Seraphine's Secret
As the battle raged, Seraphine remained near the edge of the chamber, carefully observing the movements of the Void Hunters.
Her expression grew more serious with every passing moment.
"These hunters aren't fighting recklessly," she muttered.
"They're waiting."
Suddenly three hunters rushed toward her, realizing she was unprotected.
Seraphine sighed softly.
"I was hoping to avoid this."
Dark purple magic suddenly formed in her palm.
The hunters froze.
Seraphine stepped forward calmly.
"I suppose I can show you a little of my power."
She released the spell.
A sharp wave of energy burst outward, knocking all three hunters off their feet instantly.
Kael glanced back, surprised.
"You never mentioned you could fight."
Seraphine smiled faintly.
"I didn't think it would be necessary."
The hunter captain noticed as well.
"So the guardian of the Abyss King's heir finally reveals herself."
Seraphine's eyes narrowed slightly.
"You talk too much."
The hunters were slowly realizing something important.
This mission was far more dangerous than they had anticipated.
