"Good to meet you too." Lily replied before turning to Mr. Tim, "Thank you very much for bringing him up here."
"My pleasure Miss." Tim answered but he did not turn around to leave.
Jensen turned towards him and just chuckled as he observed Mr. Tim's body posture.
He had remained vigilant throughout the elevator ride, his hand on his gun.
He always made sure to keep his distance from Jensen and even now he made sure to stay several steps behind him.
Jensen simply chuckled, "Relax Mr. Tim… I have no plans to do anything to your boss."
Even after what Jensen said, Mr. Tim simply ignored him his hands still on his guns.
"Pleaaase… if I wanted to kill you or her there is nothing you can do about it." Jensen suddenly turned serious.
Mr. Tim immediately unholstered his gun and pointed it at Jensen's head.
Normally even a Gamma Rank awakened could still be killed from a gunshot especially at this close range.
This was typically true especially for mind path, elemental path even creation path awakened.
But Jensen decided to prove it, he could tell that Lily hadn't stepped in because she was not sure.
His fingers elongated into claws; he dug his claws into his palm and tore it open.
He stretched his hands into Lily's and Mr. Tim's view and watched their face change in horror as his ripped skin stitched themselves together almost like time was reversed around the wound.
"Thank you very much Mr. Tim you may leave." Lily finally broke the silence.
Mr. Tim nodded as he withdrew his weapon and walked back towards the elevator.
Lily and Jensen watched him, press the button and leave.
"What did you give that man for him to be so loyal to you?" Jensen asked as he watched the elevator leave.
Lily ignored his question, "I wish we had met on better circumstances."
"Indeed… I wish the same." Jensen replied as he also decided to brush over it.
"Perhaps we could reschedule this till tomorrow." Lily asked trying to gauge Jensen's reaction.
"No, it is important we have the conversation now."
Lily nodded before leading Jensen into her apartment. She served him a drink and did the same for herself.
They both drank their wine slowly in silence.
Finally, Lily broke the silence, "You mentioned you had a deal for me."
Jensen nodded before putting his glass back on the table, "Yes, I heard about your issues with your uncle and I can help you… of course for a price."
Lily nodded, she did not expect him to help her for free, "What is the price for your help?"
"Your loyalty… there is no way around it." Jensen said.
Lily frowned, "I don't understand."
She had been expecting either a marriage alliance or an alliance of any kind or maybe even owing a favour.
"I will get you what you want, and you work for me." Jensen explained further.
"I am sorry for taking your time, Mr. Morvath I will have to say no." Lily immediately rejected his offer.
The thing about marriage alliance or any alliance for that matter is that both sides benefit from it.
As for owing a few favours, that would be fine as well as long as whatever favour, she was doing would not be detrimental to her.
The same could not be said with working for him, his benefit came first not matter if it was detrimental to her or not.
Although she wanted control over the company, she wasn't stupid enough to destroy everything her father had worked for just for that.
"This is why I want you to work for me," Jensen smiled at her refusal, "But you haven't had my proposition yet."
Lily paused for a moment before nodding, "Please go ahead Mr. Morvath."
"You transfer your family assets to the Morvath…" Lily immediately began shaking her head, but Jensen raised his hands to stop her, "And you manage the family finances… I haven't actually decided a title for you yet."
Lily calmed down a bit, she knew there were benefits to working in an Awakened family especially during their early days even if they eventually fall but…
"Is there any guarantee I wouldn't just get kicked out once you have what you want?"
"Simple, there isn't, if someone better than you come along and does better than you do, I will demote you." Jensen did not bother lying to her.
"However, to even the playing field, I will be giving you this." Jensen stretched his hands forward, the crest on his hands glowed for a bit and a drop of blood appeared in front of him.
Lily's eyes widened as she stared at the blood in front of her although she was Unawakened, she could still feel the pressure the blood exerted on her.
She slowly tore her eyes of the blood and stared at Jensen in shock, she wanted to ask questions, but she knew better.
"Yes, it is compressed blood essence, and it can force your awakening." Jensen answered her question before she asked.
"I will not tell you anything more about the blood essence until you accept it or…" He did not need to continue for her to understand what he was insinuating.
After seeing the blood essence, if she rejected him, he would kill her to protect the information, she too would do the same.
She could tell that the only reason he even showed her was because she was already considering his proposal the moment, she asked the question on the guarantee.
"Yes, I accept." Lily bowed.
Jensen smiled and nodded, "Prepare for pain."
The blood essence in his hand shot forward and penetrated Lily's forehead.
Lily immediately blacked out from the pain, she fell off her chair and landed on the ground with a dull thud.
Jensen ignored her completely, according to Xal'Zyraeth except for the Royal and Progenitor bloodline the rest didn't have to be conscious.
To pass time he stood up and began moving around her home casually inspecting it, according to what he heard you can tell a lot about a person by how they live.
