Chapter 63 - The Stolen Truth

The night over Hastinapur felt… different.

Not quiet.

Not peaceful.

But watching.

Inside the royal archive chamber, the broken shelves had been partially restored.

Torches burned along the walls.

Guards stood at every entrance.

No one entered without permission.

At the center—

Krishna stood beside a long stone table.

Scrolls had been carefully arranged.

Recovered.

Sorted.

Studied.

Across from him—

Karna

Arjuna

Duryodhana

And a few trusted elders.

Krishna finally spoke.

"They were not searching randomly."

Arjuna crossed his arms.

"They went straight to restricted sections."

Karna added calmly—

"Which means they knew exactly what to take."

Krishna nodded.

"Yes."

A pause.

Then—

He unrolled a scroll.

"Lineage records of royal bloodlines."

Silence.

Duryodhana frowned.

"That doesn't win wars."

Krishna looked at him.

"No."

A faint smile.

"It starts them."

Krishna pointed at several marked sections.

"These records track…"

Royal heirs

Hidden claims

Bloodline legitimacy

Marriage alliances

Arjuna's eyes narrowed.

"They're looking for weaknesses."

Krishna shook his head slightly.

"Not just weaknesses."

A pause.

"Opportunities."

Karna stepped forward.

"How?"

Krishna looked directly at him.

"If you can prove someone has no rightful claim…"

Another pause.

"You can take their throne without war."

The meaning sank in.

Duryodhana's expression hardened.

"They plan to destabilize kingdoms."

Krishna nodded.

"Yes."

Then his tone shifted slightly.

"And one more thing…"

He picked up another scroll.

This one—

Older.

Sealed.

"Their primary target wasn't Hastinapur."

Silence.

Arjuna spoke first.

"Then what was?"

Krishna turned the scroll slightly.

"Panchal Kingdom."

The name changed the atmosphere instantly.

Duryodhana frowned.

"Why Panchal?"

Arjuna answered before Krishna could.

"Because of its power."

Krishna added—

"And its future."

Karna's gaze sharpened.

"What do you mean?"

Krishna's smile returned.

But this time—

It held something deeper.

"Because something important is about to happen there."

A pause.

"A gathering."

Arjuna's eyes widened slightly.

Realization.

"The Draupadi Swayamvara…"

Silence filled the chamber.

Duryodhana exhaled slowly.

"So that's their play…"

Krishna nodded.

"Yes."

"Kings from across Aryavarta will gather."

"A perfect place…"

"To manipulate power."

Vrindavana stepped forward.

"They could influence alliances."

Asha added—

"Or eliminate targets."

Karna spoke calmly—

"Or create conflict."

Krishna smiled.

"All three."

A pause.

"They are not preparing for one outcome…"

"They are preparing for every outcome."

Arjuna looked toward Karna.

"For once…"

A slight edge in his voice.

"We're walking into the same battlefield."

Karna met his gaze.

Unshaken.

"I don't walk anyone's path."

A brief silence.

Krishna stepped between them.

Still smiling.

"But destiny does."

Duryodhana turned toward Karna.

"You're thinking of going."

Karna didn't hesitate.

"Yes."

Vrindavana stepped beside him.

"Then we go prepared."

Asha smirked slightly.

"Finally… something interesting."

Arjuna spoke next.

"We will be there too."

The tension sharpened again.

Two forces.

One destination.

Krishna watched them both.

Eyes thoughtful.

Calculating.

"Good."

A pause.

"Because what happens in Panchal…"

His voice lowered slightly.

"…will shape everything that follows."

Elsewhere – Shadows Move

Far from Hastinapur—

In darkness—

The stolen scroll lay open.

A finger traced along a name.

Then stopped.

A quiet voice spoke—

"So… this is where the thread begins."

Another asked—

"And the girl?"

The answer came cold.

"She is the key."

The scroll closed.

"Prepare Panchal."

Back in Hastinapur

The meeting had ended.

Plans were already forming.

Movements being arranged.

Karna stood alone once more.

Near the palace courtyard.

Above him—

The sun had begun to rise again.

A new path.

A new battlefield.

Not of war alone—

But of fate.

Behind him—

Krishna's voice came softly.

"Be careful in Panchal."

Karna didn't turn.

"Why?"

Krishna's smile returned.

"Because not every battle is won with strength."

A pause.

"And not every victory belongs to the strongest."

Karna's grip tightened slightly.

"Then I'll take both."

Krishna chuckled softly.

"I expected nothing less."

The Path Ahead

The roads were already being prepared.

Messengers sent.

Chariots readied.

Because soon—

Kings would gather.

Warriors would compete.

Destinies would collide.

And at the center of it all—

Draupadi.

The woman who would shape empires.

And this time—

The Sun would be there.
