Chapter 128 - Chapter 128 Good Person

Seeing that Gardevoir had already ended her match, Meowth casually shredded the Dragon Breath coming his way and said enviously, "Meow, type advantage sure makes things easy. But I can't afford to rush my battle either..."

Glancing over at Charmeleon, who was closely observing his fight, Meowth smiled and used his claws to tear through Hydreigon's Dragon Breath yet again.

Charmeleon, who was following Ash's advice to study Meowth's combat, stared in awe as Meowth effortlessly ripped through Hydreigon's attacks with his bare claws. He looked down at his own claws, his resolve to master the Ripple technique hardening further.

Meanwhile, Meowth simultaneously shredded the incoming attacks while launching relentless Jump Kicks, continuously battering Hydreigon and driving the three-headed dragon into a blind rage.

Over on the other side, Chansey was being even more merciless. As the undisputed tank of Ash's team, Chansey was giving everyone a masterclass in multi-layered Light Screens and rapid-fire Counters. Whenever Garchomp tried to use a breath attack, Chansey instantly threw up multiple Light Screens to block it completely. And whenever Garchomp closed the distance for melee, Chansey drove it back with hand-to-hand combat that was vastly more savage than Garchomp's own, effectively locking the land shark out of the fight entirely.

In the match between Rapidash and Metagross, Metagross kept trying to pin Rapidash down with its psychic powers. But Rapidash constantly peppered Metagross with eerie blue flames, forcing the steel-type to constantly evade. This pushed Metagross' supercomputer-like brain into overdrive, frantically calculating a solution.

But the result was grim: there was no way to break the deadlock! It suddenly realized that Rapidash had been running circles around it this entire time, never stopping for a second. Wait! Running in circles?!

By the time Metagross finally processed what was happening, a sharp glint flashed in Rapidash's eyes. It rapidly accelerated, and a vortex of ghostly blue flames fully materialized. Then, Rapidash charged dead at Metagross.

"Neigh!" (Flare Blitz!)

With the crushing impact of the fiery tempest, Metagross lost consciousness within the eerie blue inferno.

Just as Metagross fainted, Ash's Beedrill used its Vampire Fangs to decisively end Tyranitar. Beedrill looked at the fallen Tyranitar and shook its head; beating this kind of artificially matured opponent was nowhere near as challenging as fighting Sabrina's Alakazam.

Over with Arcanine and Kommo-o, Arcanine was relentlessly blitzing the dragon with Extreme Speed. Although Kommo-o desperately wanted to counterattack, it couldn't find a single opening. Under Arcanine's continuously accelerating assault, Kommo-o finally hit its limit.

"Bark!"

With one final, devastating tackle from Arcanine, the exhausted Kommo-o—whose stamina had long been drained by trying to keep up with Extreme Speed—collapsed onto the ground for good.

"How... is this possible... my Pseudo-Legendaries..."

A watched in absolute disbelief as his untouchable Pseudo-Legendary army was systematically dismantled one by one. He couldn't fathom how these normal Pokémon had defeated his titans.

"Meow, so I gotta ask, what exactly gave you the confidence to think we'd be weaker than your so-called Pseudo-Legendaries?"

Having finished off Hydreigon with Fury Swipes, Meowth sat atop the unconscious dragon, looking at A with genuine confusion. At the same time, Chansey unleashed her own custom signature move: Nuke Egg!

BOOM!

Accompanied by a miniature mushroom cloud, Garchomp hit the dirt. With that, A's Pseudo-Legendary army was completely annihilated.

"Scyther, Cross Chop! Ponyta, Flamethrower!"

"Squirtle, Water Gun! Starmie, Psywave!"

"Vulpix, Fire Spin!"

As A's army fell, Lara, Misty, and Suzie assisted the Continental Hotel staff in wiping out the remaining grunts.

Seeing that all was lost, a glint flashed in A's eyes. He ripped a handgun from his coat and aimed it squarely at Ash.

"For the Boss! A threat like you must be eliminated here and now!"

Bang!

A fired without a second of hesitation. But the bullet never reached Ash.

Psyduck, who was still chilling in Ash's backpack, saw that Ash was in danger and instantly unleashed its psychic powers, freezing the bullet in mid-air. At the exact same moment, Gardevoir's Disable locked A and his men entirely in place. The Onix had already shielded Ash and the girls, and Arbok cast a chilling glare at A before slithering directly toward him.

Ash's voice was cold. "Break his limbs."

"Arbok, do it."

Hearing Ash's command, Arbok, who had originally planned to just bite and corrode A, changed its attack method. Instead of biting, it sprayed out a terrifying stream of dissolving acid.

"Ahhhhhh! No!!!"

Accompanied by A's agonizing screams, his limbs were literally melted away. Ty, who was still recording the scene, couldn't help but say, "This... should we..."

"Don't speak!"

Looking at A with his melted limbs, Ash turned to Officer Jenny beside him and said, "Officer Jenny. He won't be running away this time. Poaching Pokémon, plus armed assault on civilians..."

"Yeah, he's completely finished this time."

Officer Jenny naturally understood Ash's intention. As for why Ash didn't just kill A outright? Jenny knew this was to give the authorities a clean wrap-up for the incident. Otherwise, explaining why the main culprit was completely dissolved into a puddle would be much more troublesome. As for Ash letting Arbok cripple A's limbs? Jenny chalked it up to self-defense.

Of course, Jenny also knew that this 'A' definitely wouldn't survive for long. Without a specific antidote, Ash's Arbok's venom was incurable. But Jenny wasn't going to say Ash did anything wrong. What Ash did just now was purely self-defense. That's right, in Jenny's eyes, this was justified self-defense. Nothing wrong with it at all.
