"Tenjoin, this contest is completely illegal and many of the outfits you plan to use violate the dress code" Yui said, positioning herself between the two girls and the stage like an impenetrable wall.
"Kotegawa, school hours are already over, so you have no authority here" Saki replied, recognizing her as a member of the public morals committee.
"It is still school territory, so it is illeg..."
Before she could finish, a document appeared in front of her face.
"What is this?" Yui asked, but the more she read, the more surprised she became.
"As you can see, I rented the entire grounds for one day, O Ho Ho!."
Yui clenched her fists in anger, but in the end she could only resign herself.
"Phew, the power of money" Saruyama whistled from the side, impressed.
"Of course, if I want to do something no one can sto... what is it?"
Saki stopped her speech when one of her assistants placed a cellphone next to her ear with the utmost respect. If they had done that without warning her beforehand, it could only mean it was something important.
And there were only two people more important than her to a Tenjoin servant.
"Mom?" Saki answered as she picked up.
"What?! But she started it! What?! I do not care about the money, you can take it away! What?! My beauty products?! Do not touch that! Ah... fine, I will do it."
When she hung up, everyone looked at her in surprise because they had never seen the school diva back down, and they were confused about the reason.
Ignoring the others' stares, Saki approached Lala.
"The contest is canceled."
"Eh? Why?" Lala asked, confused.
"I do not know, Mom called and said the Yuuji interfered" Saki replied, not fully understanding what had happened.
"Yuuji? Yuuji Rito?" Lala asked.
"Maybe, I do not know" Saki said, still irritated, having no idea with whom exactly.
"But why would Yuuji want to cancel this contest?"
"She said he does not want you using your body to attract boys, that you should respect yourself and all those things adults like to say" Saki replied in the same annoyed tone.
"But..." Lala looked toward Rito, disappointed. "I wanted to see who they would choose in the end."
"You" Saki replied with more resentment.
"Me?" Lala repeated.
"Yes. In his own words: 'No one can vote except me, and I choose Lala as the most beautiful'. So you won" Saki declared, growing angrier by the second.
Without waiting for a response, she left the place, ignoring everyone while muttering to herself.
In less than a minute, several people in uniforms entered in an orderly manner and began clearing out the students and dismantling the stage.
"So... are we leaving?" Rito finally reacted.
"I suppose" Yui said. "Let us go... Lala?"
Yui approached Lala, who was still standing in the same spot, and touched her shoulder to get her attention.
"Are you okay?"
When she turned her around, Lala flinched as if she had been focused on something else.
"Ah, yes... let us go."
"This cannot be, I wanted to see the girls in bikinis" Saruyama complained dramatically before following the group.
...
[Host, are you sure this is alright?]
"Of course, I trust my parents" Yuuji replied calmly.
[And what about the chaos?]
"I did not say I would avoid the problem, I just solved it in the fastest way."
[System of Chaos Motto #4: sometimes the answers that seem the simplest end up being the most chaotic.]
"Wasn't your motto: The more chaos, the better?"
[That is motto #1, this is #4.]
"You must have too many mottos" Yuuji joked as he stood up. "Alright, done."
[Already?]
"I found a place to open the company, what else do you want?"
[...Never mind]
Having left the system without a response, Yuuji quickly did some high school homework, checked his phone, watched some television, and finally went to sleep.
"High school really is tough, it does not leave you time for anything." He sighed before closing his eyes.
...
"Alright, today is the last day before the weekend, let us try to make sure everything goes normally."
[System Motto #7, everything that can go wrong will go even worse.]
"Is that not Murphy's Law?"
[We invented it first.]
"Sure." Yuuji nodded without really believing it.
[Leaving that aside, host, do you not want to use your bronze tickets?]
"It is not necessary, if I am not mistaken I will obtain more soon."
"Yuuji Rito!"
"As expected" Yuuji murmured, raising his head toward the blonde girl and her two companions.
"Is something wrong?" he asked, looking at Saki.
"Of course something is wrong! How dare you cancel my popularity contest in front of everyone?"
"That is not right, Saki Tenjoin."
"Eh? W-why are you using my full name?..." Saki murmured as she noticed Yuuji's expression turning serious.
"Rather, how dare you not invite me? Of course I canceled it."
"You did it just because you could not watch it?" Saki said indignantly.
"That is right, any problem? I am rich after all. If I want to do something, no one can stop me" Yuuji replied shamelessly.
