"What?"
I tried to play dumb, pretending I didn't know exactly what he wanted. But it was obvious. He had locked the door fully, even though no one ever entered without permission.
"Come on, sweetheart. You have to make up for yesterday."
He paused, leaning in so close that his breath brushed my lips. His index finger slipped under my chin, tilting my face up until our eyes locked.
"Let's not play dumb anymore, Eva."
"F-fine... but let me take a shower first."
I tried to slip past him toward the bathroom, but the world suddenly flipped. In one swift, effortless motion,
Daniel had me over his shoulder. His right arm wrapped around my thighs, holding me securely, almost gently. It happened so fast I barely felt the lift.
"Sounds good. Let's take a shower together."
He carried me into the bathroom without another word. I didn't bother resisting. If I fought now, he would only go rougher, and I wasn't sure I could handle that tonight.
