Chapter 11 - Rule

Everything happening inside is completely fake.

In the end, the moment they lie down on their bed and close their eyes, that's when they're pulled into the loop.

This loop, instead of lasting 4 days, has been extended to a full week—while a normal Holy Grail War usually takes place over two weeks.

Well, Angra did his absolute best. He even got massive mana support from Jean-nee, which let him make adjustments with ridiculous ease.

Yes, with Jean-nee's help (specifically her mana), most of the work got shortened dramatically.

I don't know exactly how much authority Angra has to edit this Noble Phantasm, but as long as Jean-nee is supplying power, it's more than enough!

"I'm not a battery." Jalter was sitting on the sofa next to me, watching everything unfold on the screen Angra had created.

"Sorry."

"Next time don't make me support this guy again. It's gross." She bluntly dissed Angra.

Jean-nee seems way too powerful. I mean, you can regenerate mana continuously as long as your hatred for France still exists? Isn't that basically a perpetual motion machine?

"Ayy! I'm back!" Angra suddenly appeared out of nowhere, arms full of snacks, and handed them out to everyone.

"Give me a Coca-Cola," I said.

"Plain water," she said.

"Healthy, huh? Here!"

After handing us our drinks, Angra plopped down on the sofa too and started watching the screen.

This Holy Grail War had received a few tweaks, making everything inside quite different from a normal one.

Specifically, it had strong game-like elements. You can probably guess which game.

Everything inside—the townspeople, monsters, even the Servants was fake. They were all created from Angra's own mud.

However, because Angra's mud contains absolute evil, he had to work extremely hard to adjust the NPCs inside so they wouldn't be corrupted by it.

The Servants in particular were basically perfect copies of the real Heroic Spirits.

But to keep things balanced, I asked Angra to nerf their power a little… even though it was all happening inside a dream.

After all, real Heroic Spirits are strong enough to casually destroy an entire city… except maybe Angra.

Oh, right—I forgot to mention: time inside this loop is completely detached from real-world time.

Yeah. If Angra wants, once the Masters finish the Grail War inside, only about 0.1 seconds will have passed outside.

But this loop is extremely fragile, so it needs a mediator with strong willpower to hold it together.

That's me.

Alright, enough explaining how it was made. Now for what's actually inside.

I had to dig through and find another notebook Grandpa wrote called "FGO Gameplay and Stuff."

It covered all kinds of things: upgrade materials, ascension, skill upgrade quests, Command Codes, Craft Essences, Fou cards, leveling up…

It was pretty interesting, so I threw all of it in.

That's why when Tam Lin Gawain (aka Barghest) just killed a monster, it dropped a Void's Refuse.

At the same time, I also added Singularities inside. The Singularities contain tons of necessary materials and the most efficient ways to farm rare ones—especially Class Pieces.

Drop rates from monsters also depend on the Master's Luck stat. If you're unlucky, you get absolutely nothing.

Craft Essences are also in the Singularities but getting them is insanely hard. In the end, they're still crucial for boosting Servant power.

If you do manage to get one, it's usually only 1 or 2-star ones. 3-star is already lucky.

Command Codes? Also from Singularities!

"Why the hell is everything in Singularities?" Jalter glanced at me.

"I hate gacha."

Noble Phantasms… you have to defeat Shadow Servants that look exactly like your own Servant.

And yes—THAT'S ALSO INSIDE THE SINGULARITIES!

"You're that lazy?" Angra asked while munching popcorn and looking at me.

"Because I hate gacha."

Fou cards appear randomly on the map at set rates. Masters and Servants have to catch them before they despawn.

Skill upgrade quests and Noble Phantasm upgrades? All tossed into Singularities.

Alright, the most important part: Command Seals.

Since each Master has 3 Command Seals, there will definitely come a time when they burn through 2 at once.

So I created a church. That place restores health for both Master and Servant, refills Command Seals, etc.—limited to 2 visits.

And who's the one running the church to help them?

Jean-nee and me.

Because we're also inside the loop, Angra has full authority to edit anything I request.

This might sound dangerous—since not every Servant is kind-hearted. Some would betray without hesitation if they wanted.

But eh, I trust Angra enough. That idiot won't do anything stupid.

Worst case, Jean-nee will just stake him and burn him alive.

"So… I'm a Servant now? And Ruler class too?" Jalter looked down at her outfit—it was identical to the original Jeanne's but recolored.

"What? Got a problem?" I asked.

"Nah, nothing."

'Really?' I raised an eyebrow.

Jalter caught me staring and immediately got annoyed.

"Tch, fine! How do you think your big sis looks in this outfit?"

'Master! Be very careful with your words!!' Angra frantically warned. I started sweating.

If I praise it, she'll accuse me of liking the original Jeanne more. If I criticize it, she'll call me blind.

Women's minds are impossible to predict—especially someone as hot-tempered as Jean-nee.

"I still prefer your original outfit because it suit you the most and you such a beauty when wear it!"

"Oh yeah?"

Seeing Jean-nee look satisfied, I let out a huge sigh of relief while Angra gave me a thumbs-up.

"Oh Angra, do you have any outfit that would suit me?"

"Just wear priest clothes or something?"

"Normal priest outfits are boring. I want something stylish."

"Then what do you want?"

I thought for a moment and remembered a super famous anime with many parts.

Specifically… part 6.

"…You know the black priest with his gay vampire boyfriend and the gravity-related catchphrase?"

"…No way. You're actually wearing that?"

"Hehe."

Decision made.

I turned back to the screen, which was now showing the Masters officially summoning their Servants. The last one was Robert.

Alright… show me your Holy Grail War!
