9. Formation of the Heavenly Peak Phalanx [2]
The eyes of both Duran and Aria widened in disbelief.
"You summoned Entria!" Aria exclaimed loudly.
"The First one. Herself!" Duran stated boldly.
Entria. He remembered that name. Duran mentioned it earlier, that she destroyed the Apollix Seal.
He looked around the hall quickly to find her.
Some kind of invisible pressure hit him.
"Over here, kid!"
He heard a voice from below.
He looked down.
It was a girl who looked about fourteen, half his height, with silver hair and dim light blue eyes. She looked small, but the spirit energy she was emitting was terrifying.
But he refused to be overwhelmed.
'I greet you great goddess,' he exclaimed.
'Forgive me if I have incurred your wrath. I wasn't aware that I could summon a being of your standing.'
She laughed.
"Hahaha, I have met many humans but you are the first to compliment me instead of passing out."
Her tone darkened.
"But do you really think compliments are enough to persuade me?"
He looked at her with an ice-cold stare.
'Of course not...'
He paused.
'The Apollix Seal you thought you had destroyed is currently in the hands of the Nuxeons, and that's not all. They are currently on the hunt for the keys of the Genesis Seal. According to my hypothesis: they are going to use the Summoners' War as a front to achieve their goals.'
He looked deep into her eyes unshakingly.
"How is that possible?... I saw that accursed artifact get destroyed with my own eyes," a lady with long pointy ears exclaimed softly.
"Is your judgement so clouded by your ideals that you can't even think of the possibility of them finding or making another one?" a lady with golden butterfly tattoos on her legs replied scenically.
"So what are you implying exactly?" Entria asked, the aura around her getting deadlier.
'The gods and goddesses are at risk of total obliteration... And the winner of the Summoners' War will be a major determining factor.'
"So you are proposing an alliance," a male with a pair of dark wings popping out of his back asked calculatively.
His cold gaze shifted across the entire hall.
'Not an alliance, a contract in which I am the master and you are my summons.'
"To spout such words with no fear at all..." Entria's tone lightened as she rubbed her slender chin.
"He has such confidence because he is completely capable of leading us," Duran stepped forward.
"We have seen it with our own eyes," Aria said loudly.
"Who would have thought that the most prideful god would acknowledge a human as his master," a male with pointy ears and a wizard hat exclaimed.
"I don't mind at all. I would like to figure out what he has that enchanted the goddess of Takeoun Shrine," a female with blond hair and a black blindfold with gold over her eyes stated calmly.
[The Transcendent grade entity: Reima the goddess of the judgement scales has acknowledged you as her master!]
"Hahaha!" Entria's laughter echoed through the entire hall.
"You have moxie. To threaten gods and goddesses. I commend you."
She paused.
"I Entria, the first one, the goddess of the Celestium, agree to your terms and conditions."
She floated up and smacked his shoulder.
"You better not disappoint me."
A smile played across her face.
[The Transcendent grade entity: Entria, the first one, goddess of the Celestium, has acknowledged you as her master!]
"I don't know about the rest of you but I find this human really interesting," she stated boldly.
After a brief silence.
"If... if... if... if Lady Entria acknowledges him... then... then..." a female with dark hair and crimson eyes, bright white wings popping out of her back stammered. "I'll give him a chance too!" she screeched.
[The Transcendent grade entity: Hona the goddess of Azure has acknowledged you as her master!]
[The Transcendent grade entity: Taumus, the Saged God of magical fusion has acknowledged you as his master!]
[The Transcendent grade entity:----]
[The Transcendent——]
[The----]
The notifications kept popping up faster than he could read. After a while they stopped.
[Summon link has been formed ×24!]
He felt all sorts of different sensations within him at once. It was probably the abilities he was inheriting from them.
"How do you plan to win the Summoners' War? I am Kamen, the strategic seer goddess of the Pramadon," she stated calmly.
'Carrot and stick.'
"Interesting!" she exclaimed softly.
'I have kept you guys standing for too long!'
He paused softly.
'Create: welcome feast.'
[Fabrication complete!]
Tables and chairs filled the central hall along with all sorts of dishes and drinks.
'Enjoy yourselves. Don't forget to meet me later so I can customise your individual rooms.'
"Hahaha. I love you already kid!" Entria said as she chugged down a bottle of wine.
A lot had just happened and he was completely exhausted. He needed to take a quick nap so his body could adapt properly.
'Duran and Aria you are both in charge.'
He vanished before they could reply.
After a few hours, he woke up.
It was surprisingly quiet.
But he left Duran and Aria in charge.
He was shocked they had not destroyed the whole building.
Whoosh—
He teleported to the central hall.
They called themselves gods. Just look at them. They were completely wasted.
"A disheartening sight, isn't it?"
A female with pure white hair and a sparkling pair of white horns, along with a well detailed polished white dragon-like tail emerging from her bosom, appeared beside him.
He did not even notice her.
'Indeed, I'm surprised you aren't wasted too.'
"I refuse to soil my integrity with something as meager as alcohol," she exclaimed boldly.
'Can you perhaps rejuvenate them?'
"Of course. Zetan technique, petal 7: overflowing revitalisation."
White petals spread from beneath her feet across the entire central hall.
"All done," she mentioned softly.
'Thanks a lot.'
She walked away without answering, her face remaining expressionless.
'You have all had your fair time of relaxation.'
He exhaled.
'Now it's time to get down to business.'
'You all will now be known as the Heavenly Peak Phalanx. I have discussed with Entria earlier and she gave me a brief overview of your abilities. In that light I will be dividing the Phalanx into various squadrons based on ability set.'
