I felt like my life was about to get complicated.
I didn't know why… but something in my heart felt uneasy.
Still, I shook it off and focused on my work at Watson Enterprises.
I was carrying some files when I suddenly saw him.
Kaiser Watson.
He was standing near the glass window, looking outside. His presence alone made the whole place feel cold.
Everyone feared him.
Even the staff avoided walking near him.
I lowered my gaze and tried to walk past quietly—
But suddenly, I heard something fall.
I turned back.
A cup had slipped, and I saw a small cut on his hand.
Without thinking, I walked toward him.
"Wait… your hand is bleeding," I said softly.
He looked at me.
Not angry.
Just… surprised.
I took a tissue and gently held his hand.
"You should be careful," I said, cleaning the cut.
He didn't pull away.
That alone felt strange.
"It's not deep," I said. "But you should still take care of it."
He kept staring at me.
"Why did you help me?" he asked.
I blinked.
"Because you're hurt?" I said simply.
He frowned slightly.
"People usually stay away from me."
I smiled a little.
"Maybe they're scared."
"And you're not?" he asked.
I shook my head.
"No."
For a moment… everything went quiet.
Then suddenly—
"Jay!"
I turned.
Kieran came running toward me, followed by Kyla and Keegan.
Are you okay?" Kyla asked, holding my arm.
"I'm fine," I smiled.
Kieran looked at Kaiser, then at me.
"Did he say anything to you?" he asked protectively.
Kaiser's expression darkened slightly.
"I don't need to say anything," he said coldly.
"Relax, she helped him," Keegan said calmly, observing everything.
I looked between them.
There was tension.
Heavy tension.
Kyla smiled softly. "Jay is kind. That's why everyone likes her."
For a moment… I felt something strange.
Like I was being pulled into something bigger.
Something dangerous.
Kaiser's POV
She touched my hand.
Without fear.
Without hesitation.
No one does that.
No one dares.
Yet she did it like it was… normal.
"Jay…" I said her name quietly.
She looked at me.
"Yes?"
"Stay like this," I said.
She frowned slightly. "Like what?"
"Kind."
She smiled.
And for a second…
Everything felt different.

I stood in my office, thinking about her.
Jay.
Simple. Soft. Real.
Everything this world is not.
A knock came.
"Come in," I said.
Kiefer walked in.
Our eyes met.
"You talked to her," he said.
Not a question.
A statement.
"Yes," I replied.
Silence.
"She's not someone for this world," I added.
Kiefer's jaw tightened.
"She's mine," he said.
Something about his tone…
Possessive.
Dangerous.
I stepped closer.
"Then protect her," I said.
"Because if you don't…"
I paused.
"I will."

Keegan quietly observed her, but trusted her.

He started protecting her silently.
But not everyone was happy.
Serena Watson.
From the shadows… she watched everything.
Her eyes filled with hatred.
