Penelope's POV
The discovery happened purely by chance. I was making my way through the hospital corridors when I caught fragments of conversation between two nurses discussing a demanding blonde patient in room 304.
When one of them mentioned the name Bianca, my entire body tensed with fury.
Here I was, while Maya was having her first meeting with Leo, and that snake was lounging in the same hospital, no doubt playing the victim to perfection.
The urge to confront her overwhelmed my better judgment. I needed to see her face to face. I needed to drag the truth out of her lying mouth.
During visiting hours, when the hallways buzzed with activity and I could blend into the crowd, I made my way to the third floor. Room 304 sat isolated at the corridor's end, separated from the other rooms. It couldn't have been more perfect.
I gave the door a gentle tap before entering without permission.
