The doctor rose, "I have completed my examination," he declared. "Your mother has a cold, and some body weakness that is a result of over exerting her body. From what she has said, she works two manual jobs on two different farms."
Sienna nodded, pretending that she could not see the look of judgement in the eyes of the doctor. It was easy to guess what he was wondering. It was how a woman like Sienna could have money and yet her mother was working two jobs to the point of draining her body. From the way Mrs. Miller and Soren were dressed, they were not high paying jobs.
Mrs. Miller also saw the look. Softly, she said, "I can't stay still. Work helps me pass time." she coughed. "And I have friends on the farms too. It is more entertaining to work with them all day than go home."
