The ballroom grew quiet again.
Everyone turned to look at the tall stranger who had just stepped forward.
He looked calm… almost amused.
Alexander's eyes narrowed slightly.
"I asked you a question," he said coldly. "Who are you?"
The man smiled politely.
"My name is Daniel Wright."
Some of the guests immediately reacted with quiet whispers.
"Daniel Wright?"
"The Wright Corporation heir?"
"What is he doing here?"
Emily noticed the sudden tension spreading across the room.
Daniel slipped his hands into his pockets casually.
"I apologize for interrupting such an exciting moment," he said. "But after witnessing all this drama, I simply couldn't stay silent."
Sophia, who had been standing frozen moments ago, suddenly looked relieved.
"Daniel," she said quickly. "You know I would never do something like this."
Daniel glanced at her briefly.
His expression remained unreadable.
"I know many things, Sophia," he replied calmly.
Alexander stepped forward, placing himself slightly in front of Emily.
"What exactly do you want?"
Daniel's eyes moved slowly toward Emily.
"I was curious."
Emily frowned slightly.
"Curious about what?"
Daniel smiled faintly.
"The woman who managed to marry the famous Alexander Knight in such a short time."
The guests around them watched the exchange closely.
Emily straightened her posture.
"Is that a problem?"
Daniel chuckled softly.
"Not at all."
He took another step closer.
"In fact… I think it's impressive."
Alexander's expression hardened.
"Say what you came here to say."
Daniel nodded.
"Very well."
He turned slightly toward the crowd.
"Tonight's little scandal is certainly entertaining, but I believe everyone is missing the bigger picture."
Victor Hale frowned.
"And what exactly is that?"
Daniel's gaze returned to Emily again.
"The real question isn't whether Sophia tried to frame her."
He paused.
"It's why someone like Emily suddenly appeared in the Knight family at all."
A murmur spread through the ballroom.
Emily felt Alexander's hand tighten slightly beside her.
Daniel continued calmly,
"You see, I've been investigating something very interesting recently."
Alexander's voice turned dangerously cold.
"You've been investigating my wife?"
Daniel met his gaze without fear.
"Yes."
The room grew tense.
Emily's heart began beating faster.
"And what exactly did you find?" she asked carefully.
Daniel's smile slowly faded.
"I found something that makes your sudden marriage to Alexander…"
He paused.
"…far more suspicious than anyone here realizes."
The ballroom fell completely silent.
Emily felt a chill run down her spine.
Because Daniel's next words changed everything.
"You may not know this yet, Emily…"
He looked directly at her.
"But someone in this room has been searching for you for a very long time."
