"RAHHH, I can't believe this! I'll have to wait here whole you go and have all the fun!"
Sunny sighs
"Thats just how the cookie crumbles i guess"
I could go for a cookie, no maybe a good bowl of pasta.

I flop down on my chair annoyed, I can't believe that I can't I have to stay here while sunny goes and gets Kai and Effie.
"Well its your day to watch the walls so it doesn't matter much now does it."
I tap my foot.
"Just go so I can rant by myself"
I wave him off leaning back. He sighs and jumps off the walls. I take out a deck of cards and I start playing with singer again.
Me and Singer try to make a card tower when I recognize a set of 3 heat signatures. I peak over the edge seeing Kai Effie and sunny. I stand up on the railing
"Hey guys!"
I wave at them, I then jump off at them. I land on Kai, i look down at him i step off
"Pfft"
"Ow..."
He slowly gets up as Effie starts laughing. Sunny sighs
"I guess I should have mentioned that."
I start trying not to cracking up. Kai cleans himself off
"That was sure unexpected."
I laugh as I pat him on the shoulder
"Sorry man, I thought you'd move out of the way"
Singer floats down
"Oh is that your new echo? I've seen some videos of it but they weren't very good"
Singer tilts her head
"Hello nightngale"
He jumps a bit
"Oh it can talk... its not a human echo right?"
I look over annoyed
"Of course not! She's a wrath. Obviously"
I eat slowly, or slower than normal at least. It's definitely a time. I mean sitting with saint white feather and master R is definitely a thing to do.
"I saw that forgotten shore movie, I think it was quite good."
I nod
"I think it was very funny."
He gets a little confused
"It seemed pretty serious"
I look up
"Yeah but its was there."
He thinks for a moment then nods getting a humorous smile
"Oh I get it, is it because of how inaccurate it is?"
I shake my head
"Nah, the characters are just accurate enough for me to see them in the characters but just inaccurate enough to be really really funny"
Sunny gets a annoyed look
"Yes like the love triangle"
I crack up Effie pats him on the back
"Its okay he didn't like her, you had a chance"
Kai almost chokes on his food.
"Nah nah, she clearly took after her mother, going after a nobody"
Master R clears his throat
"Well I'm sure you have a chance awakened sunless"
"That is not how you peel a potato"
The child looks over annoyed
"Oh how about you do it then"
Sunny shakes his head
"Their not allowed to help cook, I think even mimic meat tastes better then what they make, it had a better texture too."
I crunch on another chip
"Is it done yet?"
"You asked that 4 minutes ago Effie"
Sunny seems quite exasperated with Effie at this point. There's a knock at the door, sunny gets the look again
"I wounder who that could be, rain why don't you go find out"
She gets annoyed and grumbles to herself as she goes to open it. Oh it's Kai at the door.
"Hey Kai! Yeah your at the right house come on in"
I walk over with sunny.
"This is rain a kid I've been teaching"
Oh didn't sunny mention getting Kai to teach her archery
"Oh yeah, Kai maybe you could teach the child how to shoot a bow?"
He nods with a smile
"Well thats just fine with me"
The child seems almost sickly for some reason. I pat her on the back and she jumps. Slowly looking over at me with a look that's closest to someone who just witnessed the horrors. Kai isn't ugly, what's her problem?
I go back to my folding chair as Cassie gets here. I haven't actually seen her since the academy. It feels almost odd. I notice the child looking at me then at Effie then back. I pat her on the shoulder and she just stares at me
"Oh god your...."
Sunny gets that look again
"Yeah thats Heat Seeker"
huh.
"You didn't tell her?"
He looks at me with a fake innocent expression
"Oh no it didn't? Why would I? I'm not you, isn't that your job?"
I slowly blink at him. No, he didn't think that and we both know it.
"I, you, I said, oh god."
Sunny looks over at her with annoyance frown and he nudges her
"Hey about those potatoes"
She looks over at him
"I uh have to go, I have uh homework...."
I shrug and I walk over to Kai, Cassie, Effie.
Soon we sit down to eat and talk about getting stronger and all that. Then the weirdness of the night temple. Which, it seems very weird. 100 lost and human echos.... as well as a whole saint and 2 masters. That seems well ominous, if not not down right sinister.
"I have a few ideas. It could be used for human or nightmare creature testing. My first theory also stands, it could be some kind of prison. My theory is prince. His aspect as a awakened was able to get into the bottom of the sky below and to the ivory tower. The fact alone he was able to do that shows that his aspect is incredibly strong. Although the human testing theory could also work for the idea he is trapped in the night temple. There's also it being a secret military base, but that's unlikely."
Sunny turns to me surprised
"Thats a weirdly logical argument."
Yeah, I used logic to get there
"Of course it is. I used logic and evidence to get there. Now as for why the lost and human echos, maybe they don't want whatever is in there to get out, maybe it's knowledge about what's there or maybe a body snatcher kind of thing"
Effie grins
"Oh i see your using the ideas from that movie"
I nod
"Yup movies logic may not be the best but its still a form of logic."
Kai smiles
"That was pretty smart you know"
"Is the stuff I normally say not smart?"
They all go silent
"not to be mean but yes. You tend to be obvious"
I look at Effie with quite a bit offense
"That's because I don't look into things, not because I'm stupid."
