Once they arrived back to Aethelgard, Leo and Lura headed straight to the guild to collect the payment of the quest.
They walked in and headed over to the Guild desk, the Guild Clerk gave a blank look at Leo, "What do you need today?"
He handed over the quest paper with no secound thought on her tone of voice because he knew today would be good and he didnt want to spoil it with an over dramatic scene just yet. He was more focused on Lura and how she felt after getting piled by those slimes back in the cave.
"I want to collect our reward for the slime quest" He replied to the clerk in a more modest tone then usual.
"Do you have proof of completing the quest? Slime Goop is used as appraisel"
Leo looked at Lura and remembered they collected Goop from almost each slime they had slayed before heading into the cave. He was glad they grabbed it even though he had no idea what it was used for our its value.
"I have about 150 Blue Goop,231 Green Goop and 189 Gold Goop" he said as he dropped his Magic Loot bag onto the counter.
The clerk quickly grabbed it and set it upon a magic cirlce that totaled the number of items and told her its worth.
"150 Blue is worth 1 silver and 50 copper,231 Green is worth 2 silver and 31 copper, then Gold is worth 1 silver and 89 copper" She tallied up the total, "The total worth is 5 silver and 70 copper on top of the 2 silver reward."
Leo was super excited but he was pleased with the payout of the quest and happy to find out that the guild buys the loot found in the quests they give, the only real question he had was what the Goop is actually used for.
After completing the paperwork for the quest and getting his pay out he turned to Lura, "want to get something to eat?"
"im not too hungry" she replied as her stomach growled in response.
"Your stomach says other wise, lets go out" he replied to her stomach
She simply smiled and wasnt going to deny food from him.
On their way out of the guild they over heard another adventurer talking about a local place that served the best food and alcohal, this peaked Leo's intrest as he liked to drink in colledge but never really had any money for it except the occasional beer or two.
"Lets go to that place, sound good?" he asked to Lura hoping she wouldnt mind.
She nodded in response as she honestly didnt care to much whee they went out to eat, to her it was more of the fact that Leo was offering her meal and she got to sit with him and eat. All her meals in the past were always from a bowl on the ground and she was left scraps of whatever was left over.
The adventurer was talking about a place called 'Shangri-La', Leo noticed the sign when they arrived and it was made in his language. He was confused because it ment some other person had been transported here from his world.
Leo and Lura walked in and sat a table near the bar area, he looked around the diner and noticed small things that was from his culture and the more he looked the more he noticed details of his world. To Leo this was more confusing then actually exciting at this point because now he needed to know what or why he was brought here.
Soon a waitres came over to take there order, she was in a maid outfit. "What will the lovely couple be having tonight?"
This made Leo blush slightly and choke on his words in response,"oh were not...were not a couple, This is my slave" he said as he gestured to Lura.
When he looked over at her hr felt a cold chill run down his spine, Lura's face was puffed up and she now looked irratated at him for what he just said.
"Your a meanie" She said.
Leo put his hand behind his head and chuckled slightly, "Sorry we will take the special". He tried to play it off a bit but the waitress took the order and side eyed him in response to how Lura acted.
Leo sighed and lowered his head lightly knowing he most likely said the wrong thing but it was true she was his slave and he didnt want people thinking the wrong thing. He was already getting bad looks.
when the food arrived Lura's cold shoulder warmed up a bit and she started drooling looking at the giant plate of meat. Her eyes dazzled as she looked over it like a mountain infront of her.
"This is all for me?" she asked Leo with a child like tone.
"Yep, I got mine over here" He said while trying to look at her from behind a similar mountain of meat infront of him. He gestured to the bar keep for a cup of boose and when he arrived he noticed a marking on the cup that was of a beer he used to drink.
The taste was the same and it was almost nostalgic to be able to drink it here, he gulped down a big swig and let out a refreshing *Gasp*. "Nothing hits better to wash down a plate of food with some beer"
Lura's ears twitched as she reached over smelt his cup, her eyes widened as the carbonation popped up the cup.
"Beer? what is it?" she asked.
"its a fermented alcohal, this one is actually the same as I used to drink back home. Have you not had any alcohal before Lura?"
She nodded no but her wide eyes stuck onto the cup and Leo knew she wanted a taste. He passed the cup to her "Only have a sip incase you dont like it"
She took the cup a swigged a small gulp then coughed slightly in response to the carbonation then let a small hiccup.
leo laughed and this made her want to drink more, she instantly down the cup and he reached over in a small comossion to sieze it from her but it was too late...she drank it all and it was followed by another hiccup.
Her face instantly turned red and she drooled slight, just one cup and she was done. Leo now knew she had never drank any alcohal being a slave and he would need to be a bit more careful going forward. They finished their meal and Lura ended up taking another cup from Leo when he went to the bathroom.
He ended up having to carry her back to the tavern and kicking open the bedroom door to lay her in the bed. She was mumbling small words in her sleep and he couldnt really make out anything other then one sentence.
"Thanks master...more beer..." she mumbled this as she drooled on herself.
He sat next to her on the bed and chuckled while leaning back with his hands behind his bed and looking up at the ceiling. He thought of their first adventure and even their first encounter, he knew this was the start of a great adventure but he what he didnt know is how far this adventure would take both of them and what it had planned for him specifically.
