Ananya's POV
"Aarushi!"
Ananya dropped to her knees beside her.
Aarushi lay on the road, completely still.
Blood stained the sleeve of her shirt.
Her leg looked wrong.
Bent in a way legs weren't supposed to bend.
Ananya's hands began shaking.
"No... no... no..."
The biker had already disappeared into the darkness.
He didn't even stop.
Ananya pulled out her phone with trembling fingers.
She couldn't think clearly.
Only one name appeared in her mind.
Kiara.
The phone rang.
When Kiara answered, Ananya could barely speak.
"Akka... Aarushi... accident... hospital..."
People began gathering around them.
Someone called an ambulance.
Minutes later the flashing red lights arrived.
Paramedics rushed toward Aarushi.
"She's breathing," one of them said.
Ananya felt tears streaming down her face.
As the ambulance doors closed, she whispered quietly:
"Please be okay."
Because if something happened to Aarushi...
Kiara would be destroyed and destroy the world.
As the ambulance doors slammed shut, Ananya realized something chilling.
The biker hadn't stayed to help.
He had disappeared.
Like someone who never wanted to be found.
