"Where are we?" Nathan asked as Mark pulled over at the side of the street. On both sides were apartment buildings.
"One of our safe houses," Mark said as he crossed the road. Nathan waited for a car to pass before crossing.
When he got there, Mark had already opened the main door. They entered to see a well furnitured apartment.
"Let's lay low here, as we figure out what we should do," Mark suggested.
"Do you think Clayton made it out?" Nathan asked.
"I don't know," Mark stuttered "You should take the bed."
Mark helped Nathan up. He fell into the couch and closed his eyes. Nathan stared at him for a while and walked away.
"Can you turn off the light, thank you" Mark said and Nathan did as he was told. He entered the room and closed the door.
The moment he did he heard sniffles. He placed his ear against the door and heard Mark crying.
He grabbed the doorknob but shook his head and got into bed. Nathan suddenly rolled out of bed.
He picked up his phone.

He walked out to see no one on the couch. Mark walked out of the kitchen with a plate of fried eggs, sausage, and two slices of toasted bread.
He placed it on the table.
"I think we should meet with the other cells. We can regroup and take the fight to them," Mark suggested.
"I don't think the demons will still be at the house," Nathan said as he ate.
"If they are not there will just hunt them and make them pay," Mark said and went to the kitchen and came out with a cup of coffee.
"Fine, which cell should we ask for help?" Nathan asked.
"I think we should ask the Marleys," Mark answered.
"Fine," Nathan took a sip of his coffee.
After breakfast the got ready and set out to the Marleys'. Less than an hour drive from their original location, they got there.
A brown and white semi-detached house. At the driveway was their vehicle. As they walked to the front door, Nathan saw a red stain on the curtain.
When they got to the front door it was open. Mark took his pistol which was tucked into his pants. He pointed his gun as he slowly walked in. Nathan did the same and followed him.
Immediately they entered they saw a pool of blood in the living room. Before they could go any further, the stench of death welcomed them.
In the corridor leading to the bedroom, the Marleys were left in a pile. They had been ripped into pieces and gathered in a heap.
Nathan vomited at the sight of the pile of flesh.
"He got to them," Mark said and grabbed Nathan as they hurried out of there.
