It was morning,the 30th October of 1578.King Simon was inside his chamber and was waiting for Shah's servants.As he expected,someone knocked on the door.Simon answered loudly:
-Please,come in!
As soon as he said this,this "someone" entered.It was Shah's advisor-Ismail again.
-Good morning,Simon!
-What brings you here,Ismail?
-I'm here to deliver you your military armor,sword,bow,arrows and helmet.After all,you will lead our 5000 troops.
-Please tell Shah Mohammad Khodabanda,that I truly appreciate these.Where are former prisoners?
-They are waiting for you in the yard.And,I will wait for you outside of this room.You will get dressed and I will check you as Shah commanded me.
-Okay,no problem!I know very well how to wear military uniform.I'm not doing this for the first time,you know.
-I will be waiting for you.Oh,I almost forgot to tell you,that I will accompany you towards your military campaign to Kartli.
-Why?
-Because,I have to check everything and report to the Shah.You know,that I will be accompanying you instead of him.He almost can't see anything.
-I understand,Ismail.You can wait for me outside.
-Okay,I'm going out.Get dressed quickly!
Simon put on the armor and helmet.Then,he held the Persian sword,bow and arrows.The king immediately remembered his battles against Iranians.He thought:
-"You expect me to obey your Shah and massacre my people for your interests?No way!I will slaughter your army and I will make sure to scare the 500 soldiers so much,that they surely won't hesitate to convey my orders.You will see,Ismail,you will see,how I can challenge your blind Shah.I'm coming to you,my lions,my Georgian warriors!"
As soon as he occurred this to his mind,he went to the door and opened it.He came out and looked at Ismail:
-Accompany me,we're going to the yard.Lead the way,Ismail!
-As you command,subject of my Shah!
-"I am not anyone's subject,you idiot!I will make you regret these words,you just wait!"-Simon thought for himself.
Ismail led Simon towards the palace yard.They soon arrived there.When Simon entered in this beautiful garden,he saw his 100 compatriots and 5000 Persians.After taking a look at all of them,he saw Mohammad Khodabanda accompanied by his servant.This servant helped him to walk towards this yard.When Simon got close to the Shah,the servant told him,that it was Simon in front of him.When Mohammad Khodabanda heard this,he touched Simon on his shoulders and told him:
-Simon,I trust you completely.I have no doubt,that you will keep your promise and act according to my interests.We will defeat the Ottomans together!
-Yes,of course,your majesty!I will not disappoint you.
-I hope so.Now,get on your horse and lead the cavalry and infantry.You have 5100 soldiers and my absolute trust.Good luck!
Simon smiled and got on the horse.Former Georgian prisoners looked at him with pride and joy.
