The hospital corridor was silent.
Only the faint sound of Arjun's hurried footsteps echoed through the empty hall as he carried Aanya in his arms. Her body felt colder with every second.
"Doctor! Somebody help!" he shouted.
Nurses rushed toward him, quickly placing Aanya on a stretcher. Arjun stood there, breathless, watching them push her into the emergency room.
The red light outside the door turned on.
Arjun ran his trembling hands through his hair. His mind was spinning.
Why did she say she was cutting her wrist? Why did she sound so calm?
Minutes passed… but they felt like hours.
Suddenly, the lights in the corridor flickered.
Once.
Twice.
Then everything went dark for a moment.
Arjun looked up.
On the ceiling above him… something moved.
A long crimson shadow slowly spread across the wall like smoke.
His heartbeat stopped.
"What… what is that?" he whispered.
But the moment the lights came back…
The shadow was gone.
Inside the emergency room, a nurse suddenly gasped.
"Doctor… look at this."
The doctor frowned.
"The wound… it's disappearing."
The deep cut on Aanya's wrist was slowly closing on its own, as if it had never existed.
Outside the room, Arjun felt a strange chill behind him.
He turned around slowly.
For a brief second…
He saw a pair of glowing red eyes staring at him from the darkness at the end of the corridor.
Then they vanished.
Inside the room, Aanya's fingers suddenly twitched.
The heart monitor beeped loudly.
Arjun rushed to the glass window.
"Aanya!" he shouted.
Her eyes slowly opened.
But something was wrong.
They were not filled with fear…
They were filled with a strange, quiet smile.
And deep inside the shadows of the hospital ceiling…
Something whispered softly.
"She belongs to us now."
Arjun slowly stepped closer to the hospital bed.
"Aanya… can you hear me?" he whispered.
For a moment, everything was silent.
Then suddenly—
Aanya's fingers moved.
The heart monitor started beeping faster.
Arjun's eyes widened with relief.
"Aanya!"
Her eyelids slowly lifted.
But the moment their eyes met…
Arjun felt a chill run down his spine.
Because the girl lying on the bed was smiling.
Not a weak smile.
Not a relieved smile.
But a strange… cold smile.
As if she knew something he didn't.
Then she whispered very softly—
"You shouldn't have come back tonight…"
Before Arjun could react, the hospital lights went completely dark.
And on the ceiling above them…
A crimson shadow slowly opened its glowing
eyes."But the girl who opened her eyes… wasn't the same Aanya anymore."
So who was she ?
