Yesir sat in his seat, his mind restless, thoughts circling the same question again and again.
Should I call Nazya And tell her everything about Erhaan?
His fingers tabbed lightly against the desk as he started ahead, unfocused.
Maybe I should wait... what if he deletes the photo?
A quiet sigh left his lips as he leaned back slightly, still unsure.
"Hey, Yesir. You're early today."
Leera's voice pulled him out of his thoughts.
He looked up and forced a small smile, "Yeah... woke up early."
Leera smiled back and took her seat beside him, unaware of the tension running through his mind.
A few moments later, Erhaan walked into the classroom, his steps were calm, controlled, as always. He moved straight to his seat.
Huru was already there, "Good morning, Erhaan," she said with a soft smile.
"Good morning," he replied, his tone neutral as he sat down.
Not long after, Doruk entered as well.
Huru's gaze shifted to Doruk. Charm on her face, then she look down to her desk.
"Hey," he greeted casually.
Leera and Yesir responded with a small smiles.
Everything looked normal. Doruk's eyes instinctively moved toward Nayza's seat.
Empty.
He frowned slightly, his gaze lingering there for a moment longer than usual.
Across the room, Erhaan's attention wasn't on anything else.
He was waiting.
Waiting for Nayza to walk in. Waiting for the right moment, so he could send the photo.
Time passed, the class was about to begin. Still, no sign of her. As the lecture started, Leera quietly picked up her phone. The Faint sound of typing filled the silence around her.
Where are you? Are you not coming university today?
She hit send, no reply, not even seen.
Yesir leaned slightly toward her, "Is Nayza not coming?"
Leera shook her head, a hint of worry appearing on her face, "I don't know... we talked last night. She said she would come. And if she wasn't, she would've told me."
Her fingers tightened slightly around her phone.
"But she hasn't replied, hasn't even seen my messages."
"Try calling her," Yesir suggest quietly.
Leera nodded. "I will... after class."
A few minutes later, she turned back and looked at Doruk.
"Do you know where Nayza is? Did she tell anything?"
Doruk shook his head.
"No... nothing like that."
Leera nodded slowly, "Okay..."
Doruk glanced at his phone.
For a second, he thought about calling her.
His thumb hovered over the screen, then he pulled his hand back.
It will be weird...
On the other side, Erhaan's expression had changed slightly.
Why isn't she here?
A thought crossed his mind.
Is it because of me?
For the first time, uncertainty flickered through him.
The class finally ended, wothout wasting a second, Leera picked up her phone and called Nayza.
The ringing felt louder than usual longer. Then, The call connected.
"Where are you?" Leera spoke quickly. "Why didn't you come to university?"
But the voice on the other end. Wasn't Nayza's.
"Ma'am... the owner of this phone is currently in ICU.
Leera froze. Her grip on the phone tightened instantly. "I-ICU? What happened to her?"
"There's been a car accident," the girl replied gently.
"Her phone is locked, so we couldn't contact anyone. It's good that you called."
Leera's heart dropped. "Which hospital?" She asked quickly.
After getting the details, she ended tha call. For a moment, she couldn't move. Then suddenly, she stood up, grabing her bag in hurry.
Yesir looked at her. "What happened? Where are you going?"
Leera's voice trembled slightly, "Nayza... she had an accident. I have to go."
"I'm coming too." Yesir said immediately.
Doruk stood up without hesitation, "Me too. Which hospital?"
Leera told them. And without wasting another second, The three of them rushed rushed out from the classroom.
On the other side, Erhaan had heard everything. Every word. For a moment he didn't move.
His expression blank. Almost like he couldn't process it. Huru looked at him, confused.
"What happened, Erhaan?"
No response. He suddenly stood up, grabbing his bag, and walked out quickly. He got into his car and started driving toward the hospital.
Meanwhile, Leera and Yesir drove together. Doruk followed in his own car. All three reached the hospital in a rush. They asked for Nayza's at the reception and were directed toward the ICU.
Now, they stood outside. Waiting, silence surrounded them. Heavy. Uncomfortable.
Leera's eyes were filled with worry.
Doruk and Yesir stood beside her, equally tense.
