Chapter 9 – The Birth of Galactic Nexus
The basement had changed.
What used to look like a messy experimental lab now resembled something closer to a secret research facility. Tables were covered with metallic components, energy conduits, half-assembled drones, and containers sealed with warning symbols. In the center of the room stood a reinforced platform where the newest creation was slowly taking shape.
Karn stood with his arms crossed, staring at the incomplete structure.
A humanoid frame made from shining golden metal was suspended in mid-air by magnetic clamps.
Even unfinished, it looked powerful.
"Zangika…" Karn said slowly.
"Yes, my love?"
"Tell me again why we're building another suit when Shadow Nexus already works?"
Zangika's voice carried a hint of amusement.
"Because Shadow Nexus is an infiltration and casual suit."
"And this one?"
"This will be a combat platform."oe suit,
A holographic diagram appeared in front of Karn's glasses.
"This," she continued, "is the Galactic Nexus Armor."
Karn walked closer to the floating frame.
The metal reflected the light of the workshop lamps in smooth waves.
"Cybernetic alloy," he muttered.
"Yes."
Zangika enlarged the molecular structure on the hologram.
"Unlike Earth metals, Cybernetic Alloy uses a self-organizing crystalline lattice. Each molecular bond rearranges itself depending on stress levels."
"Meaning?"
"The armor becomes stronger the more force it receives."
Karn raised his eyebrow.
"So the harder something hits it…"
"The stronger it becomes."
Karn grinned.
"That's insane."

The Frame
The base structure of the Galactic Nexus suit was built from layered cybernetic alloy plates.
But these plates were not rigid like traditional armor.
Instead they were segmented and flexible, connected through micro-hinge joints made from Nexnium conductive channels.
This allowed the armor to move like a second skin.
"Mobility was our biggest challenge," Zangika explained.
"If the armor is too rigid, you lose speed."
"So we made it flexible?"
"Correct."
Each plate overlapped the next like scales on a dragon.
The joints between them contained neuro-link fibers, allowing the suit to read Karn's muscle signals directly.
Instead of moving the armor manually, Karn's body would simply think about movement, and the armor would respond instantly.

The Reactor Integration
Karn moved toward the table where a glowing capsule sat inside a containment cradle.
Inside it floated the fragment of Star Plasma they had stolen from the alien ship.
It looked like a tiny sun trapped inside glass.
"Still scares me," Karn admitted.
"It should," Zangika replied calmly.
She displayed another hologram.
"This is the Star Plasma Containment Reactor."
The system used three major components:
Magnetic Containment Rings
These rings created a magnetic field that held the plasma in stable form.
Without it, the plasma would expand violently and release stellar radiation.
Thermal Energy Converter
Star plasma generates extreme heat and electromagnetic radiation.
The converter transforms this into controlled energy streams.
Power Regulation Matrix
This module distributes energy through the suit's internal circuits.
Without it, the energy surge could overload the system.
Karn carefully lifted the capsule.
"So this tiny thing powers the entire suit?"
"Yes."
"And probably a small city."
Karn slowly installed the reactor into the chest cavity of the armor.
The moment it locked into place…
The entire frame lit up.
Golden energy lines spread across the suit like lightning.
Karn stepped back.
"Whoa."
Zangika sounded pleased.
"Power core online."
--
The Thruster System
The next component was flight.
Karn pointed at the engines resting on the table.
"These are smaller than I expected."
Zangika chuckled.
"That is because they are not traditional engines."
The thrusters were built from cybernetic alloy compression chambers combined with plasma propulsion nozzles.
Instead of burning fuel, they used controlled plasma bursts.
Energy from the reactor would be compressed, accelerated, and released through vector-controlled nozzles.
"Think of it like miniature rocket engines," Zangika explained.
"But instead of chemical fuel, they use star energy."
Four main thrusters were installed:
Two behind the back.
Two beneath the boots.
Additional micro-thrusters were placed along the arms and shoulders for stability.
Karn attached the last thruster module.
"So how fast can this thing go?"
"Based on simulations…"
She paused dramatically.
"Mach 3."
Karn blinked.
"…Three times the speed of sound?"
"Yes."
"Without burning alive?"
"The armor's energy shield handles atmospheric friction."
Karn laughed.damm
"I love alien technology."
--
The Force Field
Next came the most advanced feature.
The Force Field Generator.
Karn had seen something similar on the alien ship.
A shield capable of absorbing enormous damage.
Zangika projected the blueprint.
"This system uses the Star Plasma Reactor to generate a compressed electromagnetic barrier."
The barrier formed a thin energy layer around the suit.
When struck, the field redistributed the force across the entire surface.
"So bullets won't work?" Karn asked.
"Correct."
"Explosions?"
"Reduced drastically."
"Missiles?"
Won't even dent the shield
--
The Nano Repair Swarm
Six months into development, Zangika introduced another idea.
"Damage will eventually happen," she explained.
"So we build a repair system."
The solution was nano-repair drones.
Millions of microscopic machines stored within the suit's internal compartments.
Each nanobot could manipulate atoms of cybernetic alloy.
If the armor was damaged, the swarm would immediately rebuild the structure.
"Self-repairing armor," Karn said.
"Exactly."
--
The Weapon
Finally came the weapon.
Karn stood in front of the design table where a long metallic object slowly rotated in holographic projection.
"A spear?" he asked.
"Yes."
"But with upgrades."
The weapon was constructed from two materials:
Cybernetic Alloy for durability.
Nexnium for energy conduction.
The spear had a unique design.
Its tip resembled a lotus flower made from blades.
Multiple sharp edges curved inward toward the center point.
Energy channels ran through the core.
"This weapon has three modes," Zangika explained.
"First: melee combat."
The blades were sharp enough to slice through Anything you through at it .
"Second: projectile launch."
Energy blasts could be fired from the spear's core.
"Third: plasma beam."
The same galactic laser used in the Shadow Nexus could now be amplified through the spear.
"Ten times stronger."
Karn stared at the weapon.
"…I love it."
Zangika laughed.
"I knew you would."
The spear disappeared suddenly.
Karn blinked.
"Where did it go?"
"Void storage."

