CHAPTER 36: THE LEGACY OF THE FORGOTTEN

The Architect's massive digital avatar had shattered. For the first time, the sky above the Underground City caught a glimpse of true blue. The layer of control had finally been stripped away from the eyes of the people.

In the center of the arena, Aryan and Iris still stood, their breathing heavy. After the activation of "The Beyond" mode, a strange peace had settled within Aryan—like the silence following a great storm.

Iris spoke softly, "You defeated him, Aryan… but the system isn't entirely gone yet".

Aryan looked up at the sky. "Yes… the Architect's avatar is destroyed, but his real network still exists somewhere out there".

Just then, Captain Zero and Kael approached them. Pride was etched on Zero's face, but a deep worry lingered in his eyes.

"Aryan," Zero said, "The Architect was just a face. The true power is still hidden within The Source. But now, we have a way".

Aryan looked at him. "What way?"

Zero remained silent for a moment, then spoke— "What your Grandfather (Dada ji) left behind for us".

The four of them moved toward the most secure part of the city. After passing through several security doors and old tunnels, they reached a vast, dusty room.

A faded name was written on the door of that room— "Vault of Ancestors".

In the center of the room sat an old, rusted iron chest. Captain Zero walked up to it and spoke softly, "This is your grandfather's legacy. He hid this when the system first came online".

Kael asked in astonishment, "So all of this was hidden here for all these years?"

Zero nodded. "He said—only when Subject-01 awakens will these files be opened".

The chest opened. Inside lay an old hard drive, some handwritten maps, and papers filled with strange symbols. As soon as Aryan connected the hard drive to the terminal, a red warning flashed on the screen:

ACCESS DENIED

GENETIC KEY REQUIRED

Aryan placed his hand on the scanner. A golden beam erupted from his S-01 tattoo… and the system opened instantly.

ACCESS GRANTED

FOUNDATION FILES UNLOCKED

A flood of data appeared on the screen. But this wasn't ordinary code—it was filled with space maps, energy graphs, and incredibly ancient symbols. Iris whispered, "This isn't just technology… this is the knowledge of a very ancient civilization".

Suddenly, a recording began to play on its own. The image of an elderly man appeared on the screen—Aryan's grandfather. He looked directly into the camera.

"Aryan… if you are hearing this message, it means you have come close to the truth. What the world understands as a software called 'Shunya'… is not actually a program".

Silence fell over the room. A cosmic scene appeared on the screen—a massive black energy swirling among the stars. His grandfather's voice echoed again:

"Shunya is a Cosmic Entity. A consciousness that exists beyond time and space. The Architect has only tried to imprison it in a digital cage… so he can control the consciousness of all humanity".

Kael spoke in disbelief, "Meaning… it's not an AI or a virus?"

Aryan didn't take his eyes off the screen. "No… it's far greater than that. Shunya is the foundation upon which the entire universe rests".

As Aryan decoded the final file, a new folder appeared on the screen: PROJECT: ANTI-SUBJECT. Iris's face grew grave. "What is this…?"

Aryan opened the folder. Inside was a blurred photograph. There was a face in that photo—it looked exactly like Aryan. But in his eyes, there was only darkness.

Aryan's voice trembled. "Is this… me?"

Iris quickly scanned the data. "No… it's not you. It's your Duplicate".

The lights in the room suddenly turned red. An alarm began to blare. A new, heavy, and cold voice echoed from the wall speakers—but it wasn't the Architect's voice.

"Simply knowing the truth isn't enough… brother".

A figure slowly emerged from the dark corner of the room. In his eyes, the same black energy was glowing that was in Aryan's eyes. He smirked. "You must also know how to handle it".

Aryan stood stunned. Because the person standing before him… was his own double.
