Jay-jay's POV:
That feeling of being invisible? I know it now. I'm feeling it so strongly. It's insane. These jerks still aren't paying attention to me. It's been days. It's almost been a week.
I've been left on seen by these idiots. Ci-N still hasn't come to class. He's such a liar! And when I call him, he doesn't answer.
"Class.... Tomorrow, we'll be at the gymnasium. Don't forget your P.E. uniforms," said our P.E. teacher, who shares a name with a former actress.
"Yes, Ma'am," my classmates replied boredly.
We finished with Miss Asunta and then moved on to Miss Smith.
"Clean your room!" she greeted us.
Agreed! Our room looks like a garbage dump. The people here look like garbage collectors.
"Just clean your room, and I'll hold class tomorrow," she added, giving the lunatics a reason to be motivated.
"Nice.... We can go home early."
"Yes!"
"Let's get started."
They're so good at this! So active when there's no class.
Miss Smith left, and everyone stood up. I was about to stand too when Keifer handed me a broom and dustpan.
"Same as before.... Clean the room," He said.
I was about to argue, but I noticed our classmates were already gone. They'd left, and only Keifer and I were still inside.
"Why me again?"
"Because you're annoying. Do what I said, or you're not going home," he said and walked away.
When he left the room, he closed the door again. What's this? Déjà vu? This has happened before.
Rather than be stuck here, I had no choice but to clean. The floor was a mess again----leftover food, papers, and dirt everywhere. The ceiling was thick with cobwebs, and dust covered everything.
I started by removing the cobwebs from the ceiling. I almost went blind from the dust. Then I grabbed a rag from their old cabinet. Since there was a small sink, I decided to get water from there.
I removed the plywood cover and turned on the faucet. There was water, but it was full of miss. I let it run for a while before wetting the rag.
While waiting, I removed the plywood, sheet metal, and cardboard covering the stuff at the back. I set them aside in a corner.
When the water was clear, I wet the rag and started wiping everything down. When I got to the window, I saw them all outside, seemingly having a meeting.
"What's the plan, Keifer?"
"Same.... We'll just make her leave."
"What if she doesn't want to?"
"Then we'll make it harder for her."
"Let's just scare her...."
"We'll do that, but not now." I overheard their conversation. Why do I feel like they're talking about me? They're planning to make me leave?
Ahhhh... Now I know! That's why they're doing this to me. They're making things difficult so I'll be forced to leave. HAHA! Sorry, guys, you messed with the wrong person. You think you can handle me? No! No!
Let's see who lasts longer! I'm not leaving. You can all rot first!
I quickly finished cleaning. I put all the trash in a garbage bag and knocked on the door.
Keifer came in first, and the rest were at the door. Keifer immediately looked at the ceiling and froze when he saw the stuff at the back.
"What the....." He almost whispered.
"I removed the stuff blocking... It was in the way and full of dust. It's also a breeding ground for----"
"It's still dirty," He said authoritatively.
"Huh?! It's clean now... It just needs paint on the walls and-----"
"That's not what I mean." He snapped his fingers, and Felix handed him the garbage bag.
I looked at Felix, but he wouldn't meet my eyes.
I was shocked when Keifer suddenly scattered the contents of the garbage bag. A foul smell filled the air, and trash flew everywhere.
What the f***?!
"See? It's dirty," he said, smirking arrogantly.
How much does it cost to get laser eyes? I'll get them just to melt Keifer in front of me. What an animal! Worse than an animal!
"Are you insane?!"
"Maybe...." He turned his back on me. "..... Clean this mess!"
Jerk!
"Hey Keifer!" I shouted.
He stopped. I grabbed the trash I'd collected in the garbage bag and walked up to him.
"You're right...."
He turned to me and raised an eye brow.
"It's still dirty!" I said firmly before dumping the contents of the garbage bag on him.
Almog with the papers, food wrappers, dirt, and dust now on his head and shoulders, Keifer glared at me as the idiots at the door whispered.
"Shit!"
"She's dead now."
"Call Yuri!"
If looks could kill.... Damn! I'd be on my 40th day of mourning.
"You! Stupid! Women!" He shouted.
