It was still very early for a day to pass, maybe just a bit before noon, but Kai already felt like he had just run a marathon. The polar bear costume felt even heavier after a short break, sweat sticking to his back like glue that wouldn't let go.
Chloe beside him was still wearing the bunny mascot head, her ears swaying gently as she moved her body, as if the girl had an endless supply of energy even though she had just recovered from a fever.
Kai took a deep breath, his hands ready to put the costume head back on when a familiar voice came from behind them.
"Hehehe~ you two are really close, huh."
Kai and Chloe turned at the same time. Reva stood there with a sweet smile that always seemed to have some hidden meaning behind it. A small shopping bag hung from her arm, her twin braids slightly messy from the morning wind.
The woman approached without being asked and sat on the bench next to Kai, as if that spot had already been hers for a long time.
