The boy yawned and stretched out his arms after a long day, before long he had drifted off.

"Rise and shine! Young master."
The boy woke up and rubbed his eyes, standing at the foot of his bed was Xenia, she had on a black leather outfit that covered her from her neck to her ankles and she wore tight black boots.
"Why did you wake me up so early, and why are you dressed that way?" Jacob inquired drowsily.
"Because today, the young master begins his training." She responded with a perpetual smile on her face.
His ears perked up at the sound of the word 'Training,' suddenly all the sleep vanished from his eyes, he had long awaited this day, he had never held a weapon in his entire ten years, talk more of using it.
Finally he was going to, "Okay, okay, let me quickly get prepared." The boy spoke as he leaped off his bed in excitement, his eyes had a familiar sparkle.
He got ready quickly and put on the training gear that Xenia had laid out for him.

"First you must learn to cultivate." Xenia said sternly, her calm and loving demeanor was gone and she had entered training mode.
'Okay, that seems fairly easy, all I need to do is take in a deep breath and concentrate. Let's see if this Infinite comprehension is all that,' the boy mused inwardly.
Xenia continued, "The first step of cultivation is your ability to sense Qi, this is the life energy that flows through every living thing in this world. Calm your mind and body, enter a state of stillness and perceive the energy all around you, in the air, in the earth, and even in your own body."
Jacob got down in the lotus position and stilled himself, Xenia walked around him slowly, focused on the boy intently.
"Qi feels different to everyone, some experience it as warmth, some as a gentle breeze, flowing water, or even a vibration. Once you sense it, draw it into your body, guide it through, nurture your core."
Everything went silent, Jacob had drifted into extreme concentration, with Xenia's voice acting as a soothing guide, he started to feel a warmth coursing through every joint in his body.
A soft breeze blew around him, forcing Xenia to move further away, inwardly it felt like his bones were being massaged by soft hands.
He stayed in that position for a while, everything had slowed down, the concept of time seemed foreign at this point.
Xenia noticing how much energy had built up around the boy, watched in awe, it had taken her days to master Qi Absorption and this ten year old boy did it in one sitting, 'He truly is an anomaly.' She thought to herself.
He felt a surge in his core, it was very clear that he'd become stronger.
"That's enough, young master, there is no need to rush your cultivation." Xenia's voice snapped him out of flow state and he instantly got on his feet.
"When do we get to the sparring part?" The boy asked eagerly as though that's all he was interested in.
"In time young master, in time," she assured him, "I must say it was only expected that you'd learn Qi sensing and absorption easily."
"Well I already know a lot abo-" Jacob started, not thinking, "I just sat quietly and I started to feel it haha." He corrected himself , chuckling nervously.
'Think before you speak Jacob, don't wanna reveal all secrets this early,' he mused.

Alaric and Rhoarin watched in silence from the top of the tower, both equally impressed at the boy's quick reception.
"That boy of yours is a real gem, he would grow to be a formidable opponent,' Alaric broke the silence.
"Still I worry that knowledge of his gifts might attract unwanted attention." Rhoarin replied, his facial expression an uncanny balance between pride and worry.
"I told Esty the same thing yesterday, but I'm sure nobody will dare go against the Ironfell clan, not in their right minds." Alaric concluded.
Rhoarin nodded in agreement and the two kept watching on as Jacob trained with Xenia.
