The day was as normal as any other; the king's guard, Barristan Selmy, stood quietly in front of Prince Arrax's room.
Nobody had entered since the morning maid, Serra, had arrived to awaken the prince and perform the usual routine of chores to make him presentable in front of the king and queen.
All was quiet as the young-looking knight stood tall in his white-cloaked, shining armour when a high-pitched female scream flooded from beyond the door.
"Serra?"
Barrista called out as he spun on his heel and banged on the door to only receive deadly silence in return.
"I'm coming in!"
Barristan yelled as he motioned with one hand to the door handle and with the other to his normal yet deadly iron sword.
Barristan entered the room with little fanfare, his eyes scanning the untidy bed and the slight hinge of the door to the bathroom, which opened with an eerie but silent hiss.
"Prince Arrax?"
Barristan moved silently towards the door, his armour, although heavy, made little noise as the knight moved with the swiftness and quietness of an assassin.
Barristan stood silently at the bathroom door, daring to peek in. His mind reeled at what could have happened to cause Serra, the maid, to scream in distress.
Moving his hand once again moved to the door handle and his other to his already partially drawn sword. Barristan flew the door open to be met with a sight that stunned him.
On the floor was Serra, the once-juvenile and beautiful woman, now a sliver of her former self, her bright, nearly radiant skin turned dark grey and shrivelled, as if all the blood in her body were gone.
Barristan looked over the body of the maid until his eyes caught something within the only dark corner of the room.
Within the top corner of the bathroom, hidden behind the darkness where even the light of the sun was kept away, crawled a near-inhuman, pale body, stretched and beyond comparison to even the Valyrians of old.
Barristan, for the first time in his life, froze; a mixture of fear and dread overwhelmed him.
'What is that?'
'Where is Prince Arrax?'
'What happened?'
Everything slowed as the figure curled in the corner of the roof, as its now-glowing, blood-like eyes met Barristan's. For a second, Barristan Selmy felt as if he were on a battlefield, facing Maelys Blackfyre once again.
Without another second of thought, Barritan brought his sword directly at the beast in the corner.
Selmy, oblivious to the obvious Valyrian features of the beast, was in total fear as his hand shook, and the beast in the corner further uncurled, showing its long bat-like limbs.
That was until a voice reached within Barristan's head. It was unlike any he had heard before; nothing, not even the king's voice when he was knighted, gave this type of feeling.
"Kneel"
Almost immediately, Barristan Selmy, a knight who had killed the monstrous Maelys Blackfyre, could do nothing as his body obeyed the command, dropping his sword and kneeling toward the beast.
"B-by the S-sssseven!"
Barristan managed to spit out as he fought against his body.
With the sword clattering against the floor, the beast in the corner dropped to the floor, and only then did Selmy realise who it was.
"Prince Arrax!"
Selmy was first in shock at being forcibly made to kneel, and then at finding that the beast looked, or at least had similar features to, the prince.
The prince moved slowly towards Selmy, making sure that the sun, though it gleamed through the small window, didn't linger on his skin for too long.
His hand moved downward, picking up the dropped Kingsguard sword with talons like appendages, as the beast spun the sword as if it were a plaything before placing it near its mouth and biting into the steel in one swift movement.
At first, the metal didn't react, but then it began to warp, as if it had been placed in a furnace and then in the ocean, where the salt corroded its surface, causing it to rust visibly.
The beast, now Prince Arrax, had little interest as he looked down at Barristan Selmy.
"You dare to wield a blade against the royal line, Barristan?"
Barristan felt a tingle go down his spine as if, if he answered incorrectly, then the beast. No, the prince in front of him would kill him simular to the maid before.
"I wouldn't dare you, highness!"
Selmy managed to speak as his fear within himself reached a height he didn't know possible.
"Good..."
Arrax responded with a short answer as his blood red eyes turned to the near-completely anaemic corpse of the maid before turning towards Selmy.
"Barristan Selmy. You shall forget everything you saw today and report instead that the maid tried to assassinate me"
The voice returned within Selmy's head as his very will was rewritten.
"As you command, my prince."
Selmy responded still within his kneeling position as Arrax moved around the room towards the door, his body morphing as he did so, returning to his original form of Prince Arrax.
"You may stand"
With that simple command, Selmy stood and acted as if he were a robot, placing the discarded sword covered in rust back into its sheath as he moved to pick up the dead maid's body and prepare to leave the prince's room.
Selmy opened the bathroom door to see the same prince from earlier standing, however, in his clothes, with long black and red mixed gowns, making his already pale skin stand out even more as his beauty stood to be unreachable without otherworldly intervention.
"I'll be taking my leave, your highness"
Barristan bowed with the maid's body strung over his shoulder, with blankets covering her face and any part of her body showing skin.
"Very well, see you soon, Selmy"
Arrax responded in kind as he looked at himself in the mirror of the grand bedroom. Subtlely watching Selmy leave the room with the dead maid.
As Selmy closed the door, Arrax breathed a heaf of exhaustion as he collapsed upon his bed.
"So I'm a vampire."
Arrax spoke to himself as he looked at his hands. The once pale, soft and innocent hands turned without notice to those of a blade.
His tongue meanwhile explored his mouth as he instinctively exposed his fangs, feeling the teeth within his mouth move as he explored every detail about his body.
"I guess I'm not fucked then."
Prince Arrax gave a subtle but exhausted exhale as he jumped with the explosive power of a ten-year-old, even though he was within the body of a four-year-old.
Standing, Arrax realised that he was faster and more agile than he was supposed to be as he turned towards the door and, in a fraction of a second, arrived standing in front of it.
"Holy Shit!"
Arrax spoke with excitement as he looked and remembered in his head that within the span of less than a second, he covered 10 metres.
For the following few minutes prince Arraax explored his powers from his hands, changing form to his limbs, becoming elongated and twisted into a form similar to bats.
This was all seen through Arrax's eyes as he found out that he had the ability to see from a different perspective from outside his body.
Arrax stood in front of the mirror within his room, slowly brushing his hair as he began tying it into a bun atop his head.
Then it clicked 'Waited how can I see myself?'
The simple thought struck something as his memories of being Tony resurfaced as he tried to remember how a vampire could see themselves within a mirror.
It proceeded to click as Arrax began to laugh a deep and foreign laugh that shook his small body.
"Im A Progenitor!"