I almost stepled back from his yelling, but I stood my ground. Head held high.
"What do you think I am?! Your maid?!"
"You----"
"Keifer!" Someone shouted.
We both looked at the door. Yuri was there, eyebrows furrowed, looking at us in confusion.
"What the hell?! What are you covered in dust, Keifer?!" He asked.
His eyebrows furrowed further when he saw the mess on the floor.
"Kindly explain..." He said calmly.
I looked at Keifer, and he looked at me.
"SHE STARTED IT!" we both shouted, pointing at each other.
"WHAT ME?!" we shouted in unison again.
This jerk! He's copying me!
"Stop copying me!" He shouted at me.
"Hey? You're the one copying me!"
"You're the----"
"STOP!" Yuri shouted, his throat almost bursting. ".... BOTH OF YOU STOP!" He glared at us both. "... Aren't you ashamed? You're acting like children. Clean this mess right now, or both of you will stay here forever."
There's no such things as forever.
Yuri glared at me. Crap! I think I said that out loud! I looked away.
"I'm not cleaning this mess," Keifer saud stubbornly. "... I'm the class president---"
"David is coming back," Yuri cut him off.
David?
"What?!" Keifer asked, full fo confusion but also anger.
Who's David? Is that the guy they said Kiko me'loves took down? Ugh! Me'loves already?
"He called me this morning. He said he's coming back," Yuri said. ".... We'll talk about it later. For now, clean this up." He added and walked away.
When he left, he closed the door again. It was just Keifer and me inside. I grabbed the broom and threw it at him.
"Sweep up the mess you made!" I ordered.
The great Keifer just smirked at me and sat in a corner. Wow, great!
If he doesn't want to clean, he can stay there and rot.
I just sat on one of the benches. It was quiet between us, and all I could hear was the chatter of the idiots outside.
Every now and then, I'd glance at Keifer, but he was just staring into space. He looked sleepy, with dark circles under his eyes, and he yawned a few times.
It was getting dark, and it seemed like our classmates outside were getting tired of waiting. I wanted to go home too----I was starving.
I grabbed another broom and walked up to Keifer. I handed it to him, but he just looked at me.
"Come on.... Let's clean. I want to go home," I said.
He just kept staring at me. Damn it! I really want to go home!
I took his hand and forced him to hold the broom. He held it, so I stepped away. I grabbed another broom and startes cleaning.
I'd only swept twice, but Keifer was still just standing there.
"Tsk! What's wrong?! Help me out! I want to go home."
He seemed to finally get the message. He stood up and started sweeping, but only in one spot. Oh, come on!
"Keifer, serously!" I complained, stomping my foot. "... I really want to go home."
"Tss. Fine," He said and started sweeping properly.
The silence was deafening. It was getting dark outside.
"Keifer....." I started, but he didn't answer. ".... Who's David?"
He didn't answer. It seemed like he had no intention of talking.
Grumpy!
"The original Class President of Section E," He answered boredly.
Wow! This jerk is finally cooperating. He must be getting bored too.
"Is he the one you guys were talking about before? The one Kiko took down?"
He paused for a moment, as if thinking, before going back to sweeping and speaking.
"Yeah....."
Such a longer answer..... I felt that for 0.01 milliseconds.
"Why isn't he here if he's the class president?" I asked.
He stopped again and faced me. "You ask too many questions..... I'm done," he said, handing me the garbage bag.
Wow! He's really done. I quickly finished what I was doing. When he noticed everything was okay, he banged on the door.
It took a while for it to open. Maybe they fell asleep. When the door opened, I expected Yuri to come in and check, but someone else walked in instead.
It was Aries, and he was glaring at me and Keifer.
"What are you doing here?!" Keifer asked calmly but authoritatively.
Aries didn't answer. He just walked up to me and grabbed my arm.
"I've been waiting for you!" He said to me.
"W-wait!" I struggled. ".... My bag!"
He let me go and allowed me to grab my bag. When I got it, I noticed how many people were outside. Aries started walking, so I followed.
When we got outside, I realized that even Aries' classmates were with him.
And the looks they exchanged were intense.