One Year Later
Time passed.
Karn balanced two lives.
Daytime: AI engineer intern.
Nighttime: secret alien engineer.
One year after the alien ship infiltration…
The Galactic Nexus armor was finally complete.
Karn stood in the basement.
"Ready?" Zangika asked
Karn took a deep breath.
"Let's see what we built."
He raised his hand.
"Galactic Nexus."
Energy exploded outward.
Golden light wrapped around his body.
The armor formed instantly.
Helmet.
Chest plate.
Arm guards.
Leg armor.
Boots.
The final suit shined in gold, white, and black.
Karn stared at himself in the mirror.
"…I look like a god."
Zangika laughed.
"Not bad for a human."
--
First Flight
Karn stepped outside.
Night sky stretched endlessly above him.
"Okay…"
He bent his knees.
"Here goes nothing."
Thrusters ignited.
Blue plasma burst from the engines.
BOOM.
Karn shot upward.
The ground vanished beneath him instantly.
"Speed increasing," Zangika reported.
"Mach 1."
The sound barrier shattered behind him.
"Mach 2."
Clouds rushed past his helmet.
"Mach 3."
Karn laughed.
"This is insane!"
The shield absorbed the heat of atmospheric friction.
Without it, the air resistance would have melted the armor.if it was any normal but it was cybernetic.(Basically it helps with heat reduction and energy absorption so it doesn't woble at much as it will woble without the shield it wouldn't woble to much without shield but having shield is better than having none )
Karn climbed higher.
Higher.
Almost reaching space.
Then—
"Wait."
Something appeared ahead.
A strange distortion in the sky.
It looked like a dark sphere.
But it wasn't stable.
Energy pulses rippled across its surface.
"What is that?" Karn asked.
Zangika scanned it.
"…Unknown."
The distortion suddenly expanded.
Reality itself seemed to twist around it.
"It looks like…"
"A dimensional breach."
Before Karn could react…
Gravity shifted.
A powerful force pulled him forward.
The thrusters roared at full power.
"Maximum thrust!" Karn shouted.
But it didn't matter.
The pull became stronger.
The portal swallowed light itself.
"Karn—!"
Zangika's voice filled with alarm.
"We're being pulled in!"
The armor struggled against the gravitational storm.
But the force was overwhelming.
Karn's vision blurred.
Stars twisted.
Space warped.
Then—
Everything disappeared.
And Karn was dragged into the unknown.
