The sky had started to darken. I was walking home alone with no one accompanying me.
Honestly, ever since Grandpa passed away, everything around me had become noticeably quieter. It might sound good since I'm the type who doesn't like being bothered much.
The problem is—I'm not used to it. Having a grandfather who was always talkative, nonsensical, and messing around at home had made me accustomed to the noise. Now that he's gone, it feels like something is missing.
Though things have gotten a little better since I summoned Angra. That idiot talks quite a lot, to be fair.
Thanks to him, my house feels a bit less empty and silent.
"…"
I lifted the plastic bag. Inside were quite a few snacks.
Even though I don't want to admit it, that dumbass Angra has brought back a sense of familiarity for me. And even though he's lazy, he's still willing to do things for me.
So it would be really heartless if I didn't repay him somehow.
"Speaking of which, I've been trying to talk to Angra through telepathy for a while now, but he's not responding. Probably wandered off somewhere or is glued to the TV again."
I sighed and continued walking down the deserted road.
'Sister Jean.'
The moment I thought of her, I glanced down at my Command Seals.
Ever since she started to relax around us, she stubbornly insisted on moving out and refused to stay with me.
Grandpa explained that she had come here from France after running away from home, so he had rushed over and hugged her leg—only to get kicked into the bushes.
Running away from home all the way from France to here? Something about that feels off to me…
Anyway, Grandpa gave her a bit of money and said goodbye. She even told me bluntly that we would never see each other again.
And yeah… since then we've seen each other every single day. She even thought I was stalking her and was about to beat me up until I explained fast enough.
I mean—don't you know how to read? You got scammed out of money and now you're living next to a garbage dump?? What kind of luck is that?? (Luck: E)
So I gritted my teeth and used my savings to rent her a small room.
Thanks to that, our relationship has clearly improved. I'm probably the only person she's friendly enough with to talk to and ask favors from.
It's already been three years now. She hasn't changed at all, while I've grown a little taller than her.
When I mentioned Grandpa passing away, she didn't show any emotion at all—she didn't even seem to care.
But afterward, she gave me a piece of candy as an apology for being a bit indifferent and overlooking my feelings.
…So in your eyes, Grandpa's existence isn't as important as my feelings?
Things just kept going like that. We trust each other, so… if she knows about the Command Seals, will it affect our relationship?
I hope not… because she cooks really damn good food (dude).
"Whatever, there's probably just a misunderstanding. Maybe she's mad because she thinks it's a tattoo. She's actually kind-hearted, after all."
'MASTER!!!'
That familiar voice—definitely him.
'What is it?' I startled and replied.
'I'm being attacked!! I thought I was the only Servant here??'
'Huh? What do you mean?'
'Hurry up and save me! She's about to burn me alive and grill me into BBQ!!'
'I'm weaker than you are.'
'USE A COMMAND SEAL TO TELEPORT ME OUT!! I HAVEN'T ENJOYED MY DAY OFF ENOUGH YET!!!!'
Looks like tonight's going to be a long one…

In Angra's eyes, his Master—Vincent Jutus—was a kid with a bit of a problem.
Unlike others his age, he clearly had a certain apathy toward everything around him, yet he still tried to hide it behind moralistic words.
Yes, the feeling was exactly like that priest.
However, he still seemed to let morality bind him, which made him somewhat contradictory in a way?
But at least he still had humanity—because Angra had observed his Master and noticed he talked quite warmly with a certain woman.
…She felt eerily familiar, but it was probably just a coincidence. Who knows how this multiverse crap works?
In short, according to Angra's assessment of his Master: he wasn't empty—he was an indifferent person searching for excitement… quite similar to that priest.
His true nature might not have fully surfaced yet, but it was only a matter of time. Angra wasn't doing this with bad intentions.
Evil is inevitable. So revealing one's true nature is actually a good thing—because Vincent wouldn't have to wear a mask and pretend anymore.
In a way, Angra was trying to help Vincent.
'Suddenly feel kinda benevolent, huh.' Angra rubbed his nose, lying on the rooftop while overlooking the entire city.
Angra was born the moment Saber destroyed the Grail in Fuyuki.
He wasn't truly Angra Mainyu, yet at the same time he was—because he was the "discarded" part of the real Angra Mainyu.
Okay, it's a bit confusing, but basically: this Angra is a fragment of the original Angra Mainyu—a man who was sacrificed to become the "all the world's evils" and ended up becoming part of Angra Mainyu himself.
And because he isn't the original Angra Mainyu, he still retains a tiny hidden bit of goodness inside him—the goodness from before he bore the name Angra Mainyu.
'Who am I even telling this to? Time to head home.' Angra stood up and stretched.
A powerful wave of hatred suddenly erupted around him. Angra jolted and turned around.
Right in front of him stood a woman wearing black armor and a cloak. Golden eyes, ash-white hair fluttering in the wind, and a flag held firmly in her hand.
"…Um, do I know you by any chance?" Angra tried greeting her in a friendly way.
"Hmph. Looking into your eyes, it seems you know me. Have we met before?" She smirked, her gaze like she was looking at an insect.
'Should I say we met in Chaldea…?' Angra broke into a cold sweat and forced an innocent smile.
"Never mind. Either way, I'm going to burn you to death no matter who you are."
"Can we talk for a sec? I think there's some misunderstanding here. For example... Vincent and I know each other?" Angra tried to say something.
Suddenly the air around them grew scorching hot. Her eyes became even sharper.
"Oh? Trying to threaten me using someone else? As expected—as soon as I saw you I knew you weren't anything good. You really shouldn't piss me off like that."
Oh crap, the misunderstanding just got way worse. This demon woman definitely isn't going to listen to a word I say!!!!
"Vincent's flirting with someone over there!" Angra immediately pointed in a random direction to distract her.
"What?!" She jerked her head around in shock, but there was no one there.
It actually worked…
Then she realized Angra was already sprinting away at full speed to escape.
Instantly, flames erupted fiercely around her. Hatred spread everywhere, turning into a source of mana for her.
Uh oh—she's pissed.
"I'LL KILL YOU! LA GRONDEMENT DU HAINE!"
"OH SHIT SHE'S USING HER NOBLE PHANTASM ALREADY?! MASTER SAVE MEEEE!!!!"
The weakest Servant vs. the strongest Servant (Today)!
