui and Yui see it. Collapse into each other. Sobbing. Happy.
Sui: "He said it..."
Yui: "To us... on world television..."

[Scene: Kenta's Room - 1 Week Later - Homecoming]
(The room is packed. Sui. Yui. Professor Hayashi. Takahashi. Teachers. Friends. All cheering.)
Sui: (tackling him) "KENTA-KUN!"
Yui: (also tackling) "WELCOME HOME!"
(Kenta stumbles. Hugs them both.)
Professor Hayashi: (crying, as always) "World champion. WORLD CHAMPION."
Kenta: (handing him the trophy) "This is for you too, sensei."
Professor Hayashi: (bawling) "I CAN'T—THIS IS TOO MUCH—"
(He hugs Kenta. Everyone laughs. Cheers.)
Takahashi Kenji: (taking photos) "LEGENDARY MOMENT! CAPTURED!"

[Scene: Kenta's Desk - Night]
(Seven items now.)
· Father's astrolabe
· Competition trophy
· Professor's medal
· Olympiad gold
· District chess trophy
· National chess trophy
· WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY
Kenta: (looking at them) "Seven."
(He adds one more. A photo. Sui and Yui at the airport, holding a banner: "WELCOME HOME, WORLD CHAMPION!")
Kenta: "Eight. Perfect."
(His phone buzzes. Two messages.)
Sui: "Kenta-kun... world champion. Our world champion. We're so proud. Sleep well, our king. "
Yui: "My prince~ you conquered the world. But you'll always be our Kenta-kun first. Goodnight, champion."
Kenta: (smiling) (typing back to both): "Goodnight. Thank you for everything. For being there. For waiting. For loving me. I couldn't have done any of it without you."
(Immediate replies:)
Sui: "HE SAID WE HELPED HIM WIN THE WORLD! "
Yui: "WE'RE HIS INSPIRATION! GLOBAL LEVEL PROGRESS! "
Sui: "SWEET DREAMS OUR WORLD CHAMPION!"
Yui: "DREAM OF US! (AND YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE!) "
Kenta: (putting down the phone) (looking at the eight treasures)
Kenta: (thinking) "Father. Professor. Sui. Yui. All of you. Every victory is yours too."
(He joins them in bed. Three together.)
Sui: (drowsy) "Kenta-kun... what's next?"
Yui: (also drowsy) "You've done everything..."
Kenta: (quietly) "Next? I live. With you. Love you. Solve problems. Watch stars."
Sui: (smiling) "That's enough?"
Kenta: "That's everything."
(They fall asleep. Three together. World champion and his two loves.)
Kenta: (thinking, last thought) "This is the greatest equation I've ever solved. Not chess. Not math. This. Us. Together."
(He closes his eyes. Happy. Complete. Loved.)
