Once Leo and Lura signed up for the quest they were given a stamp of approval and told to goto the eastern gate and out in the forest they would find the slimes nest, it had blue slime that were low tier, Green slime that were mid tier and Gold slime that were considered the top tier with the better loot drop possibilities and higher exp earned.
With this info they set out to the first adventure together in hope to test their skills and Leo wanted to get ahold of the Moon-Petal Flower he saw in the hidden description from his [Appraisal] skill. To him he could either get both of them better armor or have the possibility to go up against the Slime-King.
They ventured into the forest just outside the eastern gate and noticed that the atmosphere had a distinct fog in it almost like stepping into a completely different biome.
Leo took a deep breath, "I hope we find some slimes soon, its hard to see in this weird fog"
Lura's hairs were all up on end and she was acting almost skiddish, she had never ventured out into the forest let alone not being able to see made her startled by almost everything. "Master how long do you think this will take?"
"Dont worry Lura your A-Rank and I will help fight anything that tries to harm you as well"
Hearing these words helped calm her down a tiny bit but at the same time she still seemed on edge about the fog that surrounded the forest. As they walked deeper in they came across a few of the blue slimes and quickly dispatched them.
Leo was really impressed by Lura's new skill [Claw Arts], this allowed her to use her nails as talons and rip through the slimes cores with ease. They collected the monster crystals they dropped and some even provided some random blue goop that both had no idea what it was for but they still collected it in a poach to see what they could get from it back at Aethelgard.
After about an hour Leo saw a flash prompt on his screen activate.

He got excited at the fact he ranked up a level but none of his stats seemed to have moved, maybe it was just do to being a low level or was something else going on he didn't know about yet.
He didn't pay much attention to it and they kept venturing forward to find some green and even gold slimes in a area. The green were giving double the exp of the blue and the gold gave three times as much. Each had their own special goop they dropped and just seemed to be a different color but the same consistency.

He looked at the bar going up on exp and then got the notion to appraise Lura's level and exp bar. He focused on her and used it in his mind, [Appraisal]

Seeing this made Leo's eyes widen in amazement, she was only level 36 but already an A-Rank with a special ability. He thought about video games from the other world and remembered in one game the character that started off at a higher rank but lower level always seemed to posses some type of awakening later on into the higher levels. Leo really hoped this was the case and it made him even more happy he decided to take in Lura to his party.
Once defeating the small onslaught of slimes they stumbled upon a cave that was infested with them and they knew that this was the nest they were told to eradicate for the quest, They went in and soon learned this was no ordinary nest. The slimes were covering every part of the cave they could see and as they creeped in the slimes on the ceiling were dripping down and they tried their best to avoid the goop.
Soon they found themselves basically surrounded by slimes and through the onslaught they fought their way through to the center of a room in the cave where a single patch of grass was growing from the light coming in on top of the cave. In this patch of grass Leo saw the Moon-Petal Flower and quickly turned to Lura with excitement.
"Lura we need that flower! Kill every slime insight!" he yelled at her across the tiny of army of slimes.
As he turned to look at her he let out a blank sigh at the sight he gazed upon.
Lura was backed up against the cave wall freaking out as the slimes were simply stretching out and barely touching her...to his eyes this looked the same as a tiny cat backed up while a frog simply scared it...
He knew he was doomed...and the possibility of failing started to increase. As he realized this the Failure System gave him a protocol.

Leo did not understand, he accepted this quest knowing they could complete it. But the system said otherwise and seeing this puzzled Leo as now he had no idea what to do, he started to succumb to fear of the unknown and in this blank state the slimes began to crawl up and over him.
Lura started to notice and eventually the same thing happened to her within moments.
After not long Leo saw a new prompt appear from the [Failure System]

Within the moment of reading this Leo's body gave off a wave of energy whipping out every slime in the cave but not harming the environment or Lura. As he got up he looked over at Lura who was curled up into a ball with her hands over her face. He questioned what just happened and if she even saw the power he just dispersed, but now he hesitated if he should even tell her what just happened.
He walked over to help her up and as he put his hand on her she shook slightly and he had to grab her and help her calm down.
"NOOO don't touch me!!" She screamed out from fear.
"Lura,Lura its me. Your ok the slimes are all gone"
She slowly pulled her arms down from her face to look up at Leo who was crouched beside her, she was crying and the sight of him was almost like a light in the dark for her.
He looked down at her realizing she's always lived a life of fear and he needs to be the one to show her she now has the power to not only overcome the fear but the power to be one of the top rankers in the kingdom.
She was his and he needed to take care of her in more ways then just overcoming fewer. He had to comfort her and help her grow into a new person not only being his slave but as a team mate and his first companion in this world.
Leo grabbed her hand and helped her up of the cave ground. He brushed her off and wiped off the tears on her face, she made a sniffling sound and looked at him with tears in her eyes.
" Your going to be ok Lura, I wont let anything or anyone take you away. Your mine." He said this with a smile on his face and a few tears running down from his eyes.
Lura's ears perked up and she managed to give him a smile with the same demeanor, "Thank you master"
Leo pointed at the Moon-Petal flower in the center of the cave, "We need that flower, its value will help us get new armor and even a weapon for you"
They walked over to the flower and Leo bent down to pick it up gazing upon its shimmering white petals, he noticed it had a similar glow to the moon at night and this is why it was given the name Moon-Petal flower.
With a gentle pluck he pulled the flower from the ground and it triggered a new prompt from the system.

Leo instantly put his hands up and yelled out loud in excitement, the flowers worth was 2 whole gold coins and if he broke that down in market it was 200 silver. That could pay for their room for more nights and get both of them new armor or weapons.
With this accomplishment they started to head back to Aethelgard with loot in hand ready to sell.
