Jay-jay's POV:
"How bad was the impact?" The nurse asked me.
"It was really bad..... I felt weak immediately." I replied.
I didn't know who brought me to the clinic. The nurse took care of me as soon as she saw that I was awake. I made up a story about what happened to me, saying I tripped and hit my stomach on the edge of a table.
"Just a moment..." The nurse said and left.
I slowly touched my stomach. It hurt so much! I felt like my organs could come loose any second. It was still aching and my arms and legs were trembling.
Ugh! I was feeling okay for a second, but now I want to get back at those guys.
They probably ganged up on me just because I'm a girl. I was right before----those D guys are just followers of A. Tsk!
The curtain that separated my bed from the room opened. I thought it was the nurse again, but it was Ci-N and David, followed by the King of all snakes.
"Are you okay?" Ci-N asked me.
I forced a smile and nodded.
"Can you tell us what happened?" David asked.
I didn't want to, but I knew they wouldn't stop bothering me until I told them the truth.
I glanced at the nurse I talked to earlier. I lied to her, so I was worried she might overhear. Hehe.
"Three guys came into my room, then....."
"Argh! Did they rape you?!" Ci-N dramatically asked. I was a bit shocked but gave him a death glare.
"Let me finish first, Ci. Or I'll finish you!"
He pouted and kept quiet.
"It was a message from Freya... and then they punched me in the stomach."
Keifer crossed his arms and sighed deeply. "Those are Section D guys, and I know only one person who always targets the stomach in a fight."
I looked at him. He knew immediately. I guess everyone here knows each other.
"As long as I remember his face, that's enough."
"What's the plan, Jay?" Ci-N asked before sitting beside me.
"I'll rest for now."
"Then?" David asked.
"I'm not sure yet." I wasn't sure when I'd get back at them.
"Do you want us to beat them up?" Ci-N offered with a smile.
Always up for a fight!
"No, I'll handle it. This is my fight."
"But Jay----"
"Ci! Stop being annoying!"
He pouted again. I felt like I shouldn't drag them into this mess. "You don't belong"----everyone has their own battles to face.
" If that's what you want, then it's up to you." Keifer replied.
He was about to leave when I suddenly remembered something I wanted to clear up.
"Keifer!" He stopped and turned to face me. "... I just have one question."
He looked at me, waiting for my question.
"Is Aries the reason why you've been messing with me?"
He paused for a long time, and we started at each other. David and Ci-N stayed quiet, as if waiting for an answer too.
"Sort of."
That was all he said before quickly walking out of the clinic. He seemed like he didn't want to talk about it, so he avoided it. Tsk.
David was about to leave too, but I stopped him.
"Why?" He asked.
He used to be the president of Section E. It wouldn't hurt to ask him.
"There's just something I don't get. Freya said that D and E aren't that different, meaning they have recordd too..."
"If what you mean is why don't they just merge our section with theirs, it's because they're still hesitant." He quickly figured out what I wanted to know. Am I that obvious?
"How do you mean..."
"Because Jay, D is kind of like A, but also like E."
Ci-N explained.
I scratched my head. What does that mean? I was confused by what Ci-N said.
"What Ci-N means is that D is also talented in many ways. They're smart, good at sports, and many other things just like A. But they have records of fighting and causing trouble. Unlike E, who has no talent but is only good at fighting."
Why do I feel like the pain in my body shifted to my head? His explanation was long, but at least it made more sense than Ci-N's.
"I get it now, but if D is talented and they got into fights, why is Aries in A? He gets into fights too."
David and Ci-N exchanged looks, like they didn't want to answer my question.
"Jay....." Ci-N started. "... Aries fights dirty. We're not sure how he ended up in A, but one thing's for sure: he didn't let Keifer and Yuri leave Section E."
He fights dirty?
"Is he..... cheating?"
Ci-N just nodded. No wonder, even though it's obvious he fights, he's still in A. On top of that, he acts like he's the king.
"By the way, Jay, the Perioical Exams are coming up. Ma'am Tanda asked if you're really not transferring anymore."
Oh, I almost forgot. Jeez! It's Ma'am Zaragosa she's talking about. This is so typical of Ci.
"I'll talk to her." I answered, and Ci-N smiled at me.
"Okay, Jay..... Rest up. We'll come back for you later." David said, and they walked out of the clinic.
Ci-N followed but waved at me before disappearing out of sight.
I adjust my position in bed, but I didn't feel like sleeping. I was thinking.
Wow, I can actually think now!
Ugh! This annoying in my brain keeps eating my neurons and meddling with my thoughts.
I couldn't stop stop thinking about what Freya said in the bathroom.
Ella was Keifer's ex and Yuri's girl. So she could be the reason why those two went crazy in the cafeteria.
Then maybe Aries was the guy who got beatne by Yuri and Keifer.
Tsk! I wish I asked Ci-N about it to confirm, but I didn't want to be called a gossip.
I also wanted to check on Calix. I heard that Mica got mad at him and told him to forget about her and stay away. Maybe that's why he cried.
Sigh.....
Maybe I should've transferred to another school. I've only been here a short time, but already it's nothing but headaches and body pains.
The nurse returned and took care of me again. She even gave me medicine.
I must've spent several hours just staring blankly at the clinic when David and Ci-N returned with my things. They said they'd drive me home.
I wanted to refuse, but could I win against these two?
They're both persistent and talkative.
David had a car, so it wasn't a problem for them to drive me home.
"Don't you want to come inside?" I asked as soon as I got out of the car.
David just shook his head.
"Not today, Jay.... Looks like you have visitors." He answered while pointing at the cars parked in front of our house.
Do we have visitors?
"Next time, Jay." David added.
I just smiled and nodded. I waited for them to leave before going inside. I was still having a hard time walking because my muscles were still trembling.
When I entered the house, it felt like the pai disappeared. I felt alive again, like I gained strength just by seeing the people in front of me.
But why were they here?
Aries' group was here, including Freya and Ella, but I couldn't see Mica. My temper flared. What a bad day!
I looked like a rag right now.
I was borrowing a T-shirt because my blouse got ruined, but I still looked like a mess.
"Jay.... What happened to you?" My aunt greeted me, causing Aries' group to notice me.
"Hi, Jay!" Kiko greeted, but I just gave him a forced smile.
Sorry! I'm in the mood to flirt with you. You've got some troublemakers with you!
I turned to my aunt to answer her question. "I just tripped, and my blouse got ruined, so I borrowed a T-shirt."
"Really?" Freya whispered, obviously trying to make a dig.
"Tsk! You should've been more careful. Go change and have a snack." My aunt ordered.
I just smiled and nodded. I gave Freya a nasty look before heading my room. I didn't let on that I was still in pain, even though my body was screaming.
