Whoosh!
Icy blue streaks flashed across the starry sky, each trail marking the path of freezing rays slicing through space. Wherever those beams passed, Kree warships were torn apart instantly.
Explosions bloomed everywhere.
Entire vessels shattered before they could even maneuver, their hulls collapsing under the devastating energy. Burning fragments drifted across the battlefield like shattered meteors.
The fight had become a one-sided massacre.
Ethan Drake showed no mercy. If kryptonite immunity had not existed within his abilities, the outcome today might have been very different.
Because of that possibility, he felt no hesitation at all.
An eye for an eye.
A strike for a strike.
The Kree had come intending to annihilate Krypton. Ethan had no intention of sparing them now that the tables had turned.
His body surged through space like a living weapon, every movement unleashing overwhelming destructive force.
Then suddenly—
He stopped.
His gaze shifted toward a figure approaching rapidly from the distance.
A slender black silhouette cut through space with astonishing speed.
Faora.
The Kryptonian commander was soaring through the battlefield, her elegant figure moving with lethal precision.
"Interesting," Ethan murmured quietly.
As one of General Zod's former elite warriors, Faora's combat strength had always ranked among the best of Krypton's soldiers.
Her slender arms looked delicate at first glance, yet the strength contained within them was monstrous.
With a single swipe of her hand, she tore open the armored plating of a nearby Kree warship.
The metal hull split apart like paper.
Faora slipped inside the damaged vessel without slowing down. Moments later the sounds of battle echoed from within the ship.
The struggle lasted only seconds.
Then—
Boom.
The internal energy engine detonated.
The massive warship went dark and began drifting lifelessly through the void.
"You're taking quite a risk."
The sudden voice startled her slightly.
Faora turned sharply, her instincts immediately raising her guard. But the moment she recognized the speaker, the tension disappeared from her posture.
"Your Majesty."
She lowered her head respectfully.
"I've survived much more dangerous situations. Compared to those battles, this is nothing but a pack of drowning dogs."
She paused briefly before adding calmly, "Besides, how could I allow Your Majesty to fight alone on the front line?"
"Your Majesty!"
Several more figures arrived at that moment.
A group of Kryptonian warriors wearing individual combat suits flew toward Ethan and saluted respectfully.
They were members of the Aquarius crew.
After the reconnaissance vessel made its emergency landing on the planet, these soldiers had wasted no time launching themselves back into space. None of them were willing to remain behind while their emperor fought alone.
"Good," Ethan said with a faint nod.
If Krypton was ever to rise again, he could not do everything himself. A true empire required loyal warriors capable of fighting alongside him.
Building a capable team was essential.
"Listen carefully."
Ethan raised one hand and pointed toward a nearby region of space.
"All enemies within that sector are yours. None of them are allowed to escape."
His voice grew colder.
"If even one of them gets away, you will answer for it."
"Yes, Your Majesty!"
The Kryptonian warriors immediately shot forward without hesitation.
In that area of the battlefield, two damaged warships and dozens of Kree soldiers were still struggling to regroup.
Ethan knew exactly how capable his warriors were.
These former soldiers of General Zod possessed immense physical strength. Even the weakest among them could easily lift vehicles weighing several tons.
Against ordinary Kree soldiers, they held a clear advantage.
Once he assigned them their mission, Ethan turned his attention elsewhere.
His own task was simple.
Destroy every remaining warship in the surrounding star field.
Seventeen vessels still floated within range.
And along with them—
Every surviving Kree soldier.
Whoosh!
Ethan's eyes flashed with icy blue light once again. Freezing beams erupted from his pupils, transforming into thick lances of energy that tore through the void.
One ship after another exploded under the attack.
Suddenly—
A powerful gust of air rushed toward him.
Among the scattered Kree soldiers retreating across the battlefield, one figure was actually moving against the flow.
Instead of fleeing, he charged straight toward Ethan.
The warrior wore a heavy combat suit and carried a massive hammer.
"Interesting," Ethan said softly.
He stopped the freezing ray and casually swung his arm.
The incoming hammer strike was knocked aside with ease.
The weapon spun through space before returning to its owner's hand.
Ethan studied the blue-skinned figure in front of him carefully.
"Hmm… you look familiar."
Recognition flashed in his eyes.
"Ronan the Accuser. So it's you."
The tall alien possessed the unmistakable features of a Kree warrior.
Ethan couldn't help remembering the infamous figure from stories he once knew—a ruthless fanatic who had been humiliated by an unlikely distraction.
The memory almost made him laugh.
"Bastard! What are you laughing at?"
Ronan's voice exploded with fury.
He assumed Ethan was mocking his current defeat, and the humiliation burned through him like acid.
In truth, Ethan had indeed found the situation amusing.
But he had no interest in explaining that.
Instead, his expression slowly turned cold.
"So you're the one who ordered the attack on Krypton."
A chilling killing intent appeared in his eyes.
"You could say that," Ronan snarled.
His voice was filled with hatred.
"After all, you destroyed our fleet. Our two races were already enemies long before this battle."
He raised his hammer again.
"Don't think the remnants of Krypton will live peacefully. Your extinction is inevitable."
The moment his words ended, Ronan thrust out his arm.
The massive hammer flew from his hand before instantly returning to his grasp.
Then he accelerated.
His armored body shot forward like a cannonball.
At the same time, he swung the hammer down with terrifying force, channeling powerful cosmic energy through the weapon as it crashed toward Ethan.
Hum!
The strike carried tremendous momentum.
Ronan the Accuser was not an ordinary warrior. As one of the Kree Empire's most feared commanders, his strength was formidable.
But to Ethan—
It meant nothing.
"A cheap trick," Ethan said calmly.
He didn't even bother dodging.
Instead, he clenched his right fist and punched forward.
Boom!
Hammer met fist.
The contrast between the two weapons could not have been greater.
Yet the result was decided instantly.
Crack!
The hammer shattered.
The weapon burst apart under the force of Ethan's strike, its energized head collapsing into fragments.
"Impossible…"
Ronan's eyes widened in disbelief.
Before he could react, something else happened.
Ethan's fist struck him.
The blow landed almost invisibly, as though the attack had appeared from nowhere.
Boom!
The punch drove straight through Ronan's waist, sending a burst of blood spraying into the vacuum.
What—
When did that attack happen?
Ronan's mind froze.
He couldn't understand how one punch had somehow produced the effect of several strikes hitting him at once.
Before he could figure it out, the power of the blow launched him across space.
His body was blasted backward for several kilometers.
"Multiple attacks," Ethan said with a faint smile.
The technique he had just used was simple in concept but devastating in effect.
A single strike could generate several consecutive impacts.
The ability was one of the advanced skills unlocked through his enhanced strength.
Ethan had rarely used it before.
Most opponents he faced were far too weak.
One punch had always been enough.
