Chapter 61 - The Same Dream, Two Minds

Mira stared at her phone.

Her heartbeat refused to slow down.

"Did you dream about me?"

Her fingers hovered above the screen.

Frozen.

Because how could he know?

Her throat felt dry.

Slowly, she typed.

"Why would you ask that?"

The typing dots appeared instantly.

"Because I think I did."

Her heart dropped.

A strange silence filled her room.

Her mind replayed everything again.

The street.

The wind.

The way he looked at her.

"That… wasn't just my dream," she whispered.

Her hands trembled as she typed again.

"What did you see?"

This time, his reply didn't come immediately.

Seconds passed.

Then—

"A narrow street."

Mira's breath stopped.

Another message.

"Old buildings."

Her chest tightened.

"You were standing there."

Her fingers went cold.

And then—

"Wearing a long dress."

Mira dropped her phone on the bed.

"This is not possible…" she whispered.

Her heart was racing now.

Louder.

Faster.

Because everything he said—

Was exactly what she saw.

She picked up the phone again.

Her hands shaking.

"Did you talk to me?"

The reply came.

"Yes."

Her breath became uneven.

"What did I say?"

A pause.

Then—

"You asked how I was there."

Mira's eyes widened.

Another message appeared.

"And I told you… you were late."

Her heart skipped.

Because that was exactly what happened.

Her chest rose and fell quickly.

"Same words… same moment…" she whispered.

Her fingers moved again.

"What else?"

The typing dots stayed longer this time.

Then his message came.

"I told you I was waiting for you."

Mira closed her eyes.

She could hear it again.

Feel it again.

That moment.

That feeling.

And then—

His next message appeared.

"You asked if it was a dream."

Her breath caught.

Because she remembered that.

And then—

Another message.

"I told you it wasn't."

Her heart started pounding again.

"I said it was a memory."

Mira froze completely.

Her phone slipped slightly in her hand.

Because that—

That was the exact line.

Not similar.

Not close.

The same.

Her voice came out as a whisper.

"This… is real."

Her fingers moved slowly.

"How is this possible?"

This time—

There was no immediate reply.

Seconds turned into a long silence.

Then finally—

"I don't know."

Another message followed.

"But this isn't normal."

Mira let out a soft, nervous breath.

"No… it's not," she whispered.

Her eyes slowly moved to the notebook again.

The drawing.

The rooftop.

The words.

Everything felt connected now.

Too connected.

Her fingers typed again.

"You said something else."

The typing dots appeared.

"What?"

Mira swallowed.

"You said I always forget."

There was a pause.

Longer than before.

Then his reply came.

"Yes."

Her heart tightened.

"Why did you say that?"

Silence.

The typing dots appeared.

Stopped.

Appeared again.

Finally—

"Because it felt true."

Mira's brows furrowed.

"Felt?"

Another message appeared.

"Like I've said it before."

Her heart skipped again.

Because she felt the same.

That entire "dream" didn't feel new.

It felt like remembering something.

Not imagining it.

Her fingers moved again.

"Then what if…"

She paused.

Her chest tightened.

Then she continued.

"…we've had this dream before too?"

The typing dots appeared instantly.

Then stopped.

Then—

"You mean… more than once?"

Mira looked at the ceiling.

Her mind spinning.

"Yes…" she whispered softly.

Then typed it.

"Yes."

A long silence followed.

But this time—

It didn't feel empty.

It felt heavy.

Like something important was about to be uncovered.

Then his message came.

"Mira."

"Yes?"

A pause.

Then—

"What if this isn't a dream at all?"

Her heart stopped.

Her fingers tightened around the phone.

"Then what is it?"

His reply came.

Slow.

Careful.

"What if these are memories we're not supposed to remember?"

Mira felt chills run down her spine.

Because that explained everything.

The familiarity.

The connection.

The repeated feelings.

Even before they met again.

Her voice was barely a whisper now.

"Then how many…?" she murmured.

Her fingers typed the question.

"How many memories do you think we've forgotten?"

This time—

His reply came almost instantly.

"I don't know."

A pause.

Then—

"But I think we're starting to remember."

Mira's heart beat slowly now.

Deep.

Heavy.

Because something inside her knew—

This was just the beginning.

Her phone buzzed again.

Another message.

"Mira."

"Yes?"

His next words made her freeze.

"What if the next time we meet… we remember everything?"

Silence filled the room.

Because that thought—

Was both beautiful…

And terrifying.
