"System, do minor villains count as named characters?"
To Love Ru was the last anime Yuuji watched before dying, so even though he does not remember every detail, he still has a fairly clear grasp of the general plot line.
That is why he knows that at this moment an alien who wants to marry Lala should appear, disguised as the principal, and that he must have already kidnapped Haruna. The reason Rito disappeared is precisely because he went to rescue her.
The important thing is that the alien who appeared for five minutes before Lala teleported him who knows where with one of her inventions had a name.
'If that is the case, should he not count for the mission of interacting with named characters?'
[They count, however their potential is lower.]
"What is the need to speak in such a complicated way? Why not explain from the beginning what you mean?" Yuuji complained.
[...]
[Important characters have greater potential. For example, Lala is the most relevant female character, if you were to marry her, even if it is not an impressive feat, thanks to her potential you would still earn at least one Diamond ticket. On the other hand, characters with little potential are the opposite, even if you do exactly the same thing, the maximum they could give you is a Gold ticket.]
"So important characters give good tickets and minor characters give trash tickets," Yuuji summarized.
[Even so, the minimum rank is still Bronze.]
"Then let us stop wasting time and go get more tickets" Yuuji said as he quickly changed direction.
In the gym storage room, Haruna was suspended in the air, trapped by several elongated green limbs similar to vines, while Lala and Rito stood in front of her.
"Princess Lala, you will marry me and abandon that human... or I will kill her" the alien said, revealing his purpose.
At this moment the alien had already abandoned the principal's appearance and adopted a form similar to a comic book Martian, which made him far more intimidating than before.
"I am sorry, I do not want to" Lala replied without taking the threat seriously, while pulling a strange gun from her D-Dial and aiming it at the alien.
But Rito stopped her, not wanting the alien to hurt Haruna out of desperation.
"Lala, let me handle him. You take Haruna."
Lala understood his intention to protect her and nodded, quickly taking Haruna and separating her from the strange vines.
The alien ignored her and instead advanced intimidatingly toward Rito, his body growing in the process, reaching at least three meters tall with a body full of muscles.
Rito swallowed nervously at the sight and wanted to step back, but remembering that Haruna and Lala were behind him, he gathered his courage and stepped forward.
"I am sorry, I am sorry, do not kill me."
But to Rito's surprise, the moment he made a gesture to punch him in a desperate attack, even though he did not believe it would work, the alien immediately surrendered.
He knelt down and begged for mercy while his body changed again, turning into a small green creature with a large head and a weak appearance.
"What is happening?" Rito asked, confused.
"They are shapeshifters. No matter how much they transform, they are still extremely weak, so they use intimidation to defeat their enemies. When they realize they are not feared, they give up right away," Lala explained naturally, then smiled. "Congratulations, Rito, you overcame your fear and that is why you won."
"I did? Yes... I defeated my fear" Rito nodded, half convinced.
Suddenly, appearing out of nowhere, another alien almost identical to the previous one showed up, although with more marked feminine features.
"You damn coward! How dare you abandon your children and chase another woman?" the female shouted before starting to hit him without caring about anything.
"What is happening? What do we do now?" Rito asked, watching the scene.
"I will handle it" Lala said as she pulled out the weapon again and aimed at both aliens.
"Wait!"
Yuuji's sudden voice behind her made Lala stop and turn in his direction.
"Yuuji? What are you doing here?" Rito asked.
"Lala told me the situation. I was worried, so I followed her" Yuuji replied with the first excuse that came to mind.
"You were worried about me? Do not worry, with my inventions I am invincible" Lala said proudly.
"That is true, it seems it was unnecessary," Yuuji acted as if disappointed before looking at the aliens on the ground arguing and fighting with their shrill voices.
"Hey, ugly aliens."
Yuuji called out, making both of them turn at the same time.
"What do you want?"
"Who are you calling ugly?!"
"Nothing" Yuuji replied, immediately losing interest and stepping back.
"If you are fine, I will leave then" he added as he turned around, with no intention of getting further involved.
From the beginning he had planned not to interfere. This is the first scene where Rito gathers enough courage to face one of the oddities he has been enduring since Lala appeared at his house. That means everything will turn out fine without intervention.
"As they say: The one who does not get in the way helps the most" Yuuji muttered as he headed home, since classes had ended during the incident.
The money and his grades were enough for no one to question his absence during the last class.
"Although I have no idea how Lala and the others will explain it" Yuuji added quietly, thinking about how they would get out of the situation.
But then he remembered that the school had been completely repaired from one day to the next, something that was definitely Lala or Zastin's work, and he thought that perhaps Lala has more influence at the school than it seems.
"It does not matter. System, use the eight Bronze tickets." Yuuji decided not to think too much about it.
...
At the same time, in the gym storage room, after Yuuji left, Lala used the weapon as she had planned and fired at both of them.
Instead of harming them, the weapon teleported both aliens far away, to some distant planet.
"Yuuji is a good person" she said, looking toward where he had gone before turning to Rito. "Right?"
"Right. Although I do not know much about him or how a human has powers, so far he has always helped when he could" Rito replied. "Although he is somewhat distant and serious."
"Distant and serious? He has always seemed very friendly to me and he enjoys my inventions" Lala said, confused.
"I think that is just how he acts in front of you" a female voice was heard from below.
Both looked and saw Haruna beginning to wake up on the mat where Lala had left her.
Because of her torn clothes, part of her skin was exposed, which made Rito blush while Lala asked Peke to repair them.
"By the way, Haruna, what did you say about Yuuji?" Lala asked after helping her.
Haruna sat up, now with her uniform intact.
"I think Yuuji keeps an invisible wall with everyone, as if he does not want to truly get involved, even if he talks to them. But with you he actively gets closer" she explained.
"Is that so? I had not noticed."
Haruna looked at Rito, who had an expression that clearly showed he had not noticed anything either.
"Do you think he is trying to gain my trust before doing something?" Lala asked with such seriousness that both tensed up.
Remembering old schemes from people who had tried to harm her father.
"No... I do not think it is something that calculated" Haruna replied uncomfortably.
Lala burst into laughter.
"Haha, it was a joke, I do not think Yuuji is like that. Speaking of Yuuji, I promised I would build him an AI. Let us go home to finish it," she said, taking Rito by the arm and dragging him.
"Ah, wait!" he protested, but he could not resist. "Haruna, see you tomorrow."
"See you tomorrow" Haruna said goodbye, raising a hand after both of them left, remaining alone in the storage room.
...
[Hello, I am your new virtual assistant. What do you need?]
"Ooooh, it works!" Lala exclaimed excitedly as she saw the light blue head connected to countless tiny floating cables in front of her.
[Master Lala, do you need anything?]
"That is right. From now on you will serve Yuuji Rito."

[From the dark web.]
"Did I give you access to that?"
[I have access to the entire planetary network. Its defenses are nothing compared to devilukean technology.]
"Hahaha... I think I made you a bit too powerful," Lala said embarrassed. "I am not interested in information about Yuuji's parents, just make sure to..."
