About seventy years ago, mysterious structures called Ruins suddenly appeared across Earth. They emerged in cities, forests, deserts, mountains, and even deep oceans, destroying entire regions upon arrival. At the same time, unknown creatures began spreading across the world. This event later became known as The Ruinfall. Along with the Ruins, parts of the world began to change, and new lands and locations appeared—places that had never existed before. These areas do not follow the rules of the old world and remain largely unexplored. Modern civilization collapsed in many areas as communication networks failed, governments fell, and countless people died. Today, humanity survives in fortified cities called Bastions, constantly defending themselves from monsters and unstable Ruins. The true origin of the Ruins remains unknown.
