Mahati's POV
Mahati had never been inside Kiara's basement before.
Now she wished it had stayed that way.
The room was dim.
Concrete walls.
A single light bulb hanging above the chair.
And tied to that chair…
The biker.
Blood trickled down his forehead.
Mahati turned to Kiara.
"Kiara… this is too far."
Kiara didn't look at her.
Her eyes were locked on the man in the chair.
"Who sent you?" Kiara asked quietly.
The biker laughed weakly.
"You're crazy."
The sound echoed in the room.
Kiara picked up the metal bat.
Mahati stepped forward.
"Kiara—"
The crack of the bat against the chair silenced the room.
Mahati froze.
She had never seen Kiara like this.
Cold.
Controlled.
Terrifying.
Kiara leaned closer to the biker.
"Last chance."
The man spat blood.
"I don't know anything."
Another swing.
Mahati felt her stomach twist.
"Kiara stop!"
But Kiara didn't stop.
Minutes later the biker finally broke.
"Vishwa!" he gasped.
Mahati's eyes widened.
Kiara went still.
"Say that again."
"He sent me," the biker whispered.
Silence filled the basement.
Then Kiara's phone rang.
Kiara slowly picked up the phone.
And the voice on the other side said only one word.
"Kiara."