"But everyone at school could go watch," Saki fell silent upon encountering someone even more shameless than herself. "Whatever, but do not think I will forget this, Yuuji Rito."
Without another word she turned to leave, but before taking a step Yuuji stopped her.
"Wait."
Saki froze immediately at the sudden command that somehow sounded like a threat.
"I am Yuuji Rito, a pleasure to meet you," he said now with a polite smile, not to Saki but to her two companions.
"Rin Kujo."
"Aya Fujisaki."
The two companions replied, somewhat surprised that he had spoken to them.
After that, Yuuji returned to his seat and the three girls left.
"See? I got two more tickets."
[Is it alright to treat her like that?]
"It is fine. She is an unreasonable person, so the only option is to be even more unreasonable than her to convince her. In any case, I do not think I will interact much with her."
[Do you even think you will interact much with anyone?]
"I truly hope not" Yuuji sighed.
"Yuuji Rito!"
"What?" Yuuji replied, somewhat annoyed by the tone he was called with.
"Um... well..." Saruyama noticed his expression and shrank slightly behind Rito. "Rito wants to tell you something, right?"
"Eh? Me?" Rito, who was standing beside him, was surprised, having no idea what he was talking about.
"You know, about yesterday," Saruyama whispered, but seeing that Rito still had the same confused look, he decided to speak himself. "Rito says you should not flirt with his girl."
He said it bravely, although Yuuji's expression made him step back.
However, Yuuji's expression was not anger, but confusion.
"What are you talking about?"
"You canceled the contest saying that only you can see Lala's body" Saruyama explained.
Assuming it was just another exaggeration from him, Yuuji turned his gaze toward Yui, who was also there talking with Lala.
"It is true..." Yui confirmed.
After Yui explained what had happened, Yuuji finally understood the situation.
"Rito."
"Me?"
"Yes, you" Yuuji replied, somewhat irritated by Rito's lack of emotional intelligence. "Sorry, it was probably my mother who misunderstood something. I promise I have no intentions toward someone else's fiancée."
"Ah... it is fine, I did not think anything strange. Besides, Lala does not belong to me or anything like that."
'Good, I just saved myself half a manga of misunderstandings' Yuuji congratulated himself internally.
"So, you do not like me?" Lala suddenly intervened as she returned to her seat.
"I like you, you are fun, but I do not have any romantic intentions toward you, like I said before" Yuuji replied honestly.
"It is fine. You should know I have thousands of suitors across the galaxy, but only a few friends" Lala laughed naturally.
Yuuji smiled as well.
"Speaking of that, my dear friend, what about my AI?"
"I am working on it. Since it is for you, I have been trying to make sure it has no errors."
"Good, then you think it will be ready for..."
"Satalin, Yuuji, silence in class!"
The male voice interrupted the conversation.
Yuuji looked up and once again found himself facing the same bald head from the last two days.
He looked around and noticed that everyone was already sitting in silence, watching them with obvious annoyance.
"Sorry."
"Sorry."
They both apologized.
'Thirteen subjects and I get this teacher three days in a row...'
[Host, shall I remind you of your schedule?]
'Shut up'
[In that case, you have five bronze tickets, would you like...]
'It is not necessary, we will do it after class.'
Yuuji interrupted, turning his attention to the front, something that only lasted a few minutes before he rested his head back on his arms.
...
"It seems there are no incidents today" Yuuji commented while washing his hands in the bathroom.
At that moment they were in biology class using the laboratory.
Aside from Lala chasing Rito with the intention of dissecting him to learn more about him while the whole class laughed and the teacher pretended not to see anything, nothing particularly strange had happened.
But to Yuuji's surprise, when he left the bathroom he found Lala holding a different robot dog than yesterday's.
"Yuuji, have you seen Rito?" she asked when she saw him.
"No. Did something happen to him?"
"He left a while ago, maybe he does not like being dissected?" she said while pulling out a scalpel and making cutting gestures.
"Lala, humans die when you open their chest" Yuuji replied naturally.
Lala smiled at his words.
"Pfft! of course I know that, it was a joke. Was it not funny?"
"Very funny" he replied immediately. Between dissecting frogs or watching Rito run for his life, the second option was clearly more entertaining.
"I knew Yuuji would understand," Lala said, satisfied. "Then I will keep looking, bye bye."
"Bye."
Yuuji also said goodbye to Lala and her strange pets and walked toward the laboratory.
But when he arrived, an idea crossed his mind and he stopped before going in.