I walk over to Sunny.
"Hey could you go to the store for me?"
He looks up annoyed
"I could"
"I'll pay you for it"
Now he seems interested. I take out a long list, snacks, a few board games, cooking stuff for other people to use, really all useful items.
"Weird list"
I shake my head
"I'm going with you two to the night temple and we may not be able to come back before the second nightmare."
"So you want luxuries?"
I nod
"It's pretty reasonable to me. Maybe you should get some of the stuff there too."
He stares then nods
"Yeah I'll get some of this for myself. So why are you coming to the night temple anyways?"
"Oh because of prince, he's likely there and he did save us so, I'd like to know how the guy is doing and help him out if he's in trouble."
"Didn't you say....?"
I wave him off
"Yes, to be fair there's a chance he's a dangerous individual but there's a chance he's not and he helped us out. We haven't heard from him in so long, I'm worried. Isn't that human?"
He sighs
"i guess it is"
I pack up my stuff. I'll be going to the dream realm then the second nightmare soon. I look closer at my tools, they look used. I should ask someone who these used to belong to.
Maybe they already told me and I hadn't been listening. Maybe I am a asshole and a little spiteful.... eh who cares, I sure don't! I flip through my book, I don't have the space to make a full PTV here but i will have the space once I go into the dream realm.
Thats cool, maybe I'll be able to ride soon enough, being the only person in the dream realm to have a PTV seems like the coolest thing ever. I grab and look over one of the swords i made, it was from a fallen monster me and sunny killed.
I put it in its sheath and I get up. I remember the house the child had mentioned living at and I knock. A woman opens the door
"Oh hello"
"Uh hi, I'm one of the awakened teachers your daughter hired, I live just down the street I have something for her"
She looks me over with a confused expression
"Oh? What is it?"
I show her the sword i made
"A sword."
I see the child come around the corner giving me a dear in headlights look
"Hey kiddo I have a cool gift for you"
The woman smiles as she takes it
"It was very nice of you to give her a gift thank you"
I wave my hand
"No need to thank me. It was something I made some time ago and it wouldn't have gone to use if I didn't. It should be able to cut even awakened nightmare creatures, I made it out of a fallen one. Oh it's also pretty sharp so do remember that kid. Don't cut yourself"
I walk away, I think I hear the kid say something about something being true. Weird.
Soon me and sunny go into the dream realm. I ride on top of flame laying on top of it. Now that i think about it, flame is a lot bigger then when it started out. It's a devil after all. I've never properly used its fire powers yet. I totally should,
"Hey guys I want to test out flame. Yall good with that?"
"Yall? Are you a cowboy?"
I make and start poking sunny's face with a ice stick.
"Thats just fine with me."
"Cool"
I make flame move to the closest pack of creatures.
"Okay fire this time"
Flame huffs and in the middle of the small pack a ice shard appears and it explodes into a torrent of flames.
"Oh ho ho now this going to be good, now how about you try to do a delayed version."
The same thing happens this time the explosion happens a little later.
"Now isn't that cool!
I catch up to Sunny and Cassie, the two don't really seem too keen on talking to eachother that's fine. I get to study and the like all I want. I finally decide to put my effort to the test. I make a ice PTV, a cool one too, heh, kinda like a bike. Forgot the name, again. I try to make it move at least slowly and it works, not well but it works!
"Ehehh"
I giggle to myself as I slowly roll around. I notice sunny looking at me confused, I look down then back up with a grin
"look, I made a PTV!"
I keep slowly rolling around as I hear sunny cracking up.
I start fiddling with flames armor. To make them better of course.
"I'd love to know.... a little more about how you work."
I look up at Cassie.
"If it's about what I thought of the night temple it's just i have intelligence but not wisdom."
I go back to my careful tinkering
"What's the difference in your eyes?"
"Intelligence is knowing sticking your hand in a blender is a bad idea, wisdom is to not do it even if double dog dared."
She nods
"Tes, you do seem like that type."
"So you can fly now too."
Cassie nods
"yes I can fly now for short amounts of time. I heard that you also gained the ability to somewhat fly"
I sigh
"Yeah but I can't hover and it takes a ton of essence"
"oh that does seem like a issue"
I land on the next island holding onto singer Sunny and Cassie soon get to the island as well, the hollow mountains, I can see them in the distance. How..... nostalgic. I elbow sunny
"Stop staring let's go already."
We start walking again. Singer floats over
"The night temple already"
I nod, wait when did I tell her where we are going? I probably forgot or something.
"You should get a better night vision memory"
I stop staring at the text.
"Why?"
She looks over no text appears for a few seconds
"the one you have now isn't very good and it's far too fragile"
I nod
"okay then.... I guess"
I desummon her, I really don't like it when she says weird stuff randomly. She hasn't done me wrong with them but still, its weird.
I finally see it
"it's the night temple finally!"
Goodness this journey has been annoying. I doubt much will actually happen, I mean i was only thinking of worst case situations before.
"Well that was... easy"
I lean on sunny
"lighten up. We will probably be fine. Unless that luck of yours strikes again"
Yeah. I may be paranoid a little but I'm really quite sure there is nothing we can't deal with! I glance at Cassie
