Hector
Ah, a Lancer who uses a Saber weapon and deploys a Noble Phantasm like an Archer.
Honestly, he looks like some middle-aged guy with no job who's always complaining about life.
But appearances are just appearances—he's the extremely pragmatic type, perfectly willing to play dirty if it brings benefit to his Master or his allies.
Like the way he betrayed Teach
After all, he was originally part of Jason's crew. Having him as an ally is pretty solid.
But having him as an enemy? Absolute nightmare. Because he's ready to use just a "tiny" little trick to win.
No wonder he's a hero of Troy, you need at least a bit of deceit to protect the city this long, right?
Oh, and he also loves his family. Family guy is real.
"Phew, what now?" Lancer scratched his head as if the thing in front of him was the most annoying problem in his life.
"Lancer, don't you have any plan?" Archer said to him.
She might not be confident about many things, but she's good at reading people. She was certain Lancer had a plan—he just preferred keeping it to himself.
"Come on, look at that thing. It's so huge and tall it's piercing the clouds, what exactly are we supposed to do against it?"
Indeed, the Primordial Sin of Humanity: Lust had grown to an absolutely terrifying scale.
This was extremely bad, but it had been predicted. After all, every living creature needs to reproduce, and reproduction requires mating.
So it was inevitable that the sin of Lust would develop this strongly.
Is this really a beginner boss? Are they seriously not planning to let newbies clear the stage?
"So… what do we do now?" Robert asked worriedly.
After all, this was the city he lived in, too many innocent people here.
"This thing… without a doubt, it's trying to become a… BEAST," Saber said with deadly seriousness.
Immediately, both Servants' expressions turned grave.
"Huh? Beast what?" Robert was confused. Way too many things had happened on the very first day of the Holy Grail War—he was struggling just to grasp the basics.
"Master… Beasts are Servants that represent the evils of humanity. They are entities born from humanity's own love for itself. Quite ironic, isn't it…"
…what?
"Wait, so you could also become a Beast Servant?" Jalter looked toward Angra in confusion.
Well, Angra himself was born from the wish that he would bear all the evil of humanity so people could keep their goodness.
In the end, the goodness never showed up—only Angra ended up living more morally than the people who sacrificed him, even though he's supposed to be Chaotic Evil.
"Almost. A guy who was an ally of justice stopped me midway, so I didn't fully become one… Actually, I'm already a Beast, just a prototype and a really crappy one," Angra answered honestly, then muttered under his breath.
"No way! If you becomes a Beast then you're the weakest Beast Servant that ever existed!" Jalter said, casually dealing psychological damage as well.
This woman is vicious. Angra wanted to curl up with a pillow and cry.
"Beast… ah, here it is." Vincent flipped through his notebook and found the entry on Beast Servants.
Meanwhile, on the other side—
"Beast Servants are beings that choose to destroy the world in order to make it better—according to humanity's own desires," Saber explained as simply and briefly as possible.
"Huh? That kind of thing?" Robert said.
"Yeah, that kind of thing."
What the hell are these two even talking about?
"Hmm…" Archer kept glaring at Lancer, as if she genuinely believed he had a way to handle this.
Lancer, meanwhile, just looked chill and didn't say a word.
'Lancer, do it.'
'You sure? If I use it, they'll figure out how to counter us after this alliance ends.'
'Just do it. Failing here wouldn't exactly be fun either.'
'Alright then.'
Lancer spun his spear.
"Saber, are you confident you can win a one-on-one fight against that thing up there?" he asked, causing Saber to turn toward him.
"I don't know. But I definitely won't allow myself to lose."
"That's a good mentality. I'm counting on you to win this for us."
Then Lancer raised his spear. Flames immediately burst from the rear of the weapon.
"That's—?!" Both Archer and Saber looked at Lancer in shock.
Robert's eyes widened—this was the first time he had ever witnessed a Noble Phantasm!
No mistaking it, he was activating a Noble Phantasm!
"Use my weapon well, Saber."
Saber instantly understood. She leaped high into the air.
"Target locked. Position fixed. Durindana, Fulfill your duty!"
He hurled it upward. The spear rocketed forward at terrifying speed—like a missile.
Saber caught it mid-flight and soared even higher together with Lancer's weapon.
If he's not throwing a spear, then he's not Lancer.
"This… this is…" Robert still hadn't recovered from seeing Lancer unleash his Noble Phantasm.
"Oh, my back… you got a cigarette?"
"I don't smoke, sir," Robert replied respectfully.
"Ugh…"
Up above, Saber gripped Durindana tightly as they pierced through the clouds. The moon looked clearer than ever.
Then she shot past the ever-growing mass of Primordial Sin: Lust.
"Here it is."
Right at the center was a purple-pink orb with neon-like patterns drawn across it.
That was the true core form of the Great Sin of Lust.
Saber gripped the spear firmly, adjusted her aim—
and hurled it straight into the core!
BOOM!!!!
A perfect throw. Direct hit on the core. The explosion was even more violent than when Archer dropped her atomic bomb earlier.
Saber descended. She looked at the tower of flesh that had stopped growing.
The smoke gradually cleared, revealing the core heavily cracked.
"…"
Of course, this wasn't the end yet.
Because something was now emanating a very familiar—though very faint—killing intent.
"Beast…"
The core shattered, revealing a blooming flower. Inside stood a naked figure with short pink hair.
Its body was androgynous—possessing both male and female characteristics. Its face was extremely beautiful and seductive.
"Luckily it didn't manage to develop any further."
An incomplete Beast.
She planted her sword into the ground and flexed her muscles, preparing for battle.
"Asmodeus."
It spoke, then smiled at Saber.
"You're quite strict with yourself, aren't you?"
Saber paused for a moment, then glared. She drew her sword and assumed the most knightly stance possible.
Indeed, Asmodeus had seen through Saber's true nature, a being who desires love, yet whose blood is so brutal that she always devours her partners.
"As Tam Lin Gawain, knight of the fairy realm, I shall slay you to protect my Master's land."
Her body erupted in flames as hot as the sun, her eyes burning with unwavering resolve.
