Silas and Amelia lay sprawled on the floor, their chests rising and falling in quick beats.
They looked at Sebastian, who glanced back with a calm smile.
"Monster," Amelia whispered to Silas.
Sebastian heard but did not react. He was expecting such a reaction; after all, his training methods were extreme.
"We will meet later at 4 pm for your cultivation switch," Sebastian said, leaving the training ground.
Slowly, Silas stood up from the floor, glancing at Amelia before walking out.
"I am going already," he waved.
Amelia was too tired to even reply; she only tapped the floor with her hand as a response.
Silas reached his room quickly, taking a quick shower and changing his clothes.
"Rion, send me to the virtual server."
He flickered, his form disappearing from the room.
He appeared outside the Orion Research Institute.
"Rion, where is the new store?" he asked, leaving the research area.
"It is in the central square, left wing, in the commercial district, third block, first building."
Silas nodded.
He walked through the quiet streets of the research area, then arrived at the central square, the main plaza of the Orion Sector and the most bustling place in the entire server.
'I wish I could have gotten a piece of land here,' he said to Rion mentally.
"You could have, Master Silas," Rion said. "Just that the same piece you bought would have cost about five hundred thousand credits."
Silas smiled wryly.
'Please, let the poor breathe.'
"It is indeed close to the research institute," Silas muttered, seeing that he reached the left wing in less than five minutes.
He soon arrived at the empty piece of land that was sandwiched between two shops.
One of the shops traded raw resources, while the other sold accessories.
Silas did not spare them too many glances before he looked at Rion's interface flashing in his sight.
"So these are the buildings and their prices, huh?" he said to Rion.
He glanced at the several buildings he could deploy on his land and their prices.
In the virtual world, buildings were bought and deployed instantly, like a game.
"I think this one is good for me," Silas clicked on one of the buildings, a two-storey building.
"I can display creations downstairs and other things upstairs."
[Confirm your selection.]
Silas clicked yes again.
The empty space in front of him shifted. A building with a wooden appearance and a regal, imposing structure appeared.
Silas entered calmly, not bothering to wait outside any longer.
"A new neighbor," the owner of the accessory shop said, walking out of her shop to inspect the building.
The other shop did not even give the building a second glance.
Inside, Silas was able to see the entire store.
There was a reception desk resting against the wall, just a few feet away from the entrance.
The desk was made from bronze-colored wood.
Then came the structures set in place.
From dedicated shelves put up for items, to showrooms for special items, to the beautiful lights that hung from the ceiling, pouring down light with an aurora hue.
"This is amazing," Silas's eyes gleamed as he took in the image of the main store.
"Let me check upstairs now."
He walked up the stairs, entering what looked like the administrative office of the store.
The place was huge, the same size as the store below, but with fewer structures and more beauty.
The floor beneath was actually glass, allowing the person here to see those below with perfect clarity.
The desk was positioned to rest against the wall. It was a long desk whose length was at least a few meters.
Then came the other decorations, the walls with their beautifully carved architecture.
In one sentence, the entire place was grandly designed.
"I really do not regret spending 30,000 credits purchasing this building."
Silas suddenly ran towards the chair, jumping into it like a child.
Resting his back against it, he began to rotate, although slowly.
"Rion, let's register my business name."
"What is the name of your company?" Rion asked.
"I really don't know yet, I couldn't think of anything overnight," Silas sighed as he remembered this.
"Just use Sovereign Garden as a placeholder," he said to Rion.
"What does your business specialize in? Choose all that apply."
A list appeared in his sight, showing all the things he could choose.
[Mercenaries
Weapons
Raw Resources
Intelligence
Equipment
…]
The list went on for as long as Silas could see.
"Are the businesses in the human empire really so numerous?" he wondered, stroking his chin.
"Do you confirm your selection?" Rion asked again.
"Yes," Silas nodded.
He had chosen what he felt was right, and things he felt he could dive into in the future.
[Weapons, Raw Resources, Equipment, Intelligence, Entertainment, Space Vessels, Cultivation Techniques]
He chose just those. He was not scared of getting locked out of the system if he tried to introduce anything else.
He could simply add another one in the future for a certain amount of credits.
"Your company has been registered as a low-level one."
Silas nodded, seeing the name Sovereign Garden appear on every blank slate in the store.
"You have created a manual previously, do you wish to add it to your store?" Rion asked again.
"Won't it be harder to sell without the commercialization of the Sector?" he asked Rion.
Although he wanted his company to grow, that was a long-term goal.
The manual was one of his only ways of making money. He could not just rip it off like that.
"You can mark it as your company's, but still give the rights to the sector. It will also boost your popularity among buyers."
"That is possible?" Silas asked with a slightly elated tone.
"Yes."
"Then do it," he commanded Rion.
After a few minutes, Rion beeped, notifying Silas that the job was complete.
"Now, all that's left is to advertise my rifle. And I know the right place for that."
Silas navigated through his virtual tab, selecting a new mode in the Orion Sector.
It was the combat mode.
