Jacob continued, "Kay was leaning against a wall in the alley. I walked up behind him and asked if he was ok. The moment I put my hand on his shoulder he spun around like I'd stung him. He stared at me for a second, his eyes kept struggling to focus on me."
"All of a sudden he tried to wrap his arms around me. I held out a hand and shoved him off. I sorta yelled at him. I mean he'd lunged towards me, lips puckered. I asked what he was doing and he got this confused look."
"He said something like 'you're not' but never actually said who I was like. THEN he had the gall to be mad at me! Like dude I was just trying to help you."
Jacob didn't actually seem that upset. If anything he looked thrilled. He watched me carefully the whole time he told the story, eyes sharp to notice my tiniest reactions.
