Lucian stared at the man in the arena; his heart was beating, and his soul was in turmoil- not the true soul, but rather his own feeling of what a soul was.
It wasn't supposed to happen like this... What went wrong? What did I do? What the hell...
Damn it all, that planning is gone to waste; all that training is going to be useless.
I'll have to go get that thing as soon as possible, and then I'll have to...
Ania, noticing the feeling of dread in her new partner, reached out, grabbed his head, and pulled him into her chest.
Then she leaned her own head down, bringing her mouth to his ear and whispered something.
Lucian's eyes widened, then he pulled his head up, and their eyes met for a moment.
"You are one strange girl."
Ania smiled with her mischievous grin.
"You love it, though."
Lucian's face flushed a slight shade of red before he fully stood up, leaving the warm embrace of her arms and chest.
Ania pouted slightly.
"So the war is coming; well then, I need to prepare. We don't have much time, my love, so let's get to work."
Ania, still pouting, spoke.
"What about my offer, though?"
Lucian's red cheeks grew a bit redder.
Lucian then coughed and scratched his neck.
"Yes, that... Later tonight will be a good time for me to help you out."
Ania put on another mischievous grin.
"Well, then let's find Selen. I'm to assume you still want to help out your best friend."
Lucian nodded and put on a smile of his own.
"Yes, of course, hes the key player after all."

Jon Smit removed his hand from the skull, then tore the head off its shoulders.
Before enveloping the head in a sphere of aura and crushing it.
"Damn, I wasn't expecting this to happen. I thought we dealt with it years ago."
Jon Smit gritted his teeth and turned around, looking up at the sky box where his wife was standing.
She had a worried look on her face, one that he'd seen only once before, and in this moment he wanted to do nothing but remove that look and bring her smile back.
But he couldn't.
The war that was approaching wasn't something that he could make light of.
In fact, he was more worried than anyone else; his fears of this happening were something he buried deep down within his soul, so deep he sometimes was able to be rid of them.
But he was never going to forget them fully; he couldn't.
He had formed this organization with his own blood, sweat, and tears, all to protect all that he could.
Now everything he had built could come crumbling down in such a short amount of time.
This is the fall of Rome, and Encana all over again. One would think with my power no one could stand a chance against me, but here we are again, first with that bastard Singulus and now this again...I suppose I'll have to enact the backup plan. And I suppose contacting her might be a good idea.
Damn, this is really bad.
Jon Smit looked up; the sky was just past dawn.
Meaning a new day had begun.

Solaris sat in front of the entity that inhabited his body from time to time.
He was asleep, so he dreamed his usual dream.
The creature wearing his face said nothing; its glowing white eyes and bright white hair sat still, while its lips curved into a smile.
Solaris was on the floor in a ball, staring at his feet.
A look of discontent found its way across Solaris's face.
murderer solaris, look at you sitting there just the same way you found Selen, not a good bone in your body, yet you dare to sit like her.
Solaris moved silently, letting go of his legs and falling to the floor, or whatever substituted as a floor in this infinitely dark space.
Solaris didn't speak, and neither did the entity.
Solaris wasn't sure why he was still in this place nor as to why the entity hadn't spoken.
In fact, he had absolutely no idea what was happening at all.
He had considered waking up, but in the end he didn't feel as if bringing another murderer into the world was something he should do.
As Solaris sat silently, his eyes fixed on the infinite darkness that made up the sky.
Solaris felt nothing, and nothing was happening.
He should've been bored if it weren't for the fact he believed he should feel worse things than bored.
Pain, suffering, hatred, loss- that's all a murderer like me should feel, nothing but torment.
Something broke the silence.
It was a chain rattling.
Then Solaris opened his eyes.
Solaris looked at the ceiling of the break room once again.
Damn it... Why me...
Solaris sat up, his neck in desperate need of being cracked and his body stiff.
But Solaris didn't stretch, nor did he crack his neck.
Instead, he just looked at the girl in front of him.
He should've jumped or been scared, but he wasn't in the mood for that.
Solaris blinked his eyes, glassy and disconnected.
His gaze met Selen's for a moment before he moved his vision away.
"Murderers don't get to see angels."
Solaris muttered to himself.
He wrapped his arms around himself.
He was cold.
