Chapter 17 - CHAPTER 17- Threads

Kiara's POV

The board stared back at her like a puzzle daring to be solved.

Kiara leaned against the balcony railing, arms folded, studying the red strings stretched across the wooden surface.

Rajveer.

Aarushi's accident.

The biker.

Vishwa.

Four pieces.

Four mysteries.

Yet something told her they weren't separate.

Mahati stepped out onto the balcony carrying two cups of coffee.

"You've been staring at that board for twenty minutes," she said, handing one to Kiara.

Kiara didn't move.

"I feel like something is missing."

Mahati glanced at the board.

"That's because we barely have any information."

Kiara sighed.

Maybe she was expecting answers too fast.

Her eyes drifted to the word BIKER written in thick black marker.

Aarushi's voice echoed in her mind.

I've seen those eyes before.

Kiara shook her head.

"No."

Mahati raised an eyebrow.

"No what?"

"That memory Aarushi mentioned."

Mahati leaned against the wall.

"You don't believe her."

Kiara finally looked at her.

"She just woke up after a concussion."

Mahati shrugged.

"Still worth considering."

Kiara turned back to the board.

Slowly, reluctantly, she picked up the marker.

"What are you doing?" Mahati asked.

Kiara hesitated.

Then she wrote something under BIKER.

CHILDHOOD?

Mahati smirked.

"So you do believe her."

Kiara sighed.

"I believe in possibilities."

Mahati stepped closer to the board.

"You know what bothers me?"

"What?"

Mahati pointed to VISHWA.

"If he wanted to stay hidden, he wouldn't message us."

Kiara frowned.

"That's what I've been thinking."

Mahati continued.

"He's either warning us… or guiding us."

Kiara stared at the name.

Vishwa.

The invisible hacker who appeared and disappeared like a shadow.

"What if he's testing us?" Kiara said quietly.

Mahati tilted her head.

"Testing?"

"To see how far we'll go."

Mahati chuckled.

"Well, congratulations. We've officially entered a psychological chess match."

A breeze rustled the papers on the board.

Kiara's eyes slowly scanned the connections again.

Then suddenly—

Something clicked.

Her gaze stopped on her father's photo.

Rajveer.

If Aarushi's memory was real…

If the biker had known them as children…

Then maybe the connection didn't start with the accident.

Maybe it started with their father.

Kiara stepped closer to the board.

Mahati noticed the change in her expression.

"What?"

Kiara whispered something almost to herself.

"What if this isn't about us?"

Mahati frowned.

"Then who?"

Kiara looked directly at Rajveer's photo.

"What if someone from our father's past just came back?"

Mahati's eyes widened slightly.

The idea hung in the air like a dark cloud.

Because if Kiara was right…

Then whoever was behind the accident had been watching their family for years.

Later that night, Aarushi finally remembers something else about the boy with those familiar eyes…

And the name she whispers next will shock Kiara completely.
