Chapter 33 - choas

Chapter: Absolute Chaos

(Jay's POV)

The mansion had finally started to calm down.

After all the teasing, laughing, and Aries' endless dramatic reactions, everyone slowly moved to different parts of the house.

Serina and Kaizer went back to the living room.

Percy followed them because apparently he wanted to hear "childhood stories about Keifer embarrassing himself."

Aries stayed behind for a while, still shaking his head like he had just witnessed something unbelievable.

"You two seriously wasted five years."

I crossed my arms.

"Aries."

"Yes?"

"Leave."

He grinned.

"Okay, okay."

But before leaving he pointed at Keifer.

"If you hurt her again—"

Keifer sighed.

"Yes, yes. You'll kill me."

"Correct."

Then Aries finally walked out.

The hallway became quiet again.

I leaned against the wall and looked at Keifer.

For a moment we just stared at each other.

Five years.

Five years without seeing him like this.

Without standing this close.

Without hearing his quiet breathing.

Without feeling the way his presence filled the space around me.

It felt unreal.

Keifer suddenly smiled slightly.

"What?"

I frowned.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Like what?"

"Like you're checking if I'm real."

He stepped closer.

"Because I am."

My heart skipped a beat.

Before I could say anything, he gently grabbed my hand.

"Come with me."

"Where?"

"You'll see."

He led me upstairs.

My heart was beating faster with every step.

We reached a door at the end of the hallway.

He opened it.

His room.

Of course.

The room was large but surprisingly simple.

Dark furniture.

Bookshelves.

A large window overlooking the gardens.

And a familiar scent that instantly made my chest tighten.

I stepped inside slowly.

"You haven't changed it."

He leaned against the door.

"No reason to."

I turned around to look at him.

"You really are stubborn."

"You already knew that."

We both laughed softly.

Then suddenly—

The laughter faded.

The air between us changed.

Something deeper.

Something heavier.

He walked toward me slowly.

My heart started beating faster again.

When he stopped in front of me, we were only inches apart.

"Jay."

My name sounded different when he said it.

Softer.

Warmer.

I looked up at him.

"What?"

"You're really here."

"Yes."

"And you're really not leaving?"

"No."

Something in his eyes softened even more.

Then suddenly—

He kissed me.

This kiss was different from the one earlier.

Not desperate.

Not chaotic.

Slow.

Gentle.

His hand rested on my waist while the other gently held my face.

My fingers curled into his shirt.

Five years of distance melted away in that single moment.

The kiss deepened slowly.

I stepped closer to him without realizing it.

His arms wrapped around me.

Pulling me against him.

I could hear his heartbeat again.

Strong.

Fast.

Just like mine.

Neither of us noticed what was happening downstairs.

Downstairs

Aries had just sat down on the couch with his phone.

Suddenly it started ringing.

Keigan and Keiran.

Aries answered immediately.

The screen filled with the chaotic faces of the two younger brothers calling from London.

"ARIES!"

"Why did you call earlier and hang up?!"

"Did something happen?!"

Aries grinned.

"Oh something definitely happened."

Both brothers leaned closer to the screen.

"What?"

Aries lowered his voice dramatically.

"You're not going to believe this."

"What?!"

Aries slowly turned the camera around.

He quietly walked upstairs.

Keigan frowned.

"Where are you going?"

"Investigation."

Keiran narrowed his eyes.

"Aries…"

But Aries ignored them and reached the hallway.

He slowly pushed open Keifer's door.

And immediately froze.

Inside the room—

Keifer had me pressed gently against the wall.

And we were very clearly kissing.

Not just kissing.

Lip locked.

Deep.

Completely lost in each other.

Aries slowly turned the phone camera toward the scene.

Keigan's eyes widened.

"WAIT—"

Keiran screamed.

"IS THAT JAY?!"

Aries whispered dramatically.

"Oh yes."

Keigan started yelling.

"WHAT THE HELL?!"

Keiran shouted even louder.

"HIPANG JAY IS BACK?!"

The shouting finally reached our ears.

Keifer immediately stopped kissing me.

"What the—"

We both turned toward the door.

And saw Aries standing there.

Holding his phone.

Grinning like an idiot.

My eyes widened.

"ARIES!"

On the phone screen—

Keigan and Keiran were practically screaming.

"HIPANG JAY!!!"

"YOU'RE BACK?!"

"WHY ARE YOU KISSING OUR BROTHER?!"

I covered my face instantly.

"Oh my god."

Keifer groaned.

"Aries…"

Aries laughed loudly.

"What?! They deserved to know!"

Keigan shouted through the phone.

"YOU TWO ARE TOGETHER AGAIN?!"

Keiran added dramatically,

"OUR FAMILY IS HEALED!"

Downstairs—

Serina suddenly heard the shouting.

She looked up from her tea.

"Oh dear."

Kaizer sighed.

"They found out."

Back upstairs—

Keigan was still yelling.

"SHOW US AGAIN!"

Keiran nodded.

"Yes, kiss again!"

I threw a pillow at Aries.

"GET OUT!"

Aries ran down the hallway laughing.

"I'M SENDING THIS TO THE FAMILY GROUP CHAT!"

Keifer buried his face in his hands.

"…this is the most chaotic day of my life."

I groaned.

"Your brothers just watched us kiss."

He looked at me again.

Then suddenly smiled.

"Worth it."

My face turned red instantly.

"Mark Keifer Watson!"

He pulled me closer again.

"What?"

And despite the chaos outside the room…

I couldn't stop smiling.
