KJK and Mr. Park were back at the penthouse. The triplets sat in deep thought, wondering who could have sent an assassin to eliminate them.
Being a celebrity had always been a double-edged sword…a life where freedom was a luxury, where every move was followed by paparazzi and reporters.
When asked if they loved their celebrity life, the answer was always yes.
But was it true? Was this the life they truly wanted? Well… that was a story for another day.
"Who could be behind this?" Kim Tan sighed, exchanging looks with his brothers.
"I'll quickly look into it," Mr. Park said.
"Did we wrong anyone? In any way?" Kyung asked cautiously.
"We're young, fortunate brothers… or is it a curse to be fortunate?" Jimin muttered.
"It isn't a curse," Kim Tan replied firmly.
"Then what is it? Because I'm getting fed up with this celebrity life already," Jimin sighed.
Mr. Park pinched the space between his brows and began his lecture.
"Calm down, boys. As long as someone is a celebrity, there will be enemies. Whether you've done something wrong or nothing at all… haters will find you. That's the life of a celebrity—and even ordinary people face it. Don't you see the comments online? The hate is outrageous. You have to hold on and enjoy your life for the fans. Don't give up and…"
"We aren't giving up," the three boys interrupted immediately.
"Not yet," Kim Tan exhaled.
"That's the spirit," Mr. Park smiled. "But I have a plan." His gaze sharpened.
KJK glanced at each other, then back at him.
"We're all ears, Mr. Park," Kim Tan urged.
"I want you guys to return to the States for now," he said. "No performances in Korea until this assassin situation is sorted. Your lives are far more important than any stage."
The three sat in silence for a moment before Jimin spoke up.
"I'm really gonna miss Korean dishes…"
"We're talking about something important here, and you're thinking about food?" Kyung facepalmed.
"Of course. My stomach is more important than this celebrity life," Jimin said sarcastically.
"Is that why you always tamper with my dishes?" Kyung glared.
"Our food, you say?" Jimin shot back.
"Yah! You better get my cupcake and eggs ready in an hour," Kyung threatened, making Jimin chuckle.
"What if I don't? After all, you don't own me," Jimin teased, earning daggers from Kyung's glare.
"Your eyes will pop out one day if you keep glaring like that," Jimin laughed, making Kim Tan and Mr. Park, who had been quietly watching, burst into laughter.
"That's not funny at all," Kyung frowned.
"The only way to end this fight," Mr. Park teased, "is to separate you two."
Both brothers protested instantly."We're inseparable!" they said together.
"Hahaha," Mr. Park laughed.
"The answer will always be the same… inseparable indeed," Kim Tan mocked, making them glare at each other.
"Back to business… hope you're okay with my suggestion of leaving the country?" Mr. Park asked.
"Sure," Kim Tan replied. Mr. Park glanced at Jimin and Kyung.
"Kyung and Jimin are y—"
"I'm in," they said together, finishing his sentence.
"Will you stop saying the same thing as me?" Kyung sighed.
"I should be the one saying that to you," Jimin rolled his eyes.
"You know… the three of us are connected. Saying the same thing at the same time isn't a big deal," Kim Tan said.
"This happens all the time between me and him," Jimin muttered, glaring at Kyung.
"That's because you two are always at each other's necks," Mr. Park grinned.
"And that's his fault," Kyung pointed at Jimin.
"Me?" Jimin asked.
"No, me!" Kyung fired back, making Jimin roll his eyes again.
"Okay, boys, I have to leave now." Mr. Park stood up and adjusted his tie.
"I'll go clean up the internet with some information, so people know why you didn't perform. Before rumors start spreading…"
"You mean the bloggers feeding the masses whatever they want?" Kim Tan asked.
"The internet must be in a fuss now because of us," Jimin sighed.
"It'll be worse when we leave the country," Kyung added, making all three brothers groan.
"Don't worry, your agency will handle it," Mr. Park reassured.
"Hm," they nodded.
"I'm off, guys," Mr. Park said.
"Be careful out there, Mr. Park," Kim Tan called, and the man paused, smiling before leaving.
"I'm famished," Kim Tan sighed, sinking into the couch.
"So, what are we eating tonight?" Kyung asked.
"I'm not hungry. You two should sort yourselves out," Jimin said, standing.
"Or you could admit you're too lazy to join in the kitchen," Kyung teased.
"Whatever," Jimin said, walking off.
"I'll make ramen with seafood. What do you think, Kyung?" Kim Tan asked.
"I'm in, Tan," Kyung grinned.
Of course, Kim Tan was a phenomenal cook. His dishes were always a miracle, especially his seafood ramen.
Jimin, hearing this, paused, he ran and sat beside him, he smiled from ear to ear.
"I'm in too, hyung," he said, wrapping his arm around him.
Kim Tan and Kyung glanced at each other before both thundered a question.
"Do we even know you?!"
