"I'm not your servant; if you wanted to go, go yourself!" she retorted, rolling her eyes. Crossing her arms, she gazed up at the sky and addressed the Narrator. "Squeaky! Go find the MASTER and Ms. Nobody."
Silence.
"Don't call me that!" the Narrator squeaked indignantly.
The love interest flipped her middle finger at the sky. "Stop whining and do what I told you." She began spinning around, flipping her middle finger in every direction. Mr. Nobody didn't know how to react to such a situation, so he remained silent. Glancing around, he noticed that a strong wind had suddenly appeared.
"It was sunny just a moment ago," he thought, looking around him. "Strange" In the original story, the Love Interest was supposed to meet the protagonist on a sunny day so that he would associate her with the sun. "Personally, I'd say she's definitely more like storm clouds and thunder," he thought; as he stood there thinking, the Narrator's voice faded away.
"Tch. What a waste of time," the girl grumbled, rubbing her temples. "And why did it suddenly get so cold?"
Mr. Nobody moved on, heading away from the city, and the "demon" followed close behind.
"And where are you off to?" she asked without breaking her stride.
"To the Dragon's Lair," he replied, not even turning around.
"Why?"
"Ms. Nobody told me that the only choice left in this story is to destroy everything here," Mr. Nobody declared in a confident tone.
"And she wants to start with the strongest being in this world," the pink-haired girl added.
"I didn't know you were actually capable of thinking." Sarcastically said Mr. Nobody
"Keep being jealous," the girl rolled her eyes and continued following him, while he took a moment to mentally review the structure of this world.
Before transferring into the book:
A man with long, dark hair sat sipping his tea when suddenly, Ms. Nobody,a young woman with short hair and weary eyes,burst into his otherwise tranquil room.
"A new mission ... and another *isekai*," the young woman said in a tired voice. "Reincarnation, girls chasing after the male lead, magic, the protagonist becoming the strongest being alive….the usual stuff." Ms. Nobody finished speaking and placed a stack of papers on the tea table in front of Mr.nobody. But he merely glanced at them, his gaze drifting past the pages. "Are you even listening to me?" Silence. No answer. Ms. Nobody turned and left the room, while Mr. Nobody simply stared out the window, continuing to drink his tea.
"A new magic system to memorize ," he thought , and decided to read the text after all...
Love Interest brought him back from his thoughts. "I think we've arrived," she said, gesturing toward a small hill and the dark passage leading into it. "But how does a dragon squeeze through there?" the young woman asked.
Mr. Nobody simply shrugged and approached the passage, which was just slightly taller than he was. Peering inside, he saw that the downward slope dropped at an angle of nearly ninety degrees.
Love Interest grew tired of waiting and peered into the passage herself. "Ha! Easy. Watch and learn."
A few minutes later...
"Aaaah!"
The entrance to the passage had been relatively normal…barely walkable, perhaps, but solid ground nonetheless…yet the path ahead quickly gave way to a bottomless pit with no visible end. Plummeting downward, Mr. Nobody simply closed his eyes and crossed his arms, listening to Love Interest scream in terror. Keeping his eyes shut during the moments of freefall, he suddenly felt someone sharply grab him by the collar. Opening his eyes, he saw Ms. Nobody's bloodied hand,and then saw her. Her entire body was covered in blood and wounds. Just like Mr. Nobody she also had caught Love Interest. But she catched Love Interest gently and asked if she was alright. The love Interest's face reddened and she nodded in affirmation.
"Good," she replied, acknowledging the mission, as she held both Mr. Nobody and the Love Interest in her arms. But then, like a sudden clap of thunder on a clear day, a familiar voice rang out:
"I've found the MASTER!"
