Ria was a bubbly girl, always smiling and laughing. But behind her bright smile, she hid a heart full of pain. Her boyfriend, Rohan, had broken up with her a week ago, and she was still reeling from the shock.
She lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, tears streaming down her face. Why did he leave her? What was wrong with her? She felt like she was worthless, like she wasn't good enough for anyone.
Ria got out of bed and walked to the window. The city lights twinkled below, but she felt no joy. She felt empty, hollow. She thought about all the memories she and Rohan had made together – the laughter, the fights, the makeups. It all seemed so fake now.
She cried harder, her body shaking with sobs. Why did love hurt so much? She felt like she'd never love again, like her heart was broken beyond repair.
Just then, her phone buzzed. It was a message from her best friend, Sia: "Hey, what's wrong? You're not answering my calls."
Ria typed out a reply, her fingers shaking: "Rohan broke up with me."
The response came instantly: "I'm coming over. We'll get through this together."
Ria smiled weakly, feeling a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, she wasn't alone after all .
