Beacon Hills.

After the brutal battle between the hunters and the Hale Pack, the forest that once echoed with gunfire, growls, and bloodshed slowly returned to silence.

Nature healed itself.

The wind once again moved peacefully between the tall trees.

Birds returned.

The scent of danger faded.

Days passed.

Weeks followed.

Months rolled by.

And before anyone truly noticed—

Three years had passed.

During those three years, the Hale Pack did not remain idle.

They grew.

Stronger.

Smarter.

Larger.

Talia Hale, the Alpha leader of the pack, ensured that every member trained constantly. Strength alone was not enough to survive in a world filled with hunters, and creatures older than recorded history.

The Betas trained relentlessly.

The younger wolves learned to control their instincts.

Even the adopted children of the pack—once fragile orphans rescued from dangerous situations—were now growing into formidable warriors.

Within those three years, a decision had been made.

Every adopted child of the Hale family chose to receive the Bite.

To become werewolves.

Not for power.

But for survival.

In a world that hunted the supernatural…

Being human was simply too dangerous.

Yet among all of them—

One remained human.

Arthur.

Now thirteen years old.

At this very moment, the pack's training field deep within the forest echoed with the sound of combat.

Two figures clashed.

Fists collided.

Footwork shifted across the dirt.

Arthur moved like a shadow, slipping past attacks with unnatural ease before countering with sharp strikes that forced his opponent backward.

Across the field, several pack members watched the sparring session with interest.

Laura Hale crossed her arms while observing.

Derek stood nearby with narrowed eyes.

The fight ended when Arthur smoothly swept his opponent's legs, sending the older Beta crashing onto the ground.

Arthur extended a hand to help him up.

The Beta groaned but accepted it.

Laura shook her head in disbelief before walking toward him.

"Hey Arthy."

Arthur wiped the sweat from his forehead.

Laura tilted her head slightly.

"Why are you still hesitating to have the Bite?"

She gestured toward the pack members around them.

"Being a werewolf has its advantages. You'll be stronger, faster. You can hear sounds and see things from far away."

Arthur rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah."

Then he smirked.

"Then you can choke if you drink water with violet flowers mixed in."

Laura blinked.

Then her face twisted in annoyance.

"Damn!"

Arthur laughed lightly.

After all these years, Laura still hated when he reminded her of that incident.

Three years ago, she accidentally drank water mixed with wolfsbane during a careless moment.

The memory still haunted her pride.

"After all these years," Laura snapped, crossing her arms, "you didn't change. You're still so mean!"

Arthur only shrugged.

"Don't force me yet."

He stretched his arms lazily.

"I'm still thinking about the pros and cons."

Laura frowned.

Arthur casually added something that made several nearby wolves pause.

"Besides… aside from you, Talia, and the older Betas…"

He pointed a thumb toward himself.

"No one here can defeat me in close combat."

Silence fell.

A low growl suddenly echoed from the side.

Derek.

His golden eyes flashed as his patience instantly vanished.

(AN: i guess you guys are wondering why Derek still have golden eyes when it change colors and not blue. the logic behind this is that: when they kill innocent person and they felt guilty then a werewolves eye will turn blue. if he knows the one he killed was not innocent or killer in his eyes, and he didn't have a guilt after killing that person. the werewolf eyes stays yellow)

Arthur glanced at him.

Then smiled.

Completely unbothered.

The message was clear.

He wasn't joking.

Laura looked at Arthur with confusion.

"Even Mom is amazed at how strong you are," she said. "A normal human is no match against a werewolf—even one who just got bitten."

Arthur simply shrugged.

"It's because I'm special."

Laura immediately scoffed.

"Special your face."

She waved a dismissive hand.

"Che. Arrogant prick."

Arthur laughed.

But deep inside, he had been thinking about something for years.

Something strange.

Something that didn't make sense.

Ever since he reincarnated into this world…

His body had been different.

Stronger.

Faster.

His stamina increased every single year.

Even without turning into a werewolf.

Arthur narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked at his hands.

Is this my golden finger?

a cheat for my reincarnation?

He had tried everything over the past three years.

Calling for it.

Activating it.

Testing every possibility.

"Status."

Nothing.

"System."

Still nothing.

"Golden finger."

Silence.

Arthur had even tried ridiculous names out of desperation.

"Interface."

"Menu."

"Inventory."

"Skill tree."

Nothing.

Absolutely nothing.

Three years of attempts.

Not a single response.

Arthur sighed internally.

Maybe I'm overthinking it…

Just then—

The wind shifted.

A faint scent entered the forest.

Metal.

Oil.

Gunpowder.

Laura's expression changed instantly.

Derek's head snapped toward the northern edge of the forest.

The older Betas stopped training.

Even the younger wolves stiffened.

Because the smell was unmistakable.

Hunters.

But this time…

The scent was far stronger.

More numerous.

More organized.

Far beyond the group that attacked three years ago.

Hidden among the trees beyond the pack's territory—

Dozens of armed figures moved through the forest.

Some carried specialized weapons.

Others carried silver ammunition.

And at the center of them…

A familiar family crest gleamed under the fading sunlight.

The Argent symbol.

But this time—

They did not come alone.

And they did not come unprepared.

The hunt…

Had returned.
