In front of everyone in the restaurant, Dominic pulled his future wife aside and whispered in her ear. It was a romantic scene, leaving them both amazed and afraid because they now knew who the ginger-haired woman was. At first, they didn't realize that she was the daughter of the most ruthless mafia boss in Dormania.
After Dominic's appearance, the customers did realize that two dangerous mafia groups were currently in the same place as them.
Hearing Dominic's whisper, Valeria felt even more annoyed because the man was trying to seduce her. She pushed Dominic away from her.
"What the hell are you doing?! Saying things like that to me. Heh, you think I'm a woman who will easily fall for your seduction? Don't even hope for it!" she said firmly.
Dominic chuckled, amused by Valeria's reaction. "Is that so? Maybe now you won't be affected..."
He walked over to Danny and looked at him. Danny, who was frightened and understood the current situation, immediately stood up from his seat and let the mafia boss sit in his chair facing her.
"But no one knows what will happen in the future, ginger. A person's heart can change, including yours," he continued casually, crossing his legs.
His brown eyes moved downward as if signaling the woman to sit back down in her chair. Valeria sat back down and faced the man who would become her husband.
"Valeria, if that's the case, then I—"
"Yes, yes, yes, go away. I don't need you anymore," she said, cutting Danny off and dismissing him with a wave of her hand, without looking away.
Her blue eyes remained fixed on Dominic's brown eyes. Dominic seemed to drown in Valeria's seductive gaze, even though she was doing nothing.
"Beautiful and sharp blue eyes, staring at me. Are you trying to kill me with those eyes, ginger? I love it," said Dominic, interlacing his fingers on the table.
From his body language as he leaned closer to her, bending his body forward, Valeria knew that Dominic was trying to show his interest in her. Her eyes continued to watch every detail of Dominic's movements every time he spoke.
Like a predator watching its prey. Valeria did this to find out what kind of man her conversation partner, her enemy, really was.
"So you enjoy having dinner with men out there, hm? It seems that from now on, you can only have dinner with me," said the boss.
"I do like it. They are varied and enjoyable. I am entertained when I am with them," replied Valeria as she slowly swirled her wine glass and then sipped it slowly.
"After we get married, you can only do that with me, ginger. I will make sure that every dinner you have will be very memorable."
She snorted dismissively at his words, as if she would never stop doing what she loved.
"Oh, really? Well... I don't know if it's the food, the atmosphere, or even who I'm with that I actually like about dinner. But I want you to know that I don't like being restrained. The more you tie me down, the wilder I'll be," Valeria explained.
She tried to speak casually and warn the man about herself. She said she wasn't an obedient woman who would just sit quietly at home waiting for her husband to come home like a fool.
Valeria preferred freedom, doing everything she liked without restrictions or limitations.
"I'm not saying I forbid you from doing whatever you want. Even if you still want to collect your 'babies' in our mansion later, I don't mind," she said.
The babies Dominic was referring to were Valeria's favorite sports cars and limited editions. Like the woman, he also liked to collect expensive cars, some of which were antiques, even though many modern cars cost as much as three large elite houses.
"Oh? Using your money to buy it?" Valeria asked, teasing Dominic irritably.
"Why not?" Dominic showed her his black card. It was an expensive black card, specially made for him.
For a moment, Valeria's eyes focused on the black card in Dominic's hand. None of the rich men she had dated ever had a black card in their hands. But Dominic had one, even an Dormanian Express card.
Even though she herself had a lot of money, Valeria had never thought of getting a black card because she had a motto. 'If I can use their money, why should I use my own?'
But she still bought most of her car collection herself. The results of her work in her own business.
'Wake up, Valy! Don't be fooled by his black card!' she thought at that moment, trying to snap herself out of it because she was tempted by Dominic's black card.
"Heh, that's all it is. Yes, I want something luxurious and extraordinary. Including the wedding party we're going to have in a few days. I want a nice place, a place that is very memorable and extraordinary, and everyone will remember it as an extraordinary wedding," said Valeria, as if challenging Dominic with her excessive desires.
But Dominic didn't mind that at all. He would let Valeria choose her own decorations, venue, and everything else. Including hiring a world-renowned designer for her wedding dress. Of course, this was beyond Valeria's expectations because Dominic would go that far.
She had wanted to make Dominic feel uncomfortable and annoyed with her many requests. But he didn't mind it at all.
"You better hurry up, ginger. Our wedding is coming soon and I want you to be the most beautiful woman, just like you want," said Dominic, leaning back in his chair.
"Heh, okay, okay. I'll make sure everything goes well," replied Valeria with a smile.
But in her heart, she deliberately didn't prepare anything so that their wedding would be canceled because there was nothing.
Not long after, a waiter brought the dessert that Valeria and Danny were supposed to have eaten earlier. It was a chocolate cake with red cherries on top. Dominic furrowed his brow and called the waiter back.
The waiter was a little surprised and felt afraid when he heard the question, then answered with a slight tremor. "Oh, it's a chocolate cake, sir."
"No, I mean what's inside this cake? Strawberry jam?" Dominic asked again when he saw something red between the two pieces of cake.
"No, sir, it's cherry jam. It's sweet and slightly sour, but not as sour as strawberry jam."
The waiter's answer did not satisfy Dominic, especially when he found out that it was cherry jam. He asked the waiter to take the cake back.
"Take this cake away from me. Just bring me a glass of wine," he said in a cold tone, unlike when he spoke to Valeria.
"Are you sure, sir? This is the dessert that—" He looked a little hesitant to take the cake back until Dominic raised his voice slightly.
"Didn't you hear me? Take this food away and get out of my sight!" he said again in a more assertive voice, emphasizing each word.
The waiter nodded fearfully and took the chocolate cake away. Valeria didn't say much, her eyes following the waiter who ran away in fear.
"Heh, what's this? Don't you like anything sweet? Did you get a toothache when you ate it, hm?" she asked Dominic in a mocking, condescending tone.
"I can eat sweet things, even if I eat you, I can do it," he replied half-jokingly, trying to calm himself down.
Valeria rolled her eyes in annoyance when she heard Dominic's words teasing her again.
"I don't like cherries, that's all," she said again.
"Oh? And why don't you like it? Cherries are sweet fruits and perfect for kissing," Valeria asked again while eating her chocolate cake.
It was obvious that she was enjoying the chocolate cake, especially when cherry jam stuck to her red lips.
Dominic was silent for a moment. Finally, he sighed softly and replied.
"I'm allergic to cherries."
