CHAPTER 54 A QUICK BRIEFING

The Prince looked at them with indifference, his nonchalant gaze carried his Princely status everywhere.

Prince Lyon nodded and stepped to the side.

Adele followed him behind.

The orders given to her by her superior were absolute.

Handle the Prince's wounds before focusing on the other students.

"My Prince, if I may."

Adele said.

Prince Lyon nodded as he sat on the rough ground and rest his back against the cave wall.

Adele knelt down beside him and placed her hands on his shoulder.

Her body glowed with energy and the energy spread all over his body.

Lyon let out a sigh of relief as the pains and injuries disappeared in the next few seconds

"Damn.... what an expedition"

Lyon let out a breath.

He glanced at his classmates for a short while, then faced the portal.

Three figures stepped out of it at the same time.

They were the instructors who escorted the students during the expedition.

They're armors were battered and broken, with multiple bruises and cuts, yet they looked gallant as always.

"Alright, everyone's here. They were damages, but luckily no one died"

Sir Basill nodded at Sir Zach.

The third years were thirty in numbers, with each having different noble and commoner back ground. But they were all accounted for.

"Alright, lower the seal!"

Sir Zach ordered.

At the far end of the cave, there was a lever that was built to the wall, connected to a massive chain, which held a colossal metal cage above the portal.

There are times when danger beasts pass through the portal and into their world.

So certain procedures were set in place.

One of the knights pulled the heavy lever and the cage slowly dropped and covered the portal.

The cage was built to withstand the gravitational pull of the portal, to hold strong beast long enough for the knights to arrive.

That is if the beasts were to pass through.

After helping the prince with his wounds, Adele bowed and walked towards the other students.

Though the other members of the her clan were tending to the students, there was only little they could do.

"Gather the ones that are in a more life threatening situation."

She ordered and they moved quickly.

The members of the Flowing Flower Clan were trained to be calm and cool headed during emergencies like this.

The knights and the students who could manage with their injuries also helped to gather the students.

They were done after a short while.

Adele nodded and her body burst with energy. Her spirit energy rose above her head and a spirit beast appeared.

A grey Koala bear stood, towering above her.

The bear let out a soft growl as it faced the students with critical conditions.

A strange aura flowed from the beast's body and it washed over the students.

Their bodies began to heal and regenerate, and signs of relief filled their eyes.

"That's a handy ability to have"

Basill chuckled.

After Adele finished with the healing, Sir Zach stepped forward to address the students.

"Welcome back to Avalon kids"

He cleared his throat.

"The expedition went beyond our intensions. This portal was supposed to have just Advanced and Magical Ranked beasts, but you faced higher ranks and survived.

This shows that the danger beasts are evolving every day, but it also shows that you're getting stronger."

He paused to let his words sink in.

"After now, you'll all be escorted to the main base of the Flowing Flower Clan, where you'll be accessed due to some traumatic events, and you'll be back on your feets in no time"

By now all the students were conscious, most of them were completely healed, but no ability could cure fear, trauma and experience.

The expedition lasted for two weeks after all.

"You are now third years, this is final year for you to become full fledge knights. It's an honor, so wear it with pride.

You will be given a week to recover before you resume classes. The second years are also on their expedition and should be arriving soon.

And the new first years...."

He paused and smiled.

Some of the students ears perked up and smirked.

Fresh meats....

Sir Zach smiled

"The new first years are interesting bunch, trust me on that. Some of them may even leave you threatened, even if they are at the Noble stage.

You're free to test them out yourself.

At the end of the month, a tournament will be held to officially welcome the first years. They'll get to battle against the second and third years, so make sure you show them what it means to be in Avalon Academy."

So, let the events of your expedition play out, don't suppressed it, embrace it, and you be surprised when you enter battle next time"

Sir Zach nodded, and walked away.

He gave a short bow to Prince Lyon before leaving the cave.

For the third years, they've been dealing with this for three years now, but for the first years, it had only been a day.
